As soon as March arrives, Yangzhou transforms into a sea of flowers: camellias, peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, pear blossoms, magnolias, redbuds, plum blossoms, and over a dozen other types of flowers bloom in succession. The famous Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai once wrote in a poem: 'In the misty, flowery March, I go down to Yangzhou.'
Among all the flowers, the most renowned is still the plum blossom. In the Song Family's Shouzhi Garden, there is a famous Plum Garden in the entire Yangzhou, where over three hundred precious plum trees are planted, including dozens of hundred-year-old plum trees transplanted from elsewhere. Although it can't be called 'ten miles of fragrant plum blossom sea,' it is still incredibly beautiful.
