Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Backing Up

This time, returning to his alma mater, Su Qing showcased his embarrassing past in all its glory.

The key point is, in this office, most of them are still the teachers who taught him, even the often-sick physical education teacher joined in the fun.

Chinese teacher: "Su Qing, you should be a college graduate by now, right? Are you seeing someone? Do you still keep in touch with Ning Tong from our class?" [The kind Chinese teacher is concerned about you, but is mainly gossiping about your love life.]

"Yeah, back then you had an interest in Ning Tong, didn't you? In class, your eyes just kept wandering over to her," the physics teacher clapped excitedly.

[The cheerful physics teacher suddenly remembered something amusing and is a bit curious if your classmates thought of you as anything other than a pile of cow dung.]

The chemistry teacher, not wanting to be outdone, saw his surprised speechless look and couldn't help but laugh, saying, "What's the matter? Shocked that we know? Haha! Let me tell you, we've been through your age, we can see through your little thoughts!"

[On the surface, the chemistry teacher seems calm, but in reality, he's pretending to understand; he really has no clue about the gossip and has nearly forgotten your name.]

"Really? I kind of remember Ning Tong, tall and slim, I heard she went to university in the capital. So, did you have feelings for her? Did you two end up together?" The biology teacher laughed, seeing him shake his head, and couldn't help but scorn, "You useless thing!"

[The straightforward biology teacher always speaks his mind, one of the few honest people among the teachers.]

At this moment, Su Qing was full of black lines in his mind. What is all this? Why didn't he notice how out of touch these teachers were back then? Why do they seem so different from when they initially met after graduating for a few years? So gossipy!

"Brother, who's Ning Tong?" Su He asked quietly from the side.

Su Qing: "Get lost, do you have a say when adults are talking?"

Meanwhile, Teacher Hu hadn't taught Su Qing, so he didn't offer any opinions. However, the look he gave Su Qing was filled with a faint smile, making the office atmosphere extraordinarily joyful for a moment.

A few teachers latched onto his identity and dragged the memories back to when he was in high school, talking about cutting classes to go online, getting caught smoking in the restroom, throwing melon seed shells from the fourth-floor window which ended up hitting the principal's head, leading to his parents being called and sweeping the schoolyard for a week and a series of funny incidents the teachers just couldn't finish recounting.

At this moment, Su He was wide-eyed in astonishment; she'd never known her elder brother had this side during school, truly underestimating him. He was far beyond the guys sitting in the last row of her class!

Just then, the homeroom teacher He Wei came in, followed by two women, one older and one younger.

The younger one was in the same school uniform as Su He, with an oval face, around one meter sixty tall. Her uniform was clearly tailored, while the older woman was in her forties, wearing a sun hat and sunglasses, looking very fashionable but slightly out of shape.

By this point, Su Qing already had some guesses about their identities.

"Parents of Jiang Xuelan, please have a seat. Su Qing, you come over too!"

With that, the few people moved forward, and just then, the class bell rang, prompting the teachers in the office to get up one by one. He Wei exchanged classes with the biology teacher, leaving only Teacher Hu and another teacher in the office, which quieted down again.

"Have you both heard about the conflict between Jiang Xuelan and Su He last Friday? Although it didn't cause any serious consequences, with the college entrance exams coming, I absolutely cannot allow disturbances in my class. Let's hear it, what happened?" He Wei said softly as he sat at his desk.

At this moment, Su Qing, his sister Su He, and her classmate were the only ones standing in the office. Being a parent, it was quite embarrassing for him.

Upon hearing, before he could speak, the woman sitting on the sofa spoke up, "I've heard all about it. Teacher, this matter shouldn't be blamed on us, right? The school has a rule against early dating. My daughter just said a couple of words, look, her hair was pulled out quite a bit. When she came back home last Saturday, her arm still had scratch marks. Today, they must apologize!"

Upon hearing this, He Wei instinctively furrowed his brows, thinking this woman was rather unreasonable. Yet, Su He wouldn't have it, immediately refuting, "You're talking nonsense! Jiang Xuelan spread falsehoods about me. It's none of my business if she likes Liu Bo from class seven. Who knows who confessed and got rejected, serves her right!"

"Su He!! You're talking nonsense! How dare you say you weren't in love? Don't think I don't know he's pursuing you!" Jiang Xuelan exploded on the spot.

The woman sitting on the sofa removed her sunglasses, stood up, and said sternly, "Watch your words, child, no manners at all. Teacher, you see, today if they don't apologize, it's just not happening!"

[Interrupted from a date with a passionate lover, the woman was simmering with anger, eager to resolve the issue and head to the quick hotel in South City Pedestrian Street...]

Listening to the background information, Su Qing's expression became increasingly intriguing, never expecting to hear such an exciting piece of news.

Ever since the woman started speaking, the narration in his head hadn't stopped. He even learned about her next schedule and that her date was actually her husband's colleague.

One had to admit, the narration was rather effective, specifically delivering important and exciting information.

"You're talking nonsense!" Upon hearing this, Su He, unable to contain her explosive temper, was about to make a move, fortunately stopped by Su Qing.

"An apology is out of the question. Speaking of manners, wasn't it your daughter who first swore?" Su Qing stepped forward and pulled Su He aside with a smile.

Having come here, he wasn't about to just swallow his pride. The Su Family was not in the habit of doing so. If the other party had shown good manners, he would not have said much, at most having the two children apologize to each other, ensuring everyone's happiness. However, if they insisted on being aggressive, he wouldn't hesitate either, after all, he was there to back Su He.

"Who are you?" the woman asked.

Su Qing looked too young; if not for the absence of a school uniform, she might have assumed he was a student, without any thought that he was a parent.

"I'm her brother, here to sort this out."

"Who did you think you are, huh? Feeling guilty? You should have said earlier if you couldn't bring the parents. I have nothing to say to a kid who isn't fully grown, Teacher, please call their parents!" she said nonchalantly.

At this moment, He Wei was also somewhat troubled. Originally, he only intended to ask both parents to resolve the issue and give Su He and her counterpart a lesson. He hadn't expected an unseeing person to show up, causing issues so close to the college entrance exams.

Before He Wei could speak, Su Qing smiled, "Indeed, I'm not fully grown; Li Gang has lots of hair, let him come."

Upon hearing this, the woman felt a chill down her spine but immediately collected herself, "What Li Gang or Wang Gang? I just want to know if you can get your parents here, otherwise, I have nothing to say to you."

To this, Su Qing shook his head. They really wouldn't cry until they see the coffin: "Alright, I'll get him out of room 302 from the quick hotel on South City Pedestrian Street, how about that?"

Upon hearing this, the woman's previous composure vanished, her face showing evident panic. Seeing this, Su Qing continued:

"Dear parent, I assume you, too, don't want to escalate the situation, right?"
