Scene — On Elia City's border wall, Yatrans stands ready. Below him on the ground, the Tail Fox army assembles, led by the Nine-Tailed Fox. Yatrans has the whole city at his back; behind the Nine-Tailed Fox lies the jungle. It's Yatrans and his army of robots, AIs, and golems versus the Nine-Tailed Fox and the one- to eight-tailed fox armies.
Scene — Yatrans is shown (cut to earlier).
Flashback — A short time earlier, inside the guild with Eui, Toru, Pilo, Suzu, and Yatrans.
Suzu: "Yatrans, please give Zil back. Yes, she is important to you — your family — but this city is also your home. How could you let it be destroyed?"
Yatrans: "Yes, I can't allow my home to be destroyed. But it's also true that I can't abandon Zil. So I'll protect both — Zil and this city."
Eui: "And if by chance you lose this battle?"
Yatrans: "Then… then you all can give Zil away. I'll pay for the city's damage as much as I can. After that, I'll leave this city and go far away."
Suzu: "!"
Toru: "Don't worry. You can win — I have full faith in you."
Pilo: "Hmm."
Yatrans: "Thanks! (confident) Suzu, take care in the fight. If anything happens to me…"
Suzu: "No! (loud) Nothing will happen to you — I believe that."
Yatrans: (smiles faintly, closes his eyes) "Hmm."
Scene — Yatrans leaves.
Present time — back at the border.
Yatrans (thinking): "Behind me is my home, the people I trust — Suzu. If I lose this fight, I don't know what will happen to them. But I'm sure Rumu will manage — after all, he has Zil in custody. Hmm. (sharp eyes, serious face) Let's do it."
Scene — Both armies prepare to charge at each other. They rush forward — but suddenly a massive lightning strike erupts between them, stopping both forces in their tracks. Everyone is shocked. The lightning's power even slightly injures the Nine-Tailed Fox and damages Elia's border wall.
Yatrans (thinking, feeling the lightning's impact): "Ugh! What power is this? It damaged the wall even from so far away! Who did this?!"
Nine-Tailed Fox (thinking, feeling the impact): "Ahh! That lightning has enormous power — I felt some damage too. Who in the world could do this!?"
Scene — The light fades, its impact subsiding. Two beings appear from within the clouds and hover in mid-air.
Yatrans: "Hmm?! Who are they?"
Nine-Tailed Fox (loud): "Who are you?!"
Scene — The two beings: one male, one female.
Mosha: "My name is MOSHA — commander of the Uselia Contory Army. And this is Ms. Preya, leader of the Drogen Army of the Secret Sky."
Yatrans: "Uselia's army commander?! (shocked) Secret Sky? Drogen Army leader Preya? Who are they? (confused)"
Nine-Tailed Fox: "Wait — what did you say? Secret Sky? Why the hell are members of Secret Sky City here?! (loud and shocked)"
Scene — Several days earlier, CM's office in Uselia Contory.
Scene — A boy enters the Chief Minister's room.
Boy: "Sir — Chief Minister sir!"
In the room sits a man in an impressive chair — about forty-something years old.
CM: "What?"
Boy: "Sir, our contact with Elia City has been lost."
CM: "What!? Why?"
Boy: "Sir, I investigated and learned that the Tail Foxes have besieged the entire city."
CM: "What? Tail Foxes!? But why? They're rare beasts — why would they suddenly surround a whole city!?"
Boy: "From the information I collected, I discovered that a boy lives there who kept a Tail Beast as his pet — maybe it's because of him."
CM: "Then why didn't that boy return it? Is he mad? What's going on!?"
Boy: "He's not in that city right now."
CM: "Shit. Okay, then what should we do now? Send the army and make the whole Tail Fox race our enemy, or let Elia City be destroyed?"
Boy: "We can't let it be destroyed!" (serious tone)
CM: "Then send the army?"
Boy: "Hmm — I think we should aim for a two-pronged strategy."
CM: "How?"
Boy: "We should ask for help from the Secret Sky. If they're powerful, they'll ally with us and drive off the Tail Foxes. If they're weak, we attack Secret Sky and take them over — Elia City will suffer a lot, but Secret Sky will recover it later."
CM: "Good plan. Send someone to request aid for Elia."
Boy: "Yes, sir."
Scene — One week later. The Secret Sky is a huge, beautiful settlement hidden within a vast jungle. Many different races live there — goblins, dragon-noids, spirits, fairies, and more.
Scene — Inside a mansion sits the Goblin King — also king of the Secret Sky City. His name is Rental, and he sits upon his throne.
Someone from Secret Sky enters and approaches Rental.
That person: "King Rental, someone has come to meet you. They ask for help on behalf of their country."
Rental: "A messenger? From where?"
That person: "They said it was from the Uselia Contory."
Rental: "Uselia?"
Scene — One of the six elders sitting near Rental speaks.
Elder: "King Rental — that country is northwest, very far from here."
Rental: "I see. Fine. Receive them with full respect."
That person: "Yes, King Rental."
Scene — The messenger bows before King Rental and reports:
Messenger: "My King — my country Uselia requests your aid."
Rental: "What kind of aid?"
Messenger: "In Uselia's territory there is a city called Elia. That city is surrounded by Tail Foxes and might be attacked and destroyed at any time."
Rental: "! (shocked)"
Scene — All the elders are shocked.
Rental: "I have two questions. First — why doesn't Uselia itself fight back? Why ask another kingdom for help?"
Messenger: "...."
