"Wah! Wah! Wah!" The mechanical birds let out a series of noisy cries that unsettled everyone.
"Bang!" A blue-flashing arrow flew out, shattering one of the mechanical birds.
Yelan picked up the parts from the ground, recalling information her informant had once given her.
"Yu Jin, prepare for battle! These mechanical birds can attract monsters, so we're probably ambushed!" Yelan's expression was somewhat solemn. With so many mechanical birds, the number of monsters attracted was probably not small.
A fierce battle was about to ensue!
An ambush? Yu Jin had long expected it, but he hadn't anticipated that they would directly attract monsters to attack them.
Is this… Looking at the Hilichurls rushing forward with howls, Yu Jin felt that his identity as a Mitachurl could no longer be hidden.
Yu Jin released a mixture of the cursed aura he had absorbed and the human soul aura from his body.
Instantly, an extremely powerful Hilichurl aura emanated from Yu Jin. The Hilichurls, who had been howling wildly in the distance, immediately became like wilting quails, trembling before Yu Jin.
Yelan also sensed Yu Jin's abnormality. Her heart was greatly alarmed. This aura was many times stronger than the strongest Mitachurl she had ever seen.
Could it be that he was a Hilichurl that had mutated to possess normal intelligence?
A very unreliable thought appeared in Yelan's mind, but she looked at Yu Jin's actions and felt that, compared to Yu Jin, she was more normal.
"%(Attention!)"
"$—...(The big ones stand here!)"
"$...(Those that can spit water stand at the back!)"
...Amidst a flurry of gibberish, the previously scattered Hilichurls immediately straightened their posture and became orderly.
The Hilichurls attracted by the mechanical birds, under Yu Jin's guidance, formed a giant Hilichurl battle formation.
A dozen or so Mitachurls of various elements led the charge, followed by a relatively large number of axe-wielding Hilichurls. At the very back of the formation were Samachurls and various Hilichurl Shooters.
And next to the Samachurls and Hilichurl Shooters, Yu Jin thoughtfully placed several Geo Mitachurls and a large group of shield-wielding Mitachurls to protect these mages and shooters.
The smaller Hilichurls, carrying Slimes of various colors, moved through the middle of the battle formation—all the Slimes attracted by the mechanical birds had been caught by them.
They could ensure that the Mitachurls' giant shields or elemental enchantments would not disappear, and they could also provide fire support.
When Yelan saw what Yu Jin had done, after her laughter, a chill ran down her spine.
She could tell that Yu Jin's battle formation was genuinely fit for the battlefield.
Behind each Mitachurl were multiple Hydro Samachurls that could help them recover health. Not only that, behind the Cryo Mitachurls were Pyro Hilichurl Shooters, and behind the Electro Mitachurls were Cryo Samachurls.
Moreover, many of the Hilichurls in the battle formation were holding Dendro Slimes, which could allow the Mitachurls to switch between offense and defense at any time.
It was then that Yelan realized how powerful monsters, which everyone looked down upon, could be when organized.
She looked at Yu Jin moving through the battle formation, thought about the number of Hilichurls wandering in the wild, and wondered what would happen if they were organized… "%$...(All Hilichurls, listen to my command, move out!)" At Yu Jin's command, the giant Hilichurl battle formation, accompanied by sky-darkening smoke, began to move.
This time, the Hilichurls were no longer as noisy as before; they silently obeyed Yu Jin's commands. In the Hilichurl tribe, as long as one was strong enough, one could become their king.
If the Hilichurls before were just a scattered mob, now they were a regular army with unified command.
Actually, Hilichurls shouldn't be so coordinated, even with someone commanding them—just look at the Abyss Mages. However, Yu Jin's command was somewhat special; he could give each Hilichurl a personalized order in their ear.
Which foot each Hilichurl should step with, what their next action should be, whether to attack, and how to attack—Yu Jin had it all arranged.
The shouting just now was merely Yu Jin trying to liven up the atmosphere; otherwise, he could have remained silent throughout.
"An unexpected fellow." Regrator saw the battle formation assembled from thousands of Hilichurls, and his shock was no less than Yelan's.
Hilichurls could be organized? And their discipline could reach such a terrifying degree!
"Somewhat… terrifying." Marionette exhaled. She looked at Yu Jin shouting below. Although she said this, her tone remained flat.
Hilichurls were almost endless; they seemed to be impossible to kill completely. Perhaps some people used to talk about what would happen if Hilichurls were organized, but that was ultimately imagination.
Hilichurls, they were just troublesome "beasts" with slightly higher intelligence than wild animals, capable of using some elemental power. This was the consensus among humans in Teyvat.
But now, this consensus had been broken; the Hilichurls had been led.
"Hahaha, interesting. But what will you do next?" Dottore looked at the shaking ground in the distance, watching Yu Jin below with some anticipation.
A very peculiar fellow. It seems I'll have to spare his life later. He had never seen anyone who could master the Hilichurl language and even control Hilichurls.
"Can we go down and fight now? The Hilichurls you attracted should be useless, right?" Childe, unlike the others, was already eager to try.
Whether it was the Tianquan Star's special intelligence officer or Yu Jin, who could control Hilichurls, in his eyes, they were all whetstones.
They were enough to add a brilliant stroke to his glorious battle record!
"Childe, don't be impatient. The best is yet to come." Dottore felt the ground tremble, a smile playing on his lips.
As his proud creation, how could the mechanical birds only attract low-level monsters like Hilichurls and Slimes?
"%$...(Stop!)" Yu Jin sensed an anomaly and shouted, and all the Hilichurls stopped in their tracks.
"Yu Jin, be careful!" Yelan also sensed the anomaly. The ground they were standing on began to tremble uncontrollably.
At first, Yelan thought it was caused by the Hilichurl battle formation moving, but now it seemed impossible for them to cause such a large-scale tremor.
"Rumble!" A tremendous sound came from all directions. Yu Jin saw the ground ahead rise. Dirt and solid rocks, before the giant beast's carapace, were like dust, crumbling at a touch.
"Roar—" The ground shattered, and a Geovishap dozens of meters in size emerged from the ground. Its broad carapace and the dense elemental power flowing within it all spoke of its might.
A Vishap? Yu Jin wondered why his luck had been so good recently, seeing a Vishap again. However, this one was a fat Vishap, while Kutri was a long Vishap.
But this was not all. After the Geovishap broke out of the ground, the trembling of the earth still did not stop.
Behind Yu Jin, flames ignited on the ground, and then thick vines sprouted from the scorched earth. A giant, flaming flower bud bloomed, making everything around it scorching hot.
"Pyro Regisvine? Damn it, this thing that never moves for thousands of years actually came out with a Geovishap!" Yelan wiped the sweat from her forehead, unsure if it was from tension or simply the heat.
This was trouble. These two things were not as easy to deal with as Hilichurls.
"Elemental creatures?" Yu Jin curiously looked at the Geovishap and Pyro Regisvine beside him, thinking that the Fatui Harbingers were really good at finding monsters.
Why were they always finding him helpers?
Yu Jin patted Yelan's shoulder, signaling her not to be nervous. Then he ran to an open area.
"Boom!" Yelan only felt a flash before her eyes, the ground shook, and then she witnessed a scene she would never forget.
A Vishap horn, a Vishap horn even larger than the Geovishap, was placed at Yu Jin's feet.
The crimson Vishap horn, merely by appearing, had already begun to make the horizon red, as if endless Pyro element power seeped from the Vishap horn, making the entire land hot and dry.
Then she saw Yu Jin chop downwards, and the Vishap horn broke with a snap.
"Now you know what to do, right?" Yu Jin raised the broken Vishap horn with both hands, tapped the heads of the Geovishap and the Pyro Regisvine, and said kindly.
"Woof…"
"Roar…"
Both nodded their heads quickly, not just from being tapped, but also from fear.
