Adrian sat in his room holding the package in his hand, sliding along the runes engraved along the straps around the black plastic container, they resemble the runes he saw Samuel and his dad use on him and Emma to heal them. "Was my dad a Hunter or something?" He asks himself while something about the package calls to him almost, but as he strokes a rune with his finger glowing a faint blue like he did that night at the Hunter's cabin. "How's your finger glowing broth?" Adrian looks up to see Rollo drinking a whisky from a small shot bottle reacting with disgust after every shot "And you're still drinking, how?" Adrian asked dodging the question while putting the package to the side "I honestly can't believe your not" Rollo says while taking another shot as Adrian stands and looks at him annoyed "She be disgusted" "She always hated my drinking and drug taking" Rollo's words cause Adrian to look with shock at him quickly turn to anger "Your, your on the drugs again" "Look I just need to get through this, my way bro" He tries to justify but Adrian angry expression causing him to retreat a little from the door "Your right she to be furious, just like you are" "Yeah because you almost died last time" Adrian screamed shocking him and everyone else in the house "Adrian, brother I'm sorry but I just can't hold myself together like you, I'm sorry" Rollo says after a moment as he drops his bag to the floor rattling with all his bottles of whisky "Rollo please, I don't want to lose another friend" Adrian utters as he goes against the doorframe clutching his fist with a mix of fear and hatred on his face "You need to think about the people you hurt, what Kera would think" Rollo places himself against the wall behind him and reflect on Adrian's words, but nothing but black corrupts of his happy memories of the three together. "I don't know what she would think" Adrian looks at Rollo in disbelief and clutches his stomach like he just been punched in the gut "I'm Sorry brother" Rollo picks up his bag and begins to walk away but Adrian grabs his arm stopping him "Please brother, stop acting like a different person" He begged tears building in eyes as memories of them growing up together laughing and making each other happy, for a moment a strange aura flows between them looking like a blend of blue and onyx Black. Before the aura between them turns a black purple, Rollo, with cold and inhuman eyes, tells Adrian "Adrian, we're done." Then, the aura snaps like a rubber band, and a shockwave knocks Adrian down, causing him to lose his grip.

Adrian sits up but finds himself on the couch with Kane sitting next to Adrian, who looks at him full of worry, Adrian then sees Emily sitting on a chair next to them, confused and worrying him. "Umm Mindy, how did I get down here?" Mindy smiles and her glowing aura emanates from her soul comforting everyone in the room "You were attacked by Rollo, he then ran from the house" "Almost knocking me over too, as he left" Mindy adds "I then helped your brother carry you to the couch" Kane smirks happily with praise "Thanks little bro, I owe you" Adrian utters with a smile but the memories of Rollo causes him to almost lose the smile, Mindy can tell of his pain reading his pain and sorrow which surrounds him in grey and white. "Hey, Adrian can we go for a walk and talk about something" She asked as a voice in Adrian's head says "We need to talk, about the Hunters, and I can see your in pain" "Okay, I need a walk anyway Mindy " He utters understanding that message was from her plus he has a million questions about all this "Great" She responds with joy as she takes his hand and pulls him up effort almost like he's a bag of flour "Wow" He utters in shock almost ending up in her arms "Mom be home soon, you okay on your own Kane" "Yup yup, no problem big brother" Kane responds with laughter and a thumbs up "Thank you little bro" Adrian returns his thumbs up with his own the two smiling at each other.
"You and your bro are cute, you guys remind me of Samuel and Ieuan, hehe" Mindy giggled as her and Adrian walk away from his house Adrian giving her a tiny smirk "Thanks, that's sweet of you" Mindy giggles and skips forward and stops in front of him with a childish grin "For a monster hunter, your rather …" "Giggly, child-like, playful, some say immature, hehe" She interrupted giggling and skipping back and forth from her left to her right foot smile "Haha, you have ADHD or something?" Adrian laughed finding her skipping and playfulness enduring kinda reminding him of Kera when she's on sugary drink "Yeah, but who doesn't those days" She answers still skipping "I do all this because I have a strong positive attitude, so I spread it to everyone around me hehe" She adds laugh before grabbing his hand filling his body full of warmth like sitting in a warm bath after a long day "Oh wow, that's so warm" He told her as he grabs her shoulder returning the feeling to her "Hey your impressive Adrian, returning someone's emotions back to them, hehe" She giggled then hugged Adrian full of joy then picking him up like it's nothing shocking him "Wow Mindy " Adrian utters with shock being lift off the ground by 2ft as she snuggles against his chest "Sorry, I just got too happy, I love making friends and seeing people doing well" Her words make Adrian ask himself how this bundle of positivity a Hunter like the others, he looks down at her as she puts him down and gives him a boop on the nose before grabbing his hand and leading him onwards.
After a brief stop at the local shop near Adrian's home for snacks because Mindy wanted them to have a picnic, they continue on towards the local park, where she begins to explain things to him.
"We're here Adrian, what do you think" Mindy utters with a spring of happiness and a grin while Adrian looks to her in bewilderment "Umm, yeah, Mindy I have been coming since I was in a buggy, so yeah I know this place rather well" His words unintentional feel hostile causing Emily to begin profusely apologising to him "Oh it's fine, don't worry Mindy" After a moment Mindy stops apologising and starts to smile again "Okay, my emotions overwhelming me often, even on the simplest things hehe" Adrian strokes her shoulder comforting her "There's a tree over by the playground" He adds pointing at a old Oak tree about 6ft from the playground "Me, Kera and Rollo started hanging out here just after we met Rollo" Adrian remembers them hanging out together Kera tending to the wounds with annoyances and narrowed eyes "Sorry Kera" He utters to himself but then feel his arm being yanked forward as Mindy pulls him towards the tree laughing and giggling as she drags him along, upon reaching the tree she lets go of Adrian's arm and quickly sits on the grass surrounding the tree. "Good lord girl, could have warned me Mindy" Adrian utters as he struggles to catch his breath more from the shock than the run "I got excited hehe" She responded as she does a bunny jump before sitting next to the tree "Full of beans, Kera Would say" He said to himself as he sits down smiling and enjoying Mindy's Company reminding him of spending time with Kera "Thank you for this Mindy" Adrian's comment makes shine like a child's and gives her a glowing smile loving his words, Adrian seeing how happy she is smiles back nervously as he thinks "I hope she doesn't think I'm interested in, she just reminds me of Kera" Meanwhile Mindy thinks "He's so nice, I like having kind compliments from people, I hope he doesn't take advantage of that or I'll rip his spine from his body, and I hate to do that" The two smile at each other for a moment before out of tiredness Mindy utters "My Jaws hurting can we stop please" Adrian nods and the two stop smiling and nursing their sore Jaws, Adrian then passes her a sandwich and a can of pop as he takes out his own. "Hmm, me, Rollo and Kera used to come here to eat our pasties sometimes, yeah they were cold by the time we got here but we still eat them regardless" He told her as he began eating his sandwich and lay back using his hand to hold himself up. "It was peaceful, we were three different people, but we loved each other" A tear rolls down his cheek as remembers the three of them laughing before an image of Kera smiling while dying in his arms appears, the image brings great pain in his heart but it's suddenly warmed as a hand held his. "I watched my parents die, last image of my mouth was her being eaten by a Possessed before my eyes putting her finger against her lip telling me to stay quiet" Adrian Looks to her seeing a smile and tears rolling down her face "I stared at my mother as she smiled at as the light left her eyes, I stayed there for an hour till the Possessed finished devouring them down to bones" Her words turn to images like Adrian was in the room witnessing the horror filling him with her childhood like fears, then a man in a Hunter cloak enters the room and rushes to the remains of Mindy's parents with a look of disbelief and horror "No please no" He then looks up out of instinct and opens the cupboard Mindy was hiding in "Oh little Mindy thank god your safe" He pulls his hood down to show her his face causing her to run into his arms crying "Mamma, ahhhhh" She cried as Adrian begins to hyperventilate as the collective shock of everything fills his every being with her trauma "Ahhh, mamma?" Suddenly Mindy grabs him and gives him a light smack bring him back to his senses "Ahh Mindy, I'm so sorry" He quivers in fear as Mindy too quivers but with a smile and a gentle touch on his cheek "No need to be sorry, I should be sorry for showing you my worst memories" "I'm sorry that happened to you" She places her head against his as another memory fills his mind of Mindy sat on a couch, the man who saved her enters the room with a smile and a sandwich. "I know today was the worst day you can imagine, but little things help sweetheart" He places the plate on the couch pillow next to her before sitting on the chair near her "If you don't eat it my boys will especially Ieuan, he's a ball of chaos I can tell you haha" He laughed causing her lip to wince which he sees and smirks knowing he's getting through to her "Samuel, he's the sensible twin and is quite impressive for his age, his seriousness can drive people crazy too, I hope he grows out of it haha" He adds as Mindy grabs a sandwich slice and begins eating bring a smile to her face as he signs with relief, a bang and then a gentle tap are heard from upstairs and less than a second later a young boy runs down the stairs into the kitchen as another walks down with an annoyed look. "Those are my boys, you can probably tell that was Ieuan, being a brat" He adds as he hears Ieuan calling his mom for breakfast "Ieuan, brush your teeth and shower first, please" Samuel tells him as he walks into the kitchen and begins dragging him out as Ieuan wines and fake cries, meanwhile Samuel emotionally is quiet and stoic as he pulls his brother back up the stairs despite Ieuan being heavier. Samuel looks at Mindy for a second before disappearing upstairs as she finishes her sandwich, Samuel and Ieuan's father then hugs her tight with tears "I'm sorry Harry, I failed to protect her, forgive me brother"
"From then on they became my family, and I couldn't be happier," she uttered as the memory ended, wiping away her own and then Adrian's tears. "Fuck, you've been through so much." "Yeah, but I wouldn't be here without those experiences, tragic yes, but without them, I wouldn't be Mindy."
"Is the area clear" The hooded Possessed asked as he and four others walk down Adrian's street "Yes Alpha, I have 2 servants on watch and 3 followers covering each street corner near here" Fiend told his Alpha like a nervous servant scared for his life "Good, there time will come, soon" As they approach the house they see a woman walking towards them holding a bag of shopping smiling "Umm isn't that you…" As she speaks a voice in the Alpha's head screams "No, run" As the Alpha dashes forward punching her in the stomach before she even sees them knocking her unconscious "I spared her, happy" He utters to himself "You hungry Alpha, or is she for later" A Possessed uttered jokingly but stops upon the Alpha turning to him staring daggers at him "No witnesses, she's his mother and she might contact the boy who will contact the Hunters, got it, now leave it and move" He tells them as he grabs the Possessed by the throat and strangles him till he nods understanding. "Good, three outside, Tilly with me" Like a pack of dogs the 3 Possessed stand by near the door as Alpha uses a key to open the door and enter the house "Hmm, you think this was a good idea" The first Possessed Polo asked "We can't go against the Alpha's orders, he could kill us all without a second thought" The second Possessed Eilli answered "I don't see either of you two coming up with any ideas" Fiend told them before a sharp sound rings in his head likes a nerve in his brain got cut "You okay" Polo utters with concern but then all three look down the street as they see two Hunters running and jumping towards them "Shit, there fucking here already" Fiend spits as Polo and Eilli run into the road and prepare for battle, the Hunters are Samuel and Ieuan both with a determined look all the while they are talking through thought "Why are they at Adrian's places, you think there's a connection" They both take a battle stance Ieuan pulling his twin axes from his belt as Samuel's hands begin to have a blue rune symbol appear on the back, the two Possessed charge at them only for Fiend to block the Hunters seeing that were heavily out classed in power. "Fall back, I'll hold those murders back" Fiend's words cause Ieuan to smirk with confidence and seeing this Fiend pushes them back, quickly Ieuan dashes back despite his brother's protest as Ieuan brings his axes up ready to strike only to hit nothing but air. Fiend suddenly kicked Ieuan, sending him flying down the street. Fiend turned and stared at Samuel without a care, saying "You're next." An explosion occurred suddenly as The Boss and Emily drove towards them. Emily had a grenade launcher and, as she reloaded it, The Boss pushed on the gas pedal, accelerating towards them. Samuel quickly jumps back doing a back as he releases two rune stones from his hands, one has the rune light on it and the other having cloud rune on it, resulting in a flash and a cloud to consume around Fiend blinding him. "Ahhh, fuck" As his sight begins to return he is slammed by the black van The Boss and Emily are in crushing him beneath their wheels, after a few feet they stop and quickly get out of the van. "Damn that was close" Samuel uttered from the roof of the van having land on it as it pass "Almost got knocked over too" He then jumps and heads over to his brother who has dragged himself to a car before collapsing "I think he cracked a rib, or all of them" Ieuan winced in pain "I'm sure you'll live little brother" Samuel told him as he reached him meanwhile The Boss and Emily draw their weapons as they walk towards Fiend's mangled body, as they approach he springs to life his leg snapping back into place and kicking Emily into the van back door. As Fiend stands up his joints and bones snapping back into place The Boss grits his teeth and grips his Great axe tight as a blood thirsty aura comes from the door, there stands the Alpha carrying a boy on his shoulder with Tilly behind him with her hands clenched together with two fingers together. "It'll be 2 minutes before I can teleport so many of us, Alpha" Tilly tells him taking cover behind him like a cowering child "Fiend, take the boy" Alpha passes the boy gently into Fiend's arms before staring at The Boss "Don't harm him, it's necessary for the plans remember" Fiend looks at the unconscious boy with annoyance before nodding at the Alpha and moves to Tilly, as he does Samuel tries to intercepts him but then finds he can't move towards him and his gaze moves towards The Alpha. As Emily and Ieuan try to stand and recover they both feel themselves being drawn towards the Alpha as well, meanwhile The Boss continues to grind his teeth as The Alpha stares at him with no emotion whatsoever. "Your feeling his power and bloodlust" He explained as he gripped his War axe "He may not show it but he's trying to scare us, but you won't feel it due to your training…" Before The Boss can finish explaining Ieuan suddenly jumps past him with animal like eyes, before The Boss can stop him Ieuan is quickly knocked into a nearby car hard by The Alpha who didn't even flinch. "I'm not trying to scare you" The Alpha tells him with a light demonic smirk "I'm proving your instinct, to fight" As The Boss prepares to attack he suddenly feels a bloodlust behind him turning to see Emily because enraged, as she goes to attack Samuel tackles her and pins her to the ground "I got her Boss" He Says as he pulls her arms around and place a rune stone on wrists creating cuffs made of rune symbols "I'm using a Rune to resist his influence but it's only helping so much" He then slams Emily's head into the road due to the influence of The Alpha's Provoking ability "Sorry girl" He apologised as The Boss finally engaged The Alpha by swinging his axe downward only for The Alpha to block it with his arm "Should of used your Magic" He mocked as the arm he used to block the axe manifests a purple aura around it and then onto his other arm, he then quickly The Boss sending him into a wall knocking it down and quick charges back at The Alpha. The two clash back and forth, blocking and attacking in flurries that appear like orange red mixed with purple and black light as the sounds of metals clash. "Ahhhh, haha, if that's your best, you humans are shit fighters" The Alpha then grabs the haft of the War axe stopping The Boss's attacks causing him to look with surprised but still angry, he then push his axe up and then kicks The Boss hard in the chest sending him into the Truck and through its rear doors. Samuel seeing this is left in stunned seeing how overpowering The Alpha is "If the Boss can't even hold his own against this Possessed, what chances any of us have" He thought as he sees his brother drags himself off the damaged car he was thrown into "Oh thank god, he's alive" "Get the fuck off me Sam" Emily utters weakly as blood leaked down her face due to Samuel bashing her head against the ground, Samuel looks at her with shock and just as he gets off he is grabbed by the collar by the Alpha and thrown behind him landing on his back near his brother. "We ready, Tilly?" "Yes, our Alpha" Tilly tells him as she stretches her arms and a circle of purple energy around the group of Possessed, just as the Alpha enters the circle he stops and smirks as he senses someone staring at him in shock and horror. "Mmm, this saves time?" He then walks inside the circle and turns to see The Boss at the gate struggling to stand just before they disappear In a purple light "Fuck" The Boss screams in rage breaking the brick wall holding the gate and falling to his knees in defeat "That Alpha?" Suddenly he feels a presence behind him "Wait?" The Boss is then knocked onto his back and his assailant starts punching him hard knocking blood onto the ground "Why, why did they take Kane?" "Adrian stop, please" Mindy cried as Adrian eyes fill with tears and rage "I fucking don't know, but I'm not letting them get away with this"
