Ding!
The chiming of the phone reverberated through the room and Anna's eyes fluttered open.
She groaned, touching the side of her head that had hit the bed side table but there was nothing. No wound nor pain.
She slid off the bed, her legs gently grazing against the cold marble floor. Why was she here? Did Jeffery carry her back to their home?
She picked up her phone from the bedside table and her eyes widened in shock at what she saw. 'Hey babe! Please meet me at the Grandeur hotel by 6. I have dinner planned for us.'
This was the same exact message Jeffery—Or rather Marissa had sent to her before she caught them in the act.
'Was this some kind of a joke?' She thought, staring at the date and time.
She gasped, her eyes widening in shock as she realized what was happening.
She had somehow gone back in time!
She rushed towards the washroom to examine herself in the mirror. No wounds. Same clothes she had worn the previous morning.
