He tried to take a soft approach, but Sienna Thornton wasn't keen on listening, and gestured for Simon Forrester to hang up the phone.
After hanging up, Simon sat next to her. Before he could speak, she suddenly threw herself into his arms, a mix of anger and grievance in her voice: "Why does Partner Reed have to do this? It's one thing for others not to understand the significance of this case to me, but why does he?"
Simon hugged her, comforting softly, "It's not that he doesn't understand, he just chose to save himself the trouble by letting you feel aggrieved."
"What a jerk!" Sienna cried out in mock sobs, reaching her limit.
Simon held her, kissed her temple, and laughed helplessly: "That's why I've always told you, apart from me, every other man in the world is a jerk!"
