Chapter 121 - Chapter 121

Yukinoshita Yukino was stunned for a moment, her face turning bright red.

Akira Fujimiya calmly took out the lunch box as if nothing unusual had happened.

"Yukinoshita," Hiratsuka Shizuka reminded, her tone — half teasing, half concerned.

"Ah—sorry, Hiratsuka sensei. Let's go." Yukinoshita quickly stood up, trying to compose herself.

The two of them quickly left the Service Club.

When the door closed, the four girls inside exchanged glances, each showing a different expression.

Yuigahama Yui puffed up her cheeks like an angry hamster.

Miura Yumiko looked a little envious, her lips pursed as she glanced toward the door.

Kawasaki Saki remained indifferent, her usual stoic expression unmoved.

Ebina Hina, meanwhile, had that mischievous smile of hers, eyes flickering with amusement as she watched Akira.

While the main culprit — Akira ate the lunch box Yui had made for him with a calm expression.

Well, it tastes pretty good. Seems like her cooking has improved, he thought, smiling faintly.

....

The corridor outside the classroom was quiet.

"Yukinoshita, it seems everything I taught you has already been seen through by Akira-kun," Hiratsuka Shizuka sighed, arms crossed.

"It's okay, Sensei. This much is enough," Yukino replied softly. "I don't need him to make any choice. As long as things stay the same, everyone can be happy."

"The reason that guy's so hopeless," Hiratsuka muttered, "is because all of you girls are too gentle. You let him get away with everything."

"Hiratsuka-sensei," Yukino interrupted gently, "he's also a gentle person. Maybe that's why we like him."

Hiratsuka was silent for a moment before replying. "Maybe… I just hope he can restrain himself after this incident."

"If it were Sensei, then perhaps…" Yukino murmured suddenly, glancing at the older woman.

"Yukinoshita!, don't say strange things like that. I'm your teacher," Hiratsuka said quickly, her cheeks reddening. "Anyway, I'm heading off. You should go back too."

Yukino didn't reply—she simply watched Hiratsuka's figure fade down the hallway.

She didn't doubt the bond between Shizuka-sensei and Akira; rather, she just thought that if her teacher had been a few years younger, perhaps she might have been the one who could win him over.

I can't control Akira… but maybe Sensei could, she thought, her heart tightening slightly.

Yukino's face felt warm as she remembered what had just happened earlier. A quiet sigh escaped her lips.

'Isn't Akira afraid the others will be angry after what he just did in front of them?'

Yuigahama probably wouldn't be angry… but Miura? Kawasaki?

She quickly shook her head. "No… why am I worrying about him? That's his problem."

Just as she turned to head back to the Service Club, she saw Akira walking toward her from the other end of the corridor.

He was smiling—calmly, confidently.

Her first instinct after seeing him smile like that — was to run, but her body refused to move.

She simply stood there, her face growing hot as he approached.

Without hesitation, Akira pulled her into his arms. Before she could react—his lips met hers.

Yukino froze.

After a few minutes, just as she was about to push him away, he released her first.

"Yukino," Akira said with a light smile, "they're waiting for you."

Her face turned crimson as she instantly understood what he meant.

As soon as Akira left, Yuigahama and the others would surely notice—and all their attention would fall on her. Even if they said nothing, their gazes alone would make her blush to death.

"...Baka…," she muttered softly, watching his back as he walked away.

Then she clenched her fists and turned toward the Service Club room.

She had to face the consequences of his actions—no matter how mortifying it was.

Tennis Court – After School

When Akira arrived, Hikigaya Hachiman and Totsuka Saika had just finished their match and were resting by the fence.

Seeing him, Hachiman's memory immediately flashed back to what Komachi had told him the night before.

Tuition's free, there are professional voice actors teaching, and you can audition within a month. If you pass, you can even earn money from dubbing work.

Komachi's parents had been surprisingly supportive.

"Thank you… for Komachi's matter," Hachiman said, his voice uncharacteristically sincere.

"You're welcome. Komachi becoming a voice actor also benefits me, you know—it's a win-win." Akira smiled casually.

Hachiman didn't respond, but the faint twitch at the corner of his lips said enough.

He knew Akira was half-joking.

Half...

.....

Later that afternoon, with no tutoring sessions scheduled, Akira decided to train instead.

He sparred with Totsuka for over half an hour, then played a few intense sets against Hachiman.

Whether in stamina or skill, Akira was clearly ahead.

When the three sat down to rest, Hachiman eyed him suspiciously.

"When did your physical strength get that good? You weren't like this before."

Akira folded his arms, pretending to think seriously.

"Actually, Hikigaya-san… I've been training in secret martial arts since childhood. And I've only just reached the beginner stage."

Hachiman frowned. "Yeah, sure. Secret martial arts. Totally believable."

Totsuka giggled softly. "Fujimiya-kun really has improved, though. You've been training hard, haven't you?"

Akira smiled but didn't answer.

"By the way," Totsuka asked, checking his watch, "don't you have to help Yuigahama-san and the others with their studies?"

"Hiratsuka-sensei is handling that today," Akira replied. "So I finally have some time to focus on myself."

"You got first place last exam because of your 'boss', right?" Hachiman asked, using air quotes.

"Yeah. Thanks to Yukino's notes," Akira said bluntly.

"Fujimiya-kun and Yukinoshita-san…" Totsuka hesitated.

"In the future,...." Akira said calmly, gazing into the distance, "...I'll marry Yukino."

""?!! ""

Both Hachiman and Totsuka were frozen for a moment, startled.

They wanted to ask, What about Yuigahama Yui? but couldn't find the courage.

Before they could, Akira turned toward them and said quietly, "Don't worry. I won't abandon Yui."

Before, he stood up and walked away, leaving the two stunned.

"…You think he's serious?" Totsuka asked after a long silence.

"That guy's too composed to say something like that as a joke," Hachiman replied. "He probably already talked it through with them."

"What kind of solution could make both of them happy?"

Hachiman thought for a moment, then muttered, "After marriage, there's always… divorce."

{T/N: You are smart}

Totsuka blinked, then sighed as understanding dawned. "That's… one way, I guess. But would Yukinoshita's family even allow that?"

"Don't overthink it," Hachiman said, standing up. "That guy's sharp. He'll figure it out."

"Hachiman," Totsuka smiled, "don't be like Fujimiya-kun. When you find a girlfriend, cherish her properly."

Hachiman gave him a sidelong look. "You talk like I'd get one in the first place."

Later – Sakurasou Dormitory

When Akira returned, the four girls were sitting together for tutoring.

Hiratsuka Shizuka glanced up at him but didn't say anything—his grades spoke for themselves.

Leaning close, Akira whispered into Yuigahama Yui's ear, "Don't forget dinner."

"Okay," she replied softly, nodding.

Before leaving, Akira stole a quick kiss on her cheek.

"Eh—!" Yui squeaked, her face immediately turning crimson. She lowered her head, pretending to focus on her notebook.

Akira patted her gently on the head, smiling as he went upstairs.

Yui risked a glance at Shizuka-sensei. When she saw the teacher hadn't noticed, she exhaled in relief.

Then she glanced sideways at Miura Yumiko, who was pretending to read a book.

After a moment's thought, Yui scribbled something on a piece of paper and slid it toward Yumiko.

Yumiko's eyes widened slightly as she read it, her cheeks tinged pink. She turned to Yui, who gave her a small, encouraging smile.

Yumiko hesitated, then nodded faintly in agreement.

"You two—focus on your books."

Hiratsuka Shizuka's voice suddenly cut through the air.

The two girls jumped in surprise and hurriedly turned back to their work.

By the end of the session, everyone's results showed clear improvement.

Yui had passed her monthly exam.

Yumiko was sitting comfortably in the middle range.

Ebina Hina and Kawasaki Saki both ranked in the top 20 of their class—a solid upper-middle performance.

When the tutoring session finally ended, Yumiko and Ebina followed Kawasaki into the kitchen to help with dinner preparations.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Akira Fujimiya leaned against the balcony railing, listening to their laughter drift from below.

A faint smile played on his lips.
