Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Oni’s Dilemma

It had been more than twenty years since AHIA Oni left Planet Orion.

Upon leaving, he discovered that Orion was actually a prison world controlled by the Omega Sect. He felt somewhat indignant, but the clan elders had warned him not to clash directly with the sect.

After being granted permission to leave Orion by the Universal Alliance, he wandered through the universe aimlessly and soon realized that, outside the clan, he was incredibly powerful — rarely meeting opponents who could challenge him.

As he explored the universe, he became known as the Voracious Emperor.

At first, his battles were against individuals and small organizations. But after reaching Evolution Level 7, he accidentally destroyed an entire planet.

A few days later, he was labeled a criminal and hunted by numerous Evolutionaries hoping to earn favor with the Universal Alliance.

After several years of being pursued by equally powerful beings, he decided to return to Orion.

However, every time he approached the planet, he was automatically teleported far away.

If he tried to teleport directly to Orion, he would end up in distant galaxies instead.

After several attempts, he finally understood what the clan elders meant when they told him he would be forbidden to set foot on Orion for a hundred years if he chose to leave.

> "If the elders hadn't put that restriction on me, do you really think I'd be wasting time talking to you lot?" Oni thought, glancing at the Aings aboard the ship.

— On Orion, find a clan called AHIA and tell their patriarch that Oni wants to come back. I'm tired of this universe already, — Oni said to Etron.

— Your message will be delivered, sir, — Etron replied, relieved. His people's technology was powerful, but nowhere near strong enough to challenge a Level 7 being.

As soon as Etron answered, Oni summoned a blanket, lay down on the floor, and closed his eyes — tongue hanging out, just like a real dog.

— Sir, are we really just going to leave him here? — one of the Aing whispered to Etron.

Hearing this, Etron glared at him with the fury of a predator and said:

— You're welcome to wake him up and ask him to leave.

The Aing who spoke turned pale, lowered his head, and pretended not to hear.

— Let's continue the journey, — Etron ordered the rest of the crew.

He then summoned another Aing and instructed him to gather information about the clan the Voracious Emperor had mentioned.

— Sir, I believe it's the same clan affiliated with the Johns. According to the data, AHIA seems to be a small native clan from Orion, — the Aing reported after checking the records.

After a long eight-day voyage, the Aing ship finally neared Orion.

As the vessel approached the planet's orbit, Oni suddenly vanished — reappearing in a galaxy thousands of light-years away.

> "So even hitching a ride doesn't work... Hopefully, they'll deliver my message to the clan. Damn those elders — all I wanted was a little trip, and they went and exiled me for a hundred years," Oni thought, feeling dejected.

When the ship entered Orion's proximity, it came to a halt. Etron stepped out and bowed deeply toward the planet, holding a green crystal amulet engraved with the Dragon symbol (Yin and Yang).

— The delegation of the Aing, on a mission for the Johns family, requests authorization to enter Asta Two, — he declared.

Etron suddenly felt an immense pressure crush his body — the kind that steals one's breath — but after a few moments, it faded.

— You may enter, — answered a hoarse, thunderous voice, its vibration shaking even his soul.

Upon hearing this, Etron gave thanks and returned to the ship, which resumed its descent into the planet's atmosphere.

After their long journey, the Aings

officially became the first foreign race to set foot on Orion.
