Chapter 72 - Chapter 72 Coordinator from the Football Association

After the match against Steaua București, Lin Feng returned to the hotel with the team bus.

He walked into his room, tired but satisfied, planning to get some good rest, as the recent matches and training had left him feeling a bit exhausted.

He lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and the exciting moments of the match flashed through his mind, a slight smile appearing on his lips.

Just as Lin Feng was lost in his thoughts, Head Coach Escribá knocked on his door.

Lin Feng quickly sat up, opened the door, and saw the Head Coach standing outside, his face wearing a serious and earnest expression.

"Lin Feng, I have something to discuss with you," Escribá's voice was low and powerful.

Lin Feng's heart tightened; he knew his performance had always been excellent, but the Head Coach's serious expression made him feel a little uneasy.

He followed Escribá to the hotel's conference room.

In the conference room, Escribá sat at the table, looking at Lin Feng with a solemn expression.

He took a deep breath and said, "Lin Feng, the club hosted a coordinator from the Chinese Football Association yesterday."

Lin Feng's heart skipped a beat, realizing this matter might be related to him.

He nervously awaited the Head Coach's next words.

Escribá continued, "They hope you are prepared for a national call-up."

Lin Feng was stunned; he widened his eyes, looking at the Head Coach.

A national call-up? This meant he might be selected for the National Team to represent China in international competitions!

This was a dream he had always held, but also a huge challenge.

"I know this is sudden news for you, but I believe you have the strength and potential for it," Escribá looked at Lin Feng, his eyes gleaming with trust and expectation.

Lin Feng took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, then nodded firmly: "Head Coach, I understand.

I will be ready and will not let you down."

Escribá nodded with satisfaction and patted Lin Feng's shoulder: "I believe in you, keep it up!"

After returning to his room, Lin Feng's expression was somewhat solemn.

He opened his suitcase and began busily organizing his clothes and personal belongings, as if preparing for an important task ahead.

Beside him, Rodri sat quietly on the sofa, holding a book, but his gaze occasionally drifted towards Lin Feng, full of curiosity and concern.

Rodri put down his book, walked over to Lin Feng, and asked in a relaxed tone, "Lin Feng, you seem a bit nervous, is something wrong?"

Lin Feng stopped what he was doing, looked at Rodri, and smiled slightly.

He answered frankly, "Yes, I just received news that I might need to return home for international match days."

Upon hearing this, Rodri's face immediately lit up with surprise.

He patted Lin Feng's shoulder and enthusiastically congratulated him: "Really? That's fantastic!

Go for it, Lin Feng, playing for your country is an opportunity I've always dreamed of!"

Lin Feng felt Rodri's sincerity and joy, and a warm feeling surged in his heart.

He looked at Rodri gratefully and said, "Thanks, Rodri, one day you'll also get a National Team call-up."

The two smiled at each other, the atmosphere light and pleasant.

Rodri encouraged him, "I believe you will shine in the National Team, keep it up!"

After packing his luggage, Lin Feng's phone vibrated.

He picked it up and saw a message from his agent, Snyder.

He opened the message, and Snyder's concise and clear information appeared: "Lin Feng, I have learned of your upcoming national call-up.

Tickets are booked, I'm waiting for you at the club entrance.

All the best, Snyder."

At the grand entrance of Villarreal Club's base, team director Franco and Lin Feng's agent Snyder stood side by side, their gazes fixed on the taxi approaching the base.

As the vehicle slowly came to a stop, the door opened, and Lin Feng stepped out, a faint smile and a hint of nervousness on his face.

Snyder immediately went up to him, took the suitcase from Lin Feng's hand, and softly said, "All the best, Lin Feng."

At the same time, he gestured with his eyes towards two middle-aged Chinese men in sharp suits standing nearby.

Lin Feng immediately understood that these two were the coordinators from the Chinese Football Association.

When Lin Feng walked to the base entrance, team director Franco made an elegant and polite gesture to invite him in, smiling as he said, "Lin Feng, let's go to the conference room to talk."

Franco's words conveyed respect and expectation for Lin Feng, making Lin Feng feel valued.

The group entered the conference room, where the atmosphere was solemn and serious.

The conference room was simply and elegantly furnished, with several comfortable chairs around a rectangular conference table.

Franco motioned for everyone to sit down, then gently closed the conference room door.

After sitting down, one of the Chinese Football Association coordinators stood up.

He was of average height, wearing a crisp suit, giving off a capable and professional impression.

He smiled at Lin Feng and was the first to speak: "Hello, Lin Feng, we are here to inform you about the next National Team training camp roster."

The coordinator's words conveyed friendliness and sincerity, making Lin Feng feel respected and valued.

He continued, "According to the General Administration's arrangements, Head Coach Gao Hongbo, Coach Gao, plans to call you up for the next National Team roster.

This is a great opportunity and a recognition of your strength and potential.

We hope you will be prepared to play for the National Team."

Listening to the coordinator's words, a surge of excitement and pride welled up in Lin Feng's heart.

He knew this had always been his dream and pursuit, and the best reward for his efforts.

He took a deep breath, then nodded solemnly: "Thank you for the notice and trust.

I will do my best to contribute my strength to the National Team."

The coordinator nodded, placed a document on the conference table, and then said, "This is the official National Team document.

The Chinese Football Association has considered that you still have a La Liga match to participate in the next round, so you can postpone your reporting time.

However, Coach Gao hopes that you will return to China to report after the match.

All expenses incurred for this call-up will be borne by the Chinese Football Association."

Snyder, sitting next to Lin Feng, stood up and took the document.

As an agent, he had to be meticulous and serious; this was a crucial point in Lin Feng's career, and he could not be careless.

After triple-checking, Snyder placed the document back on the table.

He shook hands with the two coordinators in turn and said, "Okay, we will report back to China on time.

We can exchange contact information, and you can discuss any matters with me.

I hope Lin Feng can fully focus on preparing for every match."
