Chapter 127 - Chapter 127

"What do you mean?" Akira pretended not to understand what Yukinoshita Haruno said.

"To be honest, that young lady has no ill intentions toward you. She is very gentle person, you know." Yukinoshita Haruno continued.

"How do you know?" Akira asked.

"I've watched her grow up. Although she has high status, she has been very pitiful. You'll know the full reason in the future," Yukinoshita Haruno said with a sigh, as if expressing regret.

"Poor health with no friends?" Akira asked tentatively.

"Almost. I can only say that compared to your fate, hers is just a little better," Yukinoshita Haruno said after a moment of silence.

"... Is she related to your mother?" Akira asked, not minding her words.

"Yes, my mother's family," Yukinoshita Haruno admitted without hesitation.

Akira didn't ask any more questions.

If that was the case, then Hanada Yui should know the answer. But he didn't pursue the matter for now.

Now that he knew the young lady had good intentions, there was no need to worry excessively. Yukinoshita Haruno likely made this call because the young lady realized the situation and asked her to explain it.

Without this call, Akira might still have doubted her motives. But for now, he decided to trust Yukinoshita Haruno words.

.....

Service Club—

After arriving at the Service Club, Akira sat down next to Yukinoshita Yukino.

He paused for a moment before speaking.

"Yukino, the Yukinoshita family is very powerful, isn't it?"

"...Yes" Yukinoshita Yukino said after a brief hesitation.

"Does that family have an eldest daughter?" Akira continued.

"Akira, don't ask about her," Yukinoshita Yukino's expression changed slightly as she looked at him.

"Okay, I'm just curious. I heard your sister mention her once," Akira said, not pressing further.

"If you dare to bully her, even if my father steps in, he won't be able to save you," Yukinoshita Yukino said seriously.

Hearing this, Akira more or less got what he needed about the young lady.

She is frail, sickly, had no friends (maybe), and might be the only child in her family (From Yukino's Mothers side). Despite that, she held high status and was deeply loved by the head of her household.

Anyone who dared to bully her would likely face the family's wrath.

With this information, Akira felt more at ease about the young lady. If she was anything like Yukinoshita Haruno, he would have been very worried about his future.

Now, it seemed the young lady was truly kind.

People who appreciate leisurely time were often good-hearted, Akira thought.

Yukinoshita Yukino looked at Akira's expression, thinking of her cousin's situation. She couldn't help but feel slightly concerned—not about Akira being taken away, but about what the young lady might go through.

.....

As lunch break neared its end, Akira checked a message from Sato Yumiko.

"Leisurely, sales volume is 600,000."

This was data from one morning, reflecting only online store sales. Leisurely posters were being produced, with the first batch limited to 500,000 copies, so they needed to move quickly.

Additionally, Renge's plushy and character figures were ready for production.

As for the anime, only five episodes were prepared, and the plot wasn't yet suitable for a full animated adaptation.

However, Flash Animation had already announced on its official account that if Non Non Biyori were to be animated, they would be the producers.

This meant the matter of anime was already under consideration by Future Comics Publishing House.

Readers were clearly anticipating it.

Finally, Akira checked his account's Q&A video, which now had numerous comments.

The audience wasn't just local netizens; readers from other platforms had also discovered Leisurely's Manga.

Many appreciated the art style and purchased single volumes online.

Some girls were curious about Akira himself and wanted to know more.

Logically, the number of comments on this video should have made it a trending topic long ago, but it hadn't. Akira suspected the young lady was behind it again.

He selected some comments and replied.

Some directly asked about his identity, and he didn't hide it. His origins were there, but he had been brought here to live.

.....

In the afternoon, after school ended, Akira noted another update.

"Leisurely, sales volume is 800,000."

At the same time, Hanada Yui reported on the future of the comic software.

Currently, the Future Comics app ( and website) had over 100,000 registered users, and the electronic comic software had been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times. With advertising and promotions, the platform could attract a substantial number of readers in the future.

Other publishers had yet to react, likely waiting and observing. Such change couldn't be achieved simply by talking; it required significant investment.

The initial costs for promotion alone would be hundreds of millions of yen, excluding websiteand app maintenance and updates.

Future Comics Publishing House had already invested over 100 million yen into this project.

Yet the most crucial factor remained content.

Without excellent content, no matter the investment, readers wouldn't stay.

Fortunately, Future Comics owned many manga copyrights, including countless popular works.

Akira could develop the manga app confidently because of these resources. Without them, starting from scratch would take far longer.

Acquiring Future Comics Publishing House was like obtaining a gold mine.

.....

At the tennis courts,

There was another new member today.

Hayato Hayama had joined the tennis club.

As the ace of the football team, his resignation had surprised many.

But he had no regrets.

He knew what he wanted and no matter how skilled he was in football, he could never become a professional player.

Joining the tennis club allowed him to become friends with Hikigaya Hachiman and strengthen his relationship with Akira.

The match between Akira and Hayato was straightforward.

Afterward, Hikigaya Hachiman and Totsuka Ayaka replaced them.

"Can you speak or understand other languages?" Akira asked, observing the two playing.

"I can only understand some language," Hayato said after a moment.

"Future Comics Publishing House owns many manga and animation copyrights, including Flash Animation. Do you know about the App recently launched by Future Comics?" Akira asked.

"I know. I have already downloaded it," Hayato said, showing Akira his phone.

"With the App's promotion, there will surely be collaborators seeking official authorization from Future Comics. Once you work there, learning other language could be useful, not all but try to learn atleast 5 to 6" Akira advised slowly.

"I understand. I'll work hard on learning them," Hayato said, suddenly realizing its importance.

Akira nodded silently.

This was a matter of preparation, and Hanada Yui had already begun work.

Ring-Ring-Ring-

Akira's phone rang. He checked it and glanced at Hayato beside him.

"..I'm going to the bathroom," Hayato said after seeing his expression, he likely guess that it was Haruno and stood up.

Akira waited until Hayato left, before answering the call.

"Congratulations, Akira-kun~. It seems the first step of the plan succeeded," Yukinoshita Haruno said with a smile.

"It should be congratulations to us," Akira replied.

"We? Akira-kun, do you mean I'm part of this?" she asked quietly.

"That's what I mean," Akira said without correction.

"Oh my~, I like that. In fact, the remaining 10% of Future Comics Publishing House is already mine. You don't mind, do you?" Yukinoshita Haruno asked unexpectedly.

"I know," Akira said calmly.

He had 90% of the funding; Yukinoshita Haruno held 10%.

Together, they had full control over Future Comics Publishing House. Even without her, Akira would still retained absolute authority over its operations.

"I've long expected you to succeed. I've prepared the next plan for you, only awaiting your consent," she said with a smile.

"Have you secured a video streaming service for acquisition?" Akira asked.

"Full points~. I've already negotiated the price too, you just need to have Hanada Yui handle it," Yukinoshita Haruno revealed.

"Okay, I'll let Hanada Yui contact you." Akira valued the streaming service greatly.

"Akira-kun~, I've helped you so much. Don't you plan to reward me?" Yukinoshita Haruno asked suddenly, with mischief in her voice.

"I've already prepared a reward for you," Akira said deliberately.

"Oh? What reward?" she asked, intrigued.

"It's the reward you want," Akira said, not revealing it directly.

The last conversation he had with Hanada Yui came to mind.

"Akira-kun, this isn't good, is it? I wanted to wait until you and Yukino married before we…"

"I'm talking about business," Akira interrupted firmly.
