With Vegapunk's current technology, extracting a portion of Paramecia-type Green Blood didn't take very long.
Just like in the original story, the "sentimental tough guy" Senor Pink was imprisoned in Impel Down after the battle in Dressrosa. Only then did Vegapunk extract the Paramecia-type Swim-Swim Fruit ability from him, storing it as Green Blood and placing it into the Seraphim Jinbe.
Daz Bones, too, was captured alongside Crocodile and sent to Impel Down. Vegapunk extracted the powers of the Dice-Dice Fruit from him as well. Keep in mind, the time span between Daz Bones' imprisonment after the Alabasta incident and his escape during the Marineford War wasn't long, yet Vegapunk still managed to obtain his ability.
That means the Green Blood containing the Dice-Dice Fruit's powers was stored for over a year, waiting until the Seraphim project had matured enough to implant it into the Seraphim Mihawk.
Around the time of the Marineford War, the Pacifista models had only just been completed. The Seraphim project likely started gradually afterward. After all, Bartholomew Kuma only became a Warlord of the Sea two years prior to Marineford, which was when the Pacifista research truly began.
It took over a year for the Pacifista to be developed and deployed in battles such as Sabaody and Marineford. The Seraphim, however, were cultivated only after the Pacifista were nearly perfected.
Boa Hancock's lineage factor was probably the last one extracted among the Warlords. Throughout her time as a Shichibukai, she almost never attended Marine Headquarters meetings and constantly refused summons. Still, during the Marineford War, when she landed at Marineford itself, her lineage factor was forcibly taken.
That's why even the Seraphim Snake Princess carries traces of Hancock's unique "falling for Luffy" genetic imprint.
Both Pacifista and Seraphim required over a year of cultivation—a process far shorter than Judge Vinsmoke's five-year timeline for creating clone soldiers.
"If the Marineford War is going to happen, I wonder if the second batch of Seraphim can even be completed in time."
Souta Kiryuu muttered softly aboard the Ark Maxim. He needed Kuma to immediately deliver the collected blood and tissue samples to Skypiea so Dr. Vegapunk could begin cultivating the second round of Seraphim as soon as possible.
Or perhaps… he should seize the opportunity in Wano and capture the user of the Mellow-Mellow Fruit!
Souta pushed aside his scattered thoughts and piloted the Ark Maxim higher, climbing above the thunderclouds. After giving Violet, Mansherry, and the others instructions to protect themselves, he left the ship and plunged back into the raging battlefield.
Having achieved several of his planned objectives in succession, Souta's interest now turned to obtaining blood samples from two of the most powerful Paramecia users: Fujitora and Big Mom, Charlotte Linlin.
Of course, if he could get samples from Kaido of the Beasts, Akainu, Aokiji, Dragon, or even Saint Garling, it would be even better. Even without Paramecia abilities, their genes alone could produce formidable Seraphim.
The battlefield where Saint Garling, Akainu, Kaido, and King the Wildfire clashed was too chaotic, and Souta had no desire to step into such a terrifying maelstrom.
Likewise, the battle between Aokiji and Dragon was little more than a sideshow and not worth his attention. As for Shiki the Golden Lion—unless he was beaten half to death, there was little chance of capturing him. If Shiki decided to leave, few could stop him.
That left Fujitora and Big Mom. Big Mom's steel balloon-like body was difficult to penetrate. So it was more worthwhile to push Fujitora, the blind Admiral candidate, firmly onto the side opposing the Celestial Dragons and Marines.
If Souta could sever Fujitora's ties to the Navy, perhaps he could even recruit him into the Kiryuu Pirates.
The thought intrigued him.
When he returned to the shoreline battlefield, Souta discovered that while he had gone to deal with Shiki, the God Knights—who had been scared off earlier—had regrouped and joined the fight against Fujitora.
The three God Knights seemed determined to kill the blind man with the powers of the Gravity Fruit.
"What a perfect opportunity."
Souta's lips curled into a grin. These zealots were forcing Fujitora onto the pirates' side. Then Souta would make sure Fujitora's hands were stained with Celestial Dragon blood, pushing him completely onto a path of no return.
He lunged at the God Knights with a feral smile.
"Fujitora! Hold on! I'm coming to help you!" Souta shouted, his voice heavy with murderous intent, as if they were close comrades.
Montbard Saint, still traumatized from watching Souta tear apart Gouste Saint with his bare hands, panicked at the sight of him.
"Be careful! This filthy experiment is the one who killed Gouste Saint!!" he cried out, warning Faust Saint and Cornef Saint. He would rather fight Fujitora, whose strikes carried no killing intent, than face Souta.
"Damn it! Why are today's enemies all so troublesome?!" Cornef Saint cursed. The sudden arrival of Shiki and Fujitora had completely derailed their plans, forcing their powerful forces into stalemate.
"This battle is lost already. Sengoku and Garling both miscalculated!" Faust Saint realized after a single clash with Souta. The man's strength was overwhelming, perhaps beyond even his own. Retreat seemed the only option—and if this war failed, perhaps the position of God Knight commander would pass to the Mamaya family instead.
"Damn Sengoku! Why didn't he deploy Kizaru or Garp?!" Cornef Saint howled in frustration, blood spraying as Souta's claws slashed into his arm. It was the first wound he had taken even after fighting Fujitora for so long.
This experiment was nothing like Fujitora—Souta was a merciless predator whose hands were already stained with the blood of two ordinary Celestial Dragons and one God Knight.
"Stranger or not, don't speak as though we are allies." Fujitora frowned, unwilling to be tied to Souta's name. He still wanted to return to his mission: saving people. The last thing he wanted was to be branded as part of the Kiryuu Pirates and pushed directly into enmity with the World Government.
"Fujitora, as long as the Celestial Dragons exist, the world will never know peace! They already despise you, and it won't be long before they covet your Devil Fruit powers. You can no longer stand aside!" Souta pressed harder, intent on finishing off one of the God Knights quickly. Once Fujitora's hands were bloodied, his fate would be sealed alongside Souta's.
