NO!
Their was one difference between them—
It was that Saori Shimizu seemed more indifferent and colder than Yukino.
Her sharp eyes radiated an air of cold detachment, enough to make Yukinoshita Yukino feel a faint chill run down her spine.
Saori walked over slowly, her steps calm but firm.
Yukinoshita Yukino glanced at the man beside her — Akira Fujimiya — who met Saori's gaze with composed curiosity.
"Ms. Shimizu, you don't have to attended the audition today, right?" Akira asked, his tone polite but casual.
"I want to challenge you," Saori replied simply, her expression unwavering.
"Challenge me?" Akira raised an eyebrow, a faint smile forming on his lips. "I'm not a professional voice actor — just an amateur."
"You are a professional," Saori said seriously, her eyes unwavering.
Akira chuckled lightly. "Thank you for your recognition. However, I don't have time to accept your challenge today. I'm going on a date with my girlfriend — can't keep her waiting."
Upon hearing this, Saori turned her gaze to Yukinoshita Yukino.
Yukino met her eyes calmly, though she could feel Saori's cold indifference piercing through.
"Hello, I'm Akira Fujimiya's girlfriend, Yukinoshita Yukino," she said politely, extending her hand.
"Saori Shimizu."
Saori shook her hand briefly, then turned around and left without another word.
Hikigaya Komachi, who had been watching from nearby, waved cheerfully. "Akira nii-san, Yukinoshita nee-san, I wish you both a great date!" she said before running off after Saori.
Yukinoshita Yukino glanced at Akira.
He, on the other hand, was still watching Komachi's retreating figure.
"That Miss Shimizu is quite beautiful," Yukino remarked, her tone casual but her eyes sharp.
"Yes," Akira replied thoughtfully. "Though she's not nearly as beautiful as my little Yukino, she's still somewhat pretty."
"You only know how to say nice things during times like this, " Yukinoshita said, rolling her eyes lightly.
"If Yukino doesn't want to hear it, I'll tell it to someone else next time," Akira teased with a grin.
"Which girl?" Yukinoshita asked, her voice suddenly colder.
"Of course, Yui," Akira said innocently.
Yukinoshita Yukino's eyes widened slightly; she glared at him before walking ahead.
Akira followed, still smiling.
.....
Leaving the Hoshiyuu Agency,
Akira and Yukinoshita Yukino made their way to the Future Comics Publishing House.
As soon as they entered, Sato Yumiko, one of the editors, greeted them respectfully.
She recognized Yukinoshita Yukino immediately — the elegant second daughter of the Yukinoshita family.
After exchanging polite greetings, Yumiko led them into a recording room.
Akira had another task here today — to record a Q&A video for promotional purposes.
In this session, twenty questions would be randomly selected from five boxes of envelopes. (The fan letter that he got)
Akira would draw the numbers, and the corresponding envelopes would be retrieved by the assistant.
A makeup artist quickly came and heightened Akira's appearance before the cameras started recording.
Tamura Nanako, the host, was responsible for it. After explaining the rules, she asked if Akira understood.
"Yeah, got it," Akira said with a nod.
The recording began.
Akira drew numbers from the boxes while the camera followed closely to ensure authenticity.
Of course, not everything recorded would be broadcast — certain parts would be edited out later before uploading it to the public.
For instance, the first letter Akira opened contained a photo.
The moment he saw it, he gave a small shake of his head toward the camera operator, silently indicating that this part shouldn't be included.
Nanako peeked at the photo and her face flushed slightly.
"Let's skip that one and move on," Akira said calmly, handing the envelope back to her.
Nanako nodded quickly and set it aside.
Yukinoshita Yukino, curious, glanced at the photo and immediately frowned. She didn't say anything, but her expression spoke volumes.
The remaining letters were harmless —
One asked about Akira's age, another asked whether he had a girlfriend, another that came from a young girl who wanted to be friends with Renge, the main character from Non Non Biyori.
Akira smiled at that one; perhaps the voice actress could reply on his behalf later.
Once the recording finished,
Nanako handled the initial editing. When she noticed Yukinoshita Yukino waiting nearby, she tactfully excused herself, leaving quickly to give them privacy.
Yumiko Sato later brought them into her office and showed them a draft of the supplement cover.
Compared to Future Comics Weekly, the supplement looked flashier — almost like a trendy magazine rather than a manga publication.
Akira studied it for a moment, then said thoughtfully,
"The supplement doesn't need to be so flashy. Just put the ranking list directly on the cover and update it weekly."
Yumiko hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Alright."
"The main purpose of the supplement," Akira continued, "is to promote new works — four-panel manga, short stories, and light novels. The current website content isn't enough yet. Let's have the editorial department select and review materials first."
"I agree," Yumiko Sato said, relieved. "The supplement's focus should be distinct from the weekly publication."
"Exactly," Akira nodded. "Future Comics Weekly doesn't need much change. From now on, let's prioritize the supplements, expand the Manga app, and push the Future Comics website."
"Fujimiya-sama," Yumiko said, a little anxious, "the app is convenient, but won't it affect the sales of the weekly and the physical volumes?"
"That's easy to fix," Akira replied confidently. "We'll add manga points as rewards in the weekly Manga published."
{T/N: Change Comic points to Manga Points}
Yumiko blinked. "You mean, like bonus codes?"
"Yes. Out of every hundred issues, five to ten can include redemption codes — worth about one-third of its price in manga points."
Yumiko smiled. "That could actually work."
The idea was simple but brilliant.
Redemption codes could be used for bonuses, similar to in-game currency. Even though implementing it would be troublesome, it would make readers look forward to every issue.
"The redemption code is just a gift for the readers," Akira continued. "Later, when we start developing games, we can link the points system there too. People will know they can earn Manga points by playing — it'll draw them in naturally."
"Games?" Yumiko repeated, surprised.
"It's part of the long-term plan for the future," Akira said calmly. "Manga, Animation, Games — they're all connected."
Realization dawned on Yumiko's face.
"If this succeeds, the publishing house won't just be producing Manga — it'll become a cornerstone of a much bigger project."
"Exactly," Akira said with a faint smile. "Future Comics Publishing House and Flash Animation is the vital pieces of the puzzle. Without it, the vision won't be complete."
"No wonder you wanted to acquire them so quickly," Yumiko said softly. "It all makes sense now."
...
When they finally left Yumiko's office,
Yukinoshita Yukino had been unusually quiet.
"You've been listening to me this whole time," Akira said, glancing at her. "Don't you have anything to say?"
"I'm sure of one thing," Yukino said softly. "Your abilities far exceed what I imagined. If you were to control the Yukinoshita family's assets… perhaps—"
She stopped mid-sentence, realizing what that would imply.
Akira smiled faintly. "My plans are mostly about my interests. I like Anime, Manga, and Games. If I can freely create the things I love, that's enough for me. Other stuff doesn't matter much."
"Don't you like political struggles?" Yukino teased lightly.
"Not at all," Akira replied. "The Yukinoshita family attracts too much attention. To stay in that position, you'd have to constantly calculate others — and defend against their calculations. I don't want that kind of life. I don't want to live like your sister. Or your mother."
Yukino hesitated for a moment before asking quietly, "If my sister ever faced difficulties… would you help her?"
Akira sighed softly, not answering her question.
Seeing that, Yukino took a small breath, looked around to make sure no one was watching, and gently stood on tiptoe to kiss his cheek.
Her voice softened. "When you help my sister.... you're helping me too. "
Akira blinked. "...What did your sister say to you?"
"This is a secret," Yukino replied quickly, turning her head away.
"Then I'll just ask her myself next time," Akira said casually, walking ahead.
Realizing his meaning, Yukino's face turned crimson. "Y-You wouldn't…"
Akira only chuckled as she hurried followed after him.
...
They arrived at Hanada Yui's office, where she greeted them warmly.
After a brief introduction, Hanada Yui presented the latest version of the Future Comics website.
Currently, registered users had surpassed 500,000, while downloads of the Manga app had exceeded 2 million.
The numbers were impressive — and still growing.
"The registered users of the website will become potential users of the app in the future," Hanada Yui explained. "Even unregistered visitors can browse a lot of content freely. But after registration, over eighty percent choose to pay."
It was true.
Outside the app, there were few affordable ways to read manga, and buying physical volumes was too expensive for most readers.
As a result, the website was not just popular but also profitable.
In recent days, competition among creators for the top rankings had become fierce — and daily revenue had already exceeded one million yen.
Hanada Yui's tone brimmed with pride. "At this rate, Fujimiya-sama, within a year, our annual revenue from the Manga platform will surpass that of the print publishing house."
Akira smiled faintly. "That's good news. But remember — this is only the beginning."
Yukinoshita Yukino watched him quietly, the corners of her lips curving just slightly.
She knew — the man beside her was someone who could change the industry itself.
