'Damn it,' Jayden couldn't speak, I mean, he had to because the look Zoe shot at him was burning his soul
Just a few days ago, he had learned that beauty can be horrific, but this was another discovery.
Her beauty had a pressuring aura that surpassed that of the Flame Dragon Tamer.
It now appeared that the man he was planning to beat out answers from was her father. Where would he even tell her he got the drawing from?
Whatever he said now would stake his dragon's secret and his personal relationship with Zoe.
'Come on, think.... where's that beautiful lie that would surpass her intelligence?'
Zoe turned to him with a pale look on her face.
"Hey, beastless shit you're gonna tell me what I need to know."
Jayden took a step backwards, shaking until he regained his composure.
He smiled. "Actually, there's nothing you need to know"
Zoe's eyes shaped into right-angle triangles. She drove a kick into his leg,
"Then tell me what I want to know!"
"Ow~ Ow~"
Jayden clenched his teeth, holding his leg and hopping on one foot
"You're still not gonna speak!" Zoe clenched her fist and began closing off on him.
Jayden felt the pressure from her double or maybe it was her beautiful yet dangerous smile that made the air shift.
He waved a hand before him.
"Alright, alright, I'll speak just stay where you are."
Just then the bells rang for the next section of classes.
Jayden smiled inwardly.
"Guess it will be later, I've got beast civilisation lectures right now."
Zoe stopped just right in front of him, "You can go take your lectures"
Jayden's heart rate dropped, letting out a deep breath just before Zoe pulled him by his shirt right into her face.
"Be at the cafeteria by lunch tomorrow"
She pulled him closer without an atom of space between them. Jayden was sweating and shaking at the same time.
"And you better not be playing with me." She added then dumped him to the floor and left the class.
Jayden sat, watching her until she left his sight, but even then, he could still smell her perfume on his body.
"What a woman!" He finally exhaled a deep breath.
At least between now and lunch tomorrow, he would be able to cook up a believable lie.
He had to make sure he had the right ingredients too because if she didn't buy the lie, his secrets would be at stake and for some reason, he also didn't know the kinda relationship they both had, but he didn't wanna lose it.

It was truly an exhausting day, first combat classes and then a terrifying tamer interrupted his beast ecology lectures.
He needed that information badly, who knew if Ryan and Tyler were gonna be willing to share?.
And then Zoe beautifully terrified him just before he had to sit in some boring lecture all about the United States' civil history.
Now that stress had begun breaking the dam of emotions Jayden had managed to hold back.
'That old man separated me from my siblings just because I didn't get a proper beast, and yet he's one of the nation's heartless liars, how dare he?'
Jayden's gaze was fixed on the ground, eyes covered in dark circles, walking subconsciously down the path to his hostel.
'MAGEO, what the hell are they planning to do with those dragons?'
A loud voice barely caught Jayden's attention from a corner,
"That's the beastless crap."
"Let's teach him some manners", Rowen roared as Team One's students began surrounding Jayden.
"No one's gonna save you today you weakling."
"Yeah, you'll pay for all the humiliation you've caused us."
Jayden didn't even know who was speaking, he barely heard their blabbing as his mind was far gone.
He continued walking like Troy's group didn't even exist.
'What was that drawing, 'Paramax Architectural Structure?' What the fuck are they trying to create?
Wait... have they conducted the test on the stone?
They've probably found out it's a fake!'
Troy's group lunch at Jayden at once, with a power-packed punch.
But even in their charge, Jayden was still deep in his despair.
'If they've found out, does that mean they'll be coming to take me for a test tomorrow?'
At the last second, Jayden's body reacted and he jumped high above their heads.
They ended up hitting each other with immense force and falling to the ground.
Troy spat blood from his mouth, eyes gleaming as he saw his claw marks on his comrade's face.
"How dare you!!" He roared as they charged at Jayden again."
Jayden scoffed bitterly,
'My only lead on finding out what these crooked people are up to is my friend's father—no, is she really a friend?'
Jayden dodged their punches subconsciously without looking back. He clenched his fist.
'I don't even know myself anymore, I can't do anything to help those dragons, I'm sitting while watching a whole nation being ruled under an organisation of lies, and even my own roommates are against me.'
"Damn you, you shit. I'll kill you!!" Troy roared, while his group attacked more bitterly.
Still, Jayden was always one second faster, evading whatever they threw at him with ease.'
Jayden bit his lips.
'Cut the crap, Jayden, you don't even have the power to protest yourself, not to talk of a whole nation.
I need to become stronger... fast... I need to surpass my limits.
But what can I do now? Tomorrow they'll certainly come for me!'
Jayden turned with a flash, caught Troy's arm and flung him into the distance.
He brushed Benjamin off his feet and kicked him away like a football just after punching Rowen to the gut.
There was no risk, he did it in private, not like the top students would ever tell anyone a beastless student beat them all up.
Was it really a coincidence that he got bonded with such a powerful dragon?
But whatever it could be, that power came with responsibilities, and a kind-hearted man like Jayden, although he wasn't yet knowledgeable of what the organisation was up to, yet, he wasn't gonna stay quiet.
"No matter what happens tomorrow, I'm gonna come through this," Jayden whispered, staring at the sky.
