Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: I'll Be The One To Defeat Them.

After listening to the fish-head's description, Keli and Kazuma exchanged glances.

No? Do you mean that you fish-people have many cities under the sea, and then there are a few half-fish human hybrids who haven't been to the sea but heard that Japan is going crazy and plans to use these chefs, who can make politicians go mad with just one dish, to stop the discharge of nuclear wastewater? To prevent a racial war?

No, what kind of righteous companions are these?

Why does it sound like some kind of protagonist's drama?

And unfortunately, those righteous companions are all lying under Keli's gun right now.

This isn't some plot where humans disregard the fish-people's goodwill, a few hybrid half-fish people try their best but can't defeat Keli, the inherently evil lackey of humanity, and finally, the Japanese island sinks as the ending, is it?

Keli and Kazuma now felt like they had seen a dog biting a little girl on the road, went up and beat the dog, only to find out after the beating that the little girl thought the dog was being abused because it could only eat rice and dog food every day at someone else's house, and she had to take it home to eat steak, so she stole the dog.

The problem wasn't the dog, it was the person.

The humans are being perverse!

However, Keli still felt something wasn't quite right. The Deep Ones, by nature, are arrogant, and the changes ingrained in their genes cannot be altered by a short human life.

"What about the murders?" Kazuma asked, unwilling to give up.

"Kill... murder, we didn't kill anyone. We knew they could get sacrifices without killing people, that's why we cooperated with them.

Before, they did bring two females to the shore for reproductive activities, and they even hoped I would participate, but I didn't like co-parenting with other males, let alone humans, so I refused. Afterwards, they brought us two hearts, and I could tell they belonged to those two females."

Uh...

Kazuma was speechless now. How did it feel like these creatures were so normal, and the abnormal ones were those students?

Keli's expression changed upon hearing this, and a hint of fanaticism appeared on his face.

"Then if I let you go back, can you contact those fish-people to sink the land? Actually, you should be able to tell that we are not ordinary humans either. We don't like the current state of the land, and what you said is very true, it's just that your methods are too naive. How can you be so soft? You must show humans what's what."

Upon hearing this, the fish-man's fish-eyes trembled.

No, how did they become kindred spirits? But in this threatened situation, its mind couldn't think that much. The will to survive made it speak its true thoughts, also with that strange voice.

"Good! I had the same idea. Before, they only let me stay here to interface. I've long wanted to go to the bottom of the sea. They are just too weak. If you have the ability, you should make humans pay the price and launch indiscriminate attacks on all human coastal cities."

"Bang!" Kazuma pulled out his gun from his in my arms and pulled the trigger.

The Deep One's fish-eyes widened in disbelief, looking at Keli, who had stood up, and Kazuma, whose expression was somewhat conflicted.

"I'm sorry." Kazuma gently stroked the fish-man's head with his hand.

"You should have waited for me to ask more questions." Keli frowned, glancing at Kazuma.

Kazuma took a deep breath. "Sorry, sorry, I got excited just now."

Saying that, Kazuma also stood up.

"You... you?" Sadatsuka Nao looked at Keli and Kazuma in horror, retreating directly to the door.

She had been listening intently to what the fish-man said, but she never expected these two to just shoot and kill someone in the middle of a conversation.

"Why did you kill it?"

"It said it was going back to tell the underwater cities to destroy the coastal cities. Japan's mistake shouldn't drag everyone else down with it.

If everything it said was true, then there's absolutely no way we can let it go back and report."

Keli clapped his hands, pondering countermeasures. Kazuma acted too quickly. He had originally wanted to inquire about further clues. Now, the only directional lead left was Ryouzan Etsuya.

And he didn't know if Ryouzan Etsuya had any other inside men in Japan.

"Let's go. When there are fewer people, we'll go find that Ten Elite. First, let's deal with this corpse.

Oh, and you shouldn't come here anymore. Do you have any other places to stay at the school? If not, maybe you should ask for leave and go home first. It's not safe here either."

Kazuma looked at the corpse in the cabinet, feeling somewhat uneasy. Actually, he was afraid Keli would empathize with these fish-people, so he decided to handle it himself without notifying Keli before shooting. Also, he was a little afraid that Keli truly wanted to use these half-fish people for something extreme.

However, after firing the shot, he didn't expect to feel a bit uncomfortable.

"What about the other fish-people?" Sadatsuka Nao originally wanted to emphasize again that this was her research lab and that they were the intruders who were hiding things and killing monsters in her house, but looking at those two guys, she could only grit her teeth in the end.

"We will defeat them."

"What about the nuclear wastewater and the war?"

"Those environmental department councilors and bureaucrats, we will defeat them too."

...

As afternoon arrived, the sudden academy coup left many teachers and students bewildered.

Teachers weren't just tools; they weren't going to ignore things just because their paymaster changed. Those who actively applied were fine, but many of them had been personally recruited by Nekiri Senzaemon. In this situation, the Ten Elite Council had to proactively engage and build good relationships with these teachers.

This step of the academy coup was a coexistence of risk and opportunity. The risk was evident: a few students dared to oppose the school.

Although a few of them came from backgrounds with some influence, like the Kinokuni soba noodle family from Higashikinokuni and Nishiiro, they were still not comparable to Totsuki Academy.

However, the benefits were incredibly substantial. The Ten Elite, to put it bluntly, no matter how powerful someone was, it only lasted for three years. After graduation, they would go back to how they were. Being a Ten Elite now, it wasn't impossible for them to become a private chef for a dismissed young master's family after leaving.

But as long as the coup succeeded and they enthroned a new Headmaster, it would permanently transform their student identity into that of a meritorious official who had replaced the leader of the Japanese culinary world.

Although, in reality, among these six, only one was truly that utilitarian; the others were all divine beings who simply wanted to pursue higher culinary standards and participated in the rebellion. Nevertheless, classes were suspended today, and students were required to stay in their dorms, as negotiations began intensely with the school's teachers and board members regarding their treatment.

On the other hand, it seemed that Keli's actions of killing many people at Totsuki Academy last night had been exposed. Keli saw police cars driving up the mountain several times from his cabin, but when Sadatsuka Nao checked her phone, there was no related news.

It seemed that the faction seizing power was suppressing the information, not wanting reports of deaths to surface during their ascent, as that might be difficult to explain.

At the same time, in the afternoon, Keli and Kazuma snuck out of Sadatsuka Nao's cabin and, guided by Sadatsuka Nao's years of experience infiltrating the academy, avoided surveillance areas and headed towards the negotiation location.

During this time, the two repeatedly noticed security personnel loitering on the mountain roads, clearly due to last night's events. Ryouzan Etsuya was also scared. It was uncertain if he had received news of his subordinates' deaths, but the death of the Deep One probably scared him enough, so he strengthened security.

However, not everyone was dutifully staying in their dorms and training.

"Hey, you heard it too, didn't you? My uncle said they saw monsters in the lake. Shouldn't someone from Fukushima like you go and acknowledge your relatives?"
