The Alabasta incident had finally come to a perfect end.
But...
A new round of "hero highlights" didn't appear.
Instead, the focus remained squarely on the Straw Hat crew.
On the light curtain that displayed their adventures, a map appeared—a route chart showing everywhere the crew had traveled since leaving the East Blue.
The region representing Alabasta was already glowing.
Yet the next light that flared up wasn't Skypiea's Golden City.
The route skipped forward—fast.
From Alabasta, the line leapt straight across time...landing two years later.
The icon for Dressrosa lit up!
All Worlds: "???"
"What's going on? There are still so many dark zones left on the map!"
"Did it just... skip them?!"
"They're not gonna show the rest of the adventures?"
"But I like the Straw Hats' journey!"
"Jumping that far ahead—it's gonna break the story flow!"
"I demand they show every stage one by one! I want to see the whole voyage!"
"Come on, stop whining! We're lucky we're even getting to see this much!"
The people across the worlds buzzed with complaints about the sudden time skip. But, of course, the mysterious screen wasn't controlled by public opinion.
The Dressrosa Arc—two years after Alabasta—was already beginning.
First came a brief introduction to the kingdom itself:A land of passion and love, filled with lively dancers who immediately captured the hearts of every viewer across the worlds.
Then came the strange, toy-like beings—creatures who could sing, dance, rap, and even play basketball. They caused an uproar of fascination.
But what drew everyone's attention most was the king of that land—one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea: Donquixote Doflamingo!
"What?! Another Warlord?"
"Warlords are pirates at heart! How could a pirate be a good king?"
"Just look at that guy's face—he screams shady!"
"Don't tell me Dressrosa was stolen just like Alabasta almost was!"
"Right—Alabasta was in the process of being stolen. Dressrosa's probably already gone!"
"Warlords really can't be trusted. This smells bad!"
Having seen what happened in Alabasta, people across worlds now had zero faith in the Seven Warlords. The moment they heard that one of them ruled a kingdom, they instantly assumed something was wrong. And this time—they were right.
"Oohhh—!!!"
Their angry chatter was suddenly drowned out by a collective gasp.
The reason?The light curtain had shifted—showing a three-way battle.
Warlord vs. Warlord vs. Marine Admiral!!!
Trafalgar Law vs. Doflamingo vs. Admiral Fujitora!!!
It was the first time anyone had seen these three in action—and the sight left the multiverse stunned.
The scene was pure chaos and majesty.
An elderly blind man in a Marine Admiral's coat unsheathed his sword. With a casual swing—meteors fell from the sky.
"ROOM!"
A young man with a long blade—Trafalgar Law—raised his left hand.A blue surgical field expanded outward, swallowing the burning meteors whole.
In an instant, Law swung his sword—and one meteor split cleanly in half, scattering flaming debris.
Meanwhile, the flamboyantly dressed man in pink feathers—Doflamingo—moved his fingers.Five shining threads snapped out like lightning, slicing another meteor into glittering shards.
BOOM!
KABOOOOOM!
Explosions tore across the battlefield.
Smoke rose like dragons, blotting out the sun.
And when the dust finally cleared—
Everyone watching was left speechless.
The island was scarred by a crater hundreds of meters wide.Three figures stood on separate platforms within it—Law, Doflamingo, and Admiral Fujitora—locked in a standoff.
It was a sight beyond belief.
"What the hell—what kind of god-tier fight is this?!"
"That old blind guy actually summoned meteors! METEORS!"
"How does that even work?!"
"So this is the power of a Marine Admiral... terrifying."
"And that Law guy—he split one clean in half with a single slash!"
"Don't forget the flashy flamingo dude! He's crazy strong too!"
"Back in Alabasta, I thought Zoro's steel-cutting and Luffy's storm of punches were mind-blowing, but this... this is on a whole other level!"
"Yeah, compared to this, Alabasta feels like a kid's sparring match!"
The worlds erupted in discussion.
"Well, it makes sense," Reborn muttered in the Hitman Reborn world."They skipped a ton of battles in between—of course the enemies would get more ridiculous later on."
"This is awesome! That blind old guy can summon meteors! He could crush Muzan in one hit!"Inosuke from Demon Slayer shouted, eyes sparkling.
"Hmm... that looks like a form of high-level magic," mused Irene Belserion of the Alvarez Empire in Fairy Tail. Her ultimate spell, Starfall of the Gods, also called down meteors from the heavens—and Admiral Fujitora's move was strikingly similar.
"Hah! But all he did was blow up the ground a little. Totally not on Irene's level," said Brandish, smirking.
"Still, that guy Law... splitting a meteor in two? Not bad," remarked Killer Bee from Naruto's world.
"No, that's not just swordsmanship," countered the swordsman Gai Nie from the Qin's Moon world."It looked like some kind of special Devil Fruit ability—the blue field proves it."
In the Assassin world, Ah Qi's mouth hung open."So cool! So freaking cool!" he cheered, clapping like a kid.
Across the multiverse, the battle of Law, Doflamingo, and Fujitora sent shockwaves.
But among all the worlds watching—none were more shaken than the One Piece world itself.
"That place! That's Dressrosa—no doubt about it!"
"So after Alabasta, the next big arc is Dressrosa? That place is... wait—"
"Isn't Dressrosa ruled by Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords?"
"Don't tell me he's corrupt too! Did he steal a whole country?"
"Doflamingo became king eight years ago, right? And there was some kind of tragedy back then..."
The pirates and civilians who knew fragments of the truth began whispering nervously.
In Alabasta—
"I once met King Riku of Dressrosa several times at the World Summit," King Cobra said, his tone heavy."There's no doubt—he was a kind ruler who loved his people dearly. But then..."
He sighed.
"Eight years ago, that horrible incident happened. They said King Riku went mad and massacred his own citizens," said Igaram, shaking his head."I met him too. There's no way a man like that would do such a thing!"
"Then the only one at fault must be Doflamingo," growled Pell, glaring at the feathered villain on the screen.
"If Dressrosa's fine, there wouldn't be a spotlight on it. The truth will come out sooner or later," Vivi said firmly.
Marine Headquarters.
"Sengoku," Vice Admiral Tsuru said quietly, "the Dressrosa issue may be far worse than we thought. It might actually be what Alabasta would've become if Crocodile had succeeded."
Eight years ago, when Doflamingo rose to power as Dressrosa's 'hero king,'Tsuru had immediately felt something was wrong and wanted to investigate—but Sengoku stopped her.
After all, Doflamingo was one of the Seven Warlords.
"Let's keep watching," Sengoku sighed."If Doflamingo truly is guilty... we won't let him off this time."
A wave of commotion suddenly swept through Marine HQ.
"W-w-wait a second—A-ADMIRAL?!"
"That blind old man is one of our Admirals?!"
"Impossible! I've never heard of him!"
"Admirals are Aokiji, Kizaru, and Akainu—when did we get a fourth?!"
Seeing Fujitora appear, countless Marines were left stunned.
"So this is... the future, huh?" muttered Smoker, eyes narrowing."That old guy must be a new Admiral from two years later."
"Seems that way," agreed Tashigi with a nod.
In the New World, Dressrosa itself—
"Law!!!"
"That's Law, isn't it?!"
"What the hell is that idiot doing, fighting against the Young Master?!"
"He's way out of his league! Wait—who's that guy he's dragging around... Caesar?!"
"Caesar?! Wasn't he working on SMILE at Punk Hazard? How'd Law get his hands on him?!"
Doflamingo's officers—Baby 5, Buffalo, Gladius—were all yelling in disbelief.
"Judging from the context, I'd say... this is the future," said Monet calmly, her eyes glinting."A preview of what's yet to come."
"NANI?! The future?!" screeched Trebol.
"Damn it all!"
Diamante, one of Doflamingo's top officers, suddenly went pale, as if some terrible thought had just hit him.
"Wait... our business in this country—has it been exposed?"
Pica's sharp, grating voice cut through the silence.
"Doffy!""Boss!""What do we do now?"
Every member of the Donquixote Family turned toward Doflamingo, their eyes full of panic.
But there was no response.
From start to finish, Doflamingo said nothing.
Not long ago, he'd been laughing at Crocodile's downfall, reveling in another Warlord's misery. Now, though, he couldn't even force a smile.
Because the same disaster had finally come for him.
He knew it—the secret of Dressrosa was about to be revealed.
Sabaody Archipelago
"Waaaah! Captain! Captain, you got picked for the Hero Countdown!"
Bepo—the "great pirate" with a bounty of 500 berries—was trembling and thrilled at the same time.
"Bepo, calm down!""Yeah, chill!"
Shachi and Penguin lunged forward to pin their overexcited crewmate down.
Their eyes then turned to their captain.
"Captain…"
Every member of the Heart Pirates looked at Trafalgar Law anxiously. They all knew, at least a little, about the grudge between him and Doflamingo.
Law let out a slow breath, regaining his composure.
"I know I'm not the main character this time," he said quietly. "But… if this can take down Doflamingo… if it can avenge Corazon—then that's enough for me."
Shakky's Rip-off Bar
"Little Monkeys, you haven't been to Dressrosa yet, have you?" Shakky asked.
"Nope!"
The Straw Hats all shook their heads in unison.
"Then it's settled—this must be a vision of the future," she said, nodding. Her eyes sharpened with focus.
Even the tiniest glimpse of what's to come could hold incredible information. And whoever understands that information first—wins.
Grove 24
"Whoa, you've gotta be kidding me! I get Straw Hat being in this thing, but why the hell is Trafalgar Law showing up too?!"
Scratchmen Apoo was practically yelling across the bar.
"It's just getting started," said Killer coolly. "The real focus should still be the Straw Hats."
"In that battle, Trafalgar Law's only the support," murmured Capone Bege, swirling his drink.
"First Crocodile, now Doflamingo—what is he, some kind of Shichibukai slayer?" joked Urouge, the mad monk from the sky.
"Wait, but if it's all about the Straw Hats," said Jewelry Bonney between mouthfuls, "where's Luffy? Why hasn't he shown up yet?"
No sooner had she said that than—
Swoosh!
The giant light screen shifted, cutting to a new scene.
Dressrosa – Corrida Colosseum
The arena was packed to the brim, excitement buzzing through the air. Today's event was the biggest the city had seen in years.
Warriors from every corner of the world had gathered here to fight for glory—and a single, priceless reward.
"Hey, look! That short guy with the little mustache—""Even in disguise, I can tell!""No way! That's Straw Hat Luffy!""Hah! Did he really think that costume would fool anyone?""Straw Hat's here!!!"
In an instant, everyone across the worlds watching the broadcast spotted him among the competitors.
As the crowd roared, the announcer strode into the center of the colosseum.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Corrida Colosseum! Today, we've gathered the fiercest warriors from across the seas for an all-out battle royale!"
The cheers grew even louder.
"And now, let's reveal the grand prize of this tournament—the reason so many have come to risk their lives today!"
He raised his arm, and a glass case descended, inside which was a fruit that shimmered with fiery light.
"The ultimate treasure—reborn from the death of Whitebeard's Second Division Commander, Fire Fist Ace! A Logia-type Devil Fruit known as the Flame-Flame Fruit!"
The crowd froze.
For a heartbeat, the entire world went silent.
Then—
What?!No way!The Flame-Flame Fruit…?!
Luffy's brother—Fire Fist Ace—He'd… died?!
The older brother… had been sacrificed to the heavens.
"..."
