Chapter 69 - The Cat Who Captured a Girl's Heart

Fortunately, after Lin Feng explained himself, Mitsugetsu Miyako and Shizuka were still a little puzzled, but neither of them said anything more.

After all, the enthusiasm this cat was displaying was something they found hard to refuse.

And as Lin Feng had just said, since it was willing to go home with him, it proved that it was its own choice.

No matter what, Lin Feng was now capable of taking care of the cat.

If he really wanted to adopt it, Shizuka and Miyako would also be happy to see that.

"Lin Feng, are you planning to adopt it long-term?"

Shizuka squatted on the ground, stroking Chachamaru's soft fur while looking up at Lin Feng.

"Well... since it's willing to come home with me, it should prove that we're destined to be together..."

Lin Feng gently scratched his cheek with his right index finger, fabricating a unique kind of connection with a completely straight face.

Thinking about it, maybe it really was fate that the System's lottery drew this thing.

Lin Feng hadn't raised a cat before, but he didn't mind doing so.

Especially since this cat was particularly well-behaved, sensible, and understood people.

"Since you've decided, have you given it a name?"

Shizuka was very happy to hear that Lin Feng had decided to keep the cute cat long-term.

Although she had a pet dog at home that was also very well-behaved and obedient, dogs were, after all, the cheerful and lively type, which was different from cats.

A clingy and affectionate, adorable cat was definitely like a top-grade aphrodisiac for girls, making them intoxicated and unable to extricate themselves.

"Hmm, it's called Chachamaru," Lin Feng replied.

"Chachamaru? It sounds like a lovely name," Shizuka echoed, smiling.

"Meow~!"

Hearing Shizuka call its name, Chachamaru lifted its head and meowed, then rubbed its fluffy little head affectionately against Shizuka's palm.

Lin Feng shook his head and chuckled, watching as Shizuka and Mitsugetsu Miyako played with Chachamaru. He took the opportunity to slowly carry the things he'd bought back home.

Judging by the looks of things today, Lin Feng would probably have to show off his cooking skills again.

Fortunately, they had bought a lot of groceries when they came back earlier.

After dinner.

Shizuka and Mitsugetsu Miyako, after telling Lin Feng to take good care of Chachamaru, left reluctantly.

Mainly because Chachamaru was so cute, especially for Shizuka and Mitsugetsu Miyako, their hearts were almost melted by this clingy little kitty.

After sending off Shizuka and Mitsugetsu Miyako, Lin Feng himself was also somewhat tired and slumped onto the sofa in the living room.

"Meow~"

Seeing Lin Feng sprawled on the sofa, Chachamaru also jumped onto the sofa and snuggled up beside him.

"You little rascal, you're quite good at charming the girls, aren't you?"

Lin Feng casually stroked Chachamaru's fluffy head, a somewhat helpless smile on his face.

He had just been working himself to the bone in the kitchen, preparing dinner for everyone.

Mitsugetsu Miyako and Shizuka were in the living room, fiddling with the cat tree, scratching boards, and building a cat house, busy as could be.

Only Chachamaru, the cat who didn't have to do anything, was the most relaxed. It would occasionally rub against the two girls, trying to please them.

"Meow~"

Perhaps it understood Lin Feng's words, Chachamaru rubbed its fluffy little head against Lin Feng's arm, acting like it was being spoiled, and then looked up and meowed at him a few times.

Seeing this, even Lin Feng couldn't say much more.

To put it in simple terms, faced with such an affectionate and spoiled little kitty, who wouldn't be charmed?

However, from what Lin Feng observed just now, Chachamaru, while clingy and prone to acting cute, also seemed very intelligent.

But it didn't seem very interested in things like cat trees, scratching boards, or teaser wands.

Besides the initial curiosity, when it approached those things to sniff them and paw at them, it barely touched them again.

It seemed that these more modern cat toys didn't hold much appeal for Chachamaru.

But since Lin Feng had already bought them, he could only leave it at that for now. Fortunately, Chachamaru seemed more interested in the cat food cans.

After all, these were special cat foods made by pet shops to provide the nutrients cats need, so they were quite healthy.

The taste was probably good too, which was why Chachamaru was so interested.

As the saying goes, "food is the paramount necessity of the people," and it's probably the same for animals – their priorities always start with food.

After resting on the sofa for a bit and regaining some strength, Lin Feng headed upstairs.

He'd been busy all afternoon, and hadn't done much drawing when he got home.

So, Lin Feng planned to finish his work for the day before resting.

Drawing at night was a bit tedious, but with Chachamaru's company, Lin Feng didn't feel like he was fighting a lone battle.

While Lin Feng drew, Chachamaru lay motionless beside the desk lamp, watching him. It wouldn't make a sound to disturb him.

This quiet companionship was quite heartwarming.

It seemed that the ten thousand points spent on the lottery was well worth it.

Over the next few days, Lin Feng returned to his normal routine.

The only difference was that if school ended early in the afternoon and there wasn't anything else on, Shizuka would occasionally go home with Lin Feng to do homework.

Of course, she claimed it was to do homework, but in reality, she just wanted to come over and pet the cat.

Lin Feng saw right through it, but didn't say anything.

During this time, Mitsugetsu Miyako also came over several times under the pretense of being Lin Feng's editor, urging him to submit his work. In reality, she also came to play with Chachamaru.

It should be noted that Lin Feng's drafts didn't need to be urged at all. He wasn't like those ordinary authors who needed to think about the plot and character settings bit by bit.

Ever since he had used reputation points to improve his overall drawing skills, as long as Lin Feng wanted to concentrate on drawing and didn't consider anything else…

…then producing more than a dozen high-quality drafts within an hour was merely a piece of cake.

However, it wasn't a bad thing that Shizuka and Mitsugetsu Miyako liked Chachamaru so much.
