Enjou quickly adapted to his evolved body. With a thought, a spatial rift, containing starlight, appeared before everyone.
The aura emanating from the Abyss Passage was still unsettling. However, this time Enjou felt something different than before.
He could feel a certain power within his body resonating with the Abyss Passage before him. It was this close connection that allowed him to so easily wield the power of the Abyss.
"By the way, where exactly does this thing lead?" Yu Jin asked, approaching Enjou while he was immersed in his unique sensation.
He looked curiously at the starry sky within the Abyss Passage, seemingly very interested. He had entered an Abyss Passage once before, but how should he put it?
Yu Jin felt that the previous one was not a proper Abyss Passage. A proper Abyss Passage wouldn't tear space apart, would it?
If The Abyss Order truly achieved teleportation this way, Yu Jin could only admire their sheer brute force.
"Where does it lead?" Enjou's eyes showed reminiscence and emotion upon hearing Yu Jin's words. He seemed to have been away from The Order for a long time, and it was time to return.
"It leads to a dark, lightless underground." Enjou pondered for a moment before summarizing The Order's stronghold.
It was underground, the closest place to the Abyss in Teyvat. Endless rocks and damp air perpetually enveloped the stronghold.
Enjou naturally disliked it there. In his opinion, his experiences on the surface were far more memorable.
"Oh? Does that mean we can use your passage to reach the core of The Abyss Order?"
Jean looked at the Abyss Passage beside Enjou, her face showing more worry than joy.
The joy was because humanity had finally found the hiding place of The Abyss Order, a non-human organization. The worry was that her workload would increase again.
Jean seemed to see many documents crashing down on her. Informing other nations of this news, integrating the combat power of various countries, determining attack locations... and other tasks, all without exception, would have to pass through her hands. Even the Grand Master of the expedition might have to return because of this.
"Don't even think about it!" Enjou thoughtfully helped Jean reduce her workload. His expression turned serious, and he immediately rejected Jean's suggestion.
Everyone was stunned at first, then quickly reacted. Enjou, after all, was an Abyss Monster; it was impossible for him to side with humans. Jean's idea just now was nothing but a pipe dream.
But soon, Enjou shattered everyone's notions. He explained, "The Order's Abyss Passages essentially traverse the Ley Lines; they are not true teleportation."
Enjou's level had risen, and his understanding of the Abyss Passage had deepened. In addition to the power of the Abyss, he could also perceive the deeply hidden Ley Line energy within it.
"You know about Ley Lines; they contain everything. We Abyss Monsters, with the protection of Abyss power, can move through them unimpeded, but you humans are different."
As he spoke, Enjou even looked at Jean and Diluc. As for Lumine, he always felt a little afraid of her. This was another new feeling he experienced after ascending to an Abyss Lector.
"If you were to enter the Ley Lines, the obstructions within them would burst your brains." After saying this, Enjou made an explosion gesture.
Diluc nodded with some regret. He didn't think as much as Jean, merely feeling pure regret that he couldn't personally destroy The Abyss Order.
The Ley Lines record everything that happens in Teyvat. The obstructions within the Ley Lines are the "time" of this land.
These memories and changes, stored for an unknown duration, would inevitably enter a person's mind when traversing the Ley Lines.
Even if it was only one-thousandth or one ten-thousandth of the Ley Lines, it would be enough to overwhelm the brain. At best, it would lead to becoming an idiot; at worst, immediate death.
"Regardless, thank you." Diluc nodded slightly to Enjou, expressing his gratitude.
Enjou's contribution to this operation was considerable. Whether it was confirming the whereabouts of Abyss Fire or ultimately disrupting the Abyss Passage's teleportation, he had rendered great service.
"It seems there are still a few fellows in The Abyss Order who aren't so annoying," Diluc said with a hint of emotion, looking at Enjou and his companions, Enyu, behind him.
He never would have dreamed that one day he would feel a slight fondness for the monsters of The Abyss Order.
"Exactly. Although I hate you humans, there are still a few of you who are tolerable." Enjou looked at Diluc with a "you just figured it out" expression, chattering incessantly about his past experiences.
"Buzz~"
Not long after Enjou spoke, the Abyss Passage beside him emitted a more urgent hum.
"It seems we must leave." From the frequency of the Abyss Passage, Enjou could discern certain information it contained.
The buzzing just now was The Order inquiring about what had happened. It seemed that Abyss Fire's failure to arrive at the designated location on time after opening the Abyss Passage had aroused suspicion.
"Goodbye, come visit often if you have time." Yu Jin waved at Enjou, speaking politely.
Enjou's forward steps paused upon hearing Yu Jin's words. Although Yu Jin hadn't done anything to him, the Abyss power within his body would involuntarily contract when near Yu Jin, which also affected him somewhat.
"De-Definitely!" As soon as Enjou finished speaking, he directly picked up his three little companions and ran into the Abyss Passage without looking back.
This left Yu Jin a bit bewildered. Everyone else says that when seeing guests off, right? Why was Enjou so flustered?
Could it be that he had just committed a taboo of an Abyss Monster? Yu Jin felt he had found the answer. It seemed he would have to talk to Enjou later.
What constitutes a taboo is very important, especially when dealing with different species.
"Hmm hmm hmm~" Seeing Enjou leave, Venti couldn't help but hum an unknown tune. Cooperation always excited people, and this collaboration with Enjou excited him exceptionally.
Because he saw a turning point, he wanted to sing a song.
"You haven't returned the lyre of the heavens yet?" Yu Jin's focus was different. He looked at the blue-glowing lyre of the heavens in Venti's hand and asked in shock.
Didn't they know that Dvalin was almost well?
"What are you talking about? Dvalin isn't cured yet, and the lyre of the heavens is still needed!" Paimon flew in front of Yu Jin and threw his hands up, thinking Yu Jin might have been muddled from sleep lately.
Yu Jin scratched his head. It seemed they really didn't know Dvalin was getting better. Because he had completely forgotten to tell Venti and the others.
"Oh, by the way, I have something to say."
"What?"
"It's just that Dvalin is almost well."
"Ah?!!!" x 5
Everyone's stunned expressions contrasted sharply with Yu Jin's nonchalance. Seeing everyone's jaws drop, Yu Jin widened his eyes and said:
"What do you mean? You don't believe in my abilities? A mere poisoned blood, with me here, isn't it a piece of cake?"
"No, you're too fast, aren't you? We haven't even done anything, and you're already done?" Venti looked incredulous.
He was now filled with mixed emotions, both the excitement of Dvalin's recovery and a strange sense of frustration.
He had been dormant for hundreds of years, and he had woken up at just the right time to heal Dvalin and show off his divine power! He never expected to be upstaged by Yu Jin?
So what was he to do? Was he really going to compete with Six-Fingered Jose about who sang better?
"Senior, you just said 'almost well,' what does that mean?" Lumine frowned slightly. Was Dvalin's poisoned blood so troublesome that even Yu Jin couldn't completely clear it?
"Nothing, just a little residue," Yu Jin replied carelessly. That bit of poisoned blood, at most, would only give Dvalin a backache for a while.
Even if Dvalin didn't fight Lanssangx, that bit of poisoned blood would gradually disappear over time.
"Then don't Lumine and I still need to step in?" Venti plucked the strings of the lyre of the heavens, raising an eyebrow as he spoke.
"No, Lanssangx needs to step in," Yu Jin said indifferently.
