Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Tenshukaku

Pointing to the necklace in Yae Sakura's hand, Ming Yu said, "Sakura, you should be able to feel what's contained within the cross. Its power is just depleted right now. With enough power, it's possible to restore the person inside within the Stigmata Space."

Ming Yu wasn't completely confident about recreating Kallen in this space. But since Kallen appeared in both the manga and the game, there should be a way. And the only method Ming Yu could think of was to use the Herrscher of Corruption's ability to project power onto other objects and spaces.

"You mean, Kallen and the others can be resurrected in this space?" Yae Sakura's eyes, which were clutching the necklace tightly, lit up with hope again.

Ever since she learned that five hundred years had passed in reality, she thought she would never see Kallen again. Even within the necklace, only memories were engraved. Although she could feel the emotions, meeting was impossible.

She had already prepared herself to live in solitude. Now, suddenly hearing about a method of resurrection, even if it was just within the Stigmata Space, filled her with excitement.

"But..." The next moment, her eyes dimmed again. "I've already lost my Herrscher powers."

Although Yae Sakura was infected and became a Pseudo-Herrscher, her power came from the core of the Herrscher of Corruption. After Higokumaru's compromise, the core was made into a Divine Key. Not only did Hiyokumaru turn into a small fox, but Yae Sakura also lost her powers as a Herrscher.

Ming Yu smiled and pointed to the little fox on his shoulder, "Hiyokumaru's power is still there, just sealed somewhere in this space. As long as we get that part of her power back, the problem will be solved."

Seeing the topic turn to herself, Hiyokumaru asked in surprise, "Can I help Big Sis Yae Sakura?"

During their recent interactions, she had gradually accepted her current identity and gotten to know Yae Sakura again. Although they hadn't known each other for long, she was very happy to be able to help this shrine maiden for whom she felt a strange fondness.

Nodding, Ming Yu said, "Of course you can. Don't underestimate yourself. You have to believe that you possess a unique power."

*You have to know, you used to be the Twelfth Herrscher, the Herrscher of Corruption,* Ming Yu lamented in his heart.

As one of only fourteen Herrschers, she possessed the ultimate form of a certain rule. It went without saying how special that power was. Although Ming Yu couldn't see the connection between the fire-breathing fox in Sakura Samsara and corruption, the power of the Herrscher of Corruption was undeniably immense.

It could be said that human civilization was destroyed at the hands of the Herrscher of Corruption. Because of its attack, Fire Moth lost its only cities and all its industrial production lines, leaving only a single base, completely cutting off its industrial civilization and losing the power to rebuild.

"Okay, I'll do my best then," Hiyokumaru said with a smile, wagging her tail happily.

"Where should we go now?" Yae Sakura asked. Although this Stigmata Space was hers, her control over it was appallingly low.

"That's up to Hiyokumaru," Ming Yu said, tapping the little fox on the head. "You should be able to sense where your power is."

Ming Yu naturally knew that the sealing place was the Tenshukaku, but firstly, he didn't know the way, and secondly, if he were the one to say it, it would be too out of character and would likely deepen Theresa's suspicion.

Hiyokumaru flew up from Ming Yu's shoulder, closed her eyes to sense for a moment, and then pointed in a direction, saying, "I can feel it. It's in that direction."

Looking where Hiyokumaru was pointing, Yae Sakura said with some surprise, "That's... the direction of the Tenshukaku!"

"Is there something special about that place?" Theresa asked, confused.

"If you have to say what's special, it's probably that it was originally built to seal something," Yae Sakura's face grew serious. "Legend has it that it was built by a nobleman to seal a general's armor that had been tainted by a vengeful spirit."

*Tainted armor? How did the genre suddenly shift to ghost stories?* Ming Yu glanced at the little fox in the air. *What has she been doing since she came to Yae Village?*

First, she lost the power of corruption and became a fire-breathing fox, and now she's involved with armor possessed by a vengeful spirit. *Life is truly unpredictable,* Ming Yu shook his head and sighed.

"Will there be ghosts?" Theresa quickly hid behind Ming Yu again, peeking out with just her little head. The well-informed Principal naturally knew that vengeful spirits were ghosts, and malevolent ones at that. This made her regret not agreeing to Bronya's suggestion earlier.

"How is that possible? It's just related to a Honkai phenomenon," Ming Yu said, patting Theresa's head comfortingly.

"Hmph!" Theresa slapped Ming Yu's hand away. "Of course this Principal knows that. I wasn't scared at all!"

Ming Yu smiled faintly and ignored her, turning to Yae Sakura, "Let's get going. Since there's a Honkai presence, there will probably be a lot more fights."

At this thought, Ming Yu felt a little tired. There had been too many battles today. First, a fight with a group of beasts, then that big fox Higokumaru, and next, the Tenshukaku. Even if the scene changes could heal his wounds, the mental fatigue was unavoidable.

Yae Sakura smiled apologetically. After all, Ming Yu's previous battles were all to help her, and he had been seriously injured in the process.

Leading the way, Yae Sakura explained, "The Tenshukaku is on the other side of Yae Village, quite far from the shrine."

Although he knew Yae Sakura couldn't see it, Ming Yu nodded in understanding. After all, a shrine is a place to worship gods, far from the village. And the Tenshukaku was a place to seal an unclean thing, so it was natural for it to be as far from the shrine as possible.

On the way, they passed through Yae Village. The once lively village was now empty, with only vacant houses remaining. This inevitably made Yae Sakura feel down. Although she didn't like this village, it was, after all, the place where she grew up.

Driven by hatred, Yae Sakura had destroyed this village. But five hundred years had passed, the village was long gone, and those people had turned to dust. The hatred of the past had long since dissipated, leaving only guilt and remorse.

"Miss Sakura, let the past be the past. The blame is not entirely on you, and dwelling on it is useless. It's better to look to tomorrow. Your life is far from over!" Noticing Yae Sakura's mood, Theresa offered words of comfort.

"That's right. What you went through was just one of the tragedies of the Honkai era. Now that you are free from the Honkai's influence, it's like a new beginning. Let the past go!" Ming Yu also persuaded.

Thinking about what was to come, about the hope of Kallen and Rin's resurrection, Yae Sakura's spirits lifted. She said, "Thank you. I was just feeling a bit sentimental. I'm fine now."
