His legs tapped against the floor of the bus while his eyes darted around nervously as he waited for the other person to respond.
Still, there was no response.
Scoffing, Lucas tried to put the phone back where he found it when he heard it ding.
He quickly pulled it out, his eyes laced to the lit screen.
'You're just about to find out who.'
Immediately the message dropped, the bus started to swivel.
The noise that had once been in the bus quietened down, their faces looking panicked.
''What the fuck's going on? Think someone is about to get rescued?'' One of the inmate asked, his words getting into Lucas's ear.
Lucas paused, his mind reeling with question.
The person couldn't really be trying to make him an escapee could he?
''That would be me. Told my boys to set it up. Who knew they'd be capable of doing it?!'' Another excited inmate uttered, his first filled with relief at being taken out of the hell hole called prison.
