Chapter 105 - Chapter 102 : Open Threat Cannan Academy

Ruo Lin smiled and gently stroked Xiao Yu's hair. "You've grown livelier. How was your holiday?"

"It was fine," Xiao Yu giggled, leaning close to whisper teasingly, "But Mentor, you're getting softer by the day.

If you keep this up, the man you fall for someday will be completely trapped by your charm."

Ruo Lin sighed helplessly, giving Xiao Yu's head a light tap. "You little imp," she said fondly, before glancing toward the others.

"The students you brought—quite promising, I must say."

Her gaze finally settled on Xiao Jian, who still stood calmly outside, one foot pinning Robb to the ground.

"Of course they are," Xiao Yu said proudly, puffing her chest. "That guy had it coming. Don't you dare blame Xiao Jian!"

Ruo Lin chuckled softly. "He knows restraint. Robb and Gora aren't seriously hurt.....just a bit of internal energy disorder. Nothing permanent."

She patted Xiao Yu's hand. "Let's catch up later."

Turning to the gathered students outside, she smiled brightly. "Everyone, come in. And Xiao Jian, you too."

The new students, drenched in sweat from the blazing sun, nearly collapsed with relief as they scrambled into the shade of the tent.

Though this "disciplinary test" had seemed harsh, its effect was clear.....most of them now sat quietly, humbled, keeping their heads down.

Xiao Jian, however, was granted special treatment.

Ruo Lin's soft eyes swept over the group before returning to Xiao Jian. "Robb meant no real harm," she said gently.

"He only acted rashly in anger. Don't hold it against him."

Xiao Jian smiled politely. "Of course not, Mentor.

Everyone in Wutan City knows I'm a kind and forgiving person."

The tone of his voice was pleasant, but every word carried a faint chill.

"Still," he continued, "Wutan City may be my family's territory, but not everyone is under our control.

If word of today's... incident spreads, some well-meaning folks might decide to stand up for me.

And if they happen to take their anger out on Senior Robb..." He paused, smiling warmly.

"That would be unfortunate. I'd hate to see unnecessary trouble for the academy."

The smile on his lips was harmless, but the underlying threat was sharp as a blade.

Ruo Lin blinked, then exhaled softly. After years as an instructor, she had finally met a student who could threaten a mentor while sounding utterly polite.

"Robb and Gora are grounded until admissions end," she said helplessly, waving for others to carry the two unconscious men away for treatment.

As the tent quieted, she shot Xiao Jian a mock glare.

This brat actually dared to threaten me… When he enters the academy, I'll make sure he learns some respect.

Composing herself, Ruo Lin sat gracefully in the main seat.

With a flick of her jade-like fingers, light shimmered from the ring on her hand, and a green scroll and ink brush appeared.

"Students," she said with a gentle smile, "congratulations on passing the preliminary test. You've officially stepped into the gates of Jia Nan Academy.

Now, we'll record your current strength to assess potential."

Her voice grew slightly more formal.

"According to academy standards: under twenty years of age, eighth stage Dou Qi is F-rank, ninth stage is E-rank, and so on.....up to four-star Dou Fighter, which is A-rank.

Above that, the level corresponds to five-star fighters....the highest, S-rank."

When she mentioned S-rank, her gaze flickered again toward Xiao Jian.

After all, the youth had knocked out a four-star fighter with a single slap. Surely, he was at least five stars.....or higher.

Whispers stirred among the newcomers. Everyone wanted to know just how terrifying this beautiful young man's strength truly was.

"Alright," Ruo Lin said softly, raising her pen. "Let's begin. From the left.....state your name, rank, and age."

As the registration started, Xiao Yu and her friends sat together, amused.

"Hey, Yu'er," one of them whispered, "your boyfriend Xiao Jian... he's S-rank, isn't he?"

Xiao Yu smiled mysteriously, refusing to answer.

Her friends pouted, then lunged forward, poking her sides until she giggled helplessly. "Alright, alright! I'll tell you!"

Catching her breath, she said, "At least S-rank. A few months ago, he was already a four-star Dou Fighter."

"What?!"

Gasps rippled through the group. They had guessed he was strong, but hearing it confirmed still left them stunned.

Even Ruo Lin's pen trembled slightly in her hand.

This student… was going to be trouble.
