The sun had already risen when Mia stepped out of the bathroom. A soft ray of light slipped through the thin white curtains of the dorm window, painting faint gold lines on the tiled floor. The room felt unusually peaceful that morning. Eliose was sitting on her bed, quietly brushing her hair in front of the small mirror that hung perfectly on the wall.
"Morning," Mia greeted as she dried her hair with a towel.
Eliose turned and smiled lightly. "Good Morning, Mia. You're up early today."
"I couldn't sleep much," Mia said, pulling her blanket aside. "Guess i'm still not used to the new bed."
Eliose chuckled. "It takes time to get used to these dorm beds. They're either too soft or too hard. No in-between."
