'Lucario, don't be surprised by the power in your body. It's temporary, lasting only about ten minutes. Until then, this power will be perfectly at your disposal. Now, listen to my command, and let's pull that guy out of the abyss.'
Aura Ash's voice resounded in Lucario's heart. Aura Ash felt no unfamiliarity with Lucario; rather, he was extremely familiar with him.
In every parallel world, besides the fixed best partner Pikachu, there was also an ace second only to Pikachu. In some worlds, it was Charizard; in others, Sceptile, or Infernape... In Aura Ash's world, it was Lucario.
Lucario, as his second ace after Pikachu, had been trained to the peak of the world. Even after multiple reincarnations, Pikachu's level was still a notch below Lucario's.
However, in a real fight, without Aura Ash's support, Pikachu would still be slightly stronger.
Pikachu's level was a bit weaker, but his ability values, after multiple reincarnations, were even more formidable.
But this time, facing Mewtwo, Aura Ash chose to use Riolu. On one hand, this world's Riolu had grown a bit slower compared to Ash's other main Pokémon.
On the other hand, he could teach Riolu more applications of Aura. These were techniques discovered through battle and had not been passed on to this world's Ash.
As Aura Ash's voice sounded, Lucario's mind quickly calmed down. Although he didn't know where this power came from, he unconditionally trusted his Trainer!
If his Trainer said it was fine, then it was fine!
Although he felt that his Trainer seemed to have changed in some way—his appearance and voice hadn't changed, but his personality and way of speaking had subtly shifted.
However, none of that mattered. The most important thing now was to deal with the battle at hand!
Ash said he wanted to save the Pokémon named Mewtwo from the abyss. He didn't know how exactly, but Lucario was very clear on one thing: he had to defeat the opponent first!
Only the victor had the right to talk about saving or not saving.
"It seems you do have some tricks, but to think you can defeat Mewtwo with this level, that's a fool's dream! Mewtwo, Psychic!" Giovanni saw that Ash didn't reply, so he stopped talking to Ash and directly commanded Mewtwo to attack.
Mewtwo, encased in machinery, raised her palm, aimed at Lucario, and a powerful Psychic energy erupted from her. Though an invisible energy, it gave off a clear sense of oppression.
Lorelei and Agatha, watching the footage, became extremely solemn the moment Mewtwo made her move. Earlier, wrapped in Hardened Plants, they weren't sure of Mewtwo's exact strength, but now they could see it clearly—Champion level!
And not just an ordinary Champion. This single Psychic attack was enough to make Superior-level Champion Pokémon feel extremely troublesome!
Was this the artificial Pokémon Blaine spoke of?
Her strength was indeed terrifying. If she could be mass-produced, then Team Rockets would be unstoppable.
But this Pokémon was, after all, only one creation. This level alone wouldn't allow Team Rockets to overturn the League, nor would it make Blaine afraid. Did Giovanni still have a trick up his sleeve?
On the field, facing the incoming Psychic, Lucario neither dodged nor evaded. The next instant, Psychic enveloped Lucario, a light blue glow completely binding him and suddenly tightening. Powerful Psychic energy began to corrode Lucario's body.
Ash watched Lucario being hit by Psychic, silently, without giving any commands.
Giovanni's brow furrowed slightly, feeling something was amiss. Although the evolved Lucario had gained the Steel type and wasn't particularly afraid of Psychic, Mewtwo's power was evident. A powerful move like Psychic, even if this Lucario was Champion-level, should still inflict considerable damage. Why didn't he dodge?
Several more seconds passed. Lucario, continuously corroded by Psychic, showed no sign of pain on his face; instead, he appeared exceptionally calm, as if he hadn't taken any damage.
"Break free," Ash's calm voice sounded. Hearing this, Lucario's body trembled, and the blue light covering him let out a muffled thud!
"Bang!"
The shattered light dispersed in the air. Mewtwo grunted and staggered back several steps. Her face, hidden by the helmet, was unclear, but it was certain that she was in a state of extreme shock.
This was evident from the rise and fall of her body and her slightly trembling arms.
Indeed, since her birth, she had almost been synonymous with invincibility. When had she ever been so casually broken free from, even after unleashing most of her full power, as if it were as easy as eating and drinking?
Besides Mewtwo, Giovanni was the most shocked. He knew how strong Mewtwo's power was. A small Lucario, without using any moves, simply by trembling his body, broke free from Mewtwo's Psychic!
How was this possible?!!!
Had this Lucario already reached Champion peak? Damn it, a Pokémon that was at most Superior mid-to-high level suddenly became Champion peak-tier. Even if you were Arceus reincarnated, you couldn't cheat like this!
Could his body withstand it? Where did such terrifying energy come from? And could he skillfully apply the power he gained?
All sorts of questions constantly arose in Giovanni's mind. If he weren't completely opposed to Ash right now, he would have sought Ash out for a clear and thorough explanation!
How was this kind of thing, which defied human common sense and completely surpassed science, achieved?!!
"Giovanni, if you don't let Mewtwo unleash her full power, I'm going to win this battle. This is your last chance." Aura Ash's words instantly put immense pressure on Giovanni.
Mewtwo's power was still suppressed, and it was only natural that Ash could see this. But the problem lay in Ash's words.
This was a life-or-death battle concerning the world's structure. Even if Giovanni was only facing Ash, a Trainer who had debuted three months ago, he mercilessly used Mewtwo, relying on Mewtwo's power to achieve absolute dominance.
Yet Ash looked relaxed and carefree, seemingly not caring about the outcome of this battle at all.
He even leisurely suggested that Giovanni remove Mewtwo's restrictions and unleash her full power.
How could he not know how strong Mewtwo was? As long as Mewtwo's full power could be unleashed, this Lucario, even at Champion peak, would be nothing but a mere trifle.
Quasi-God-Domain also had the word 'God' in it!
It was not on the same level as Champion peak at all. A Champion peak Pokémon would not even have the strength to raise a hand against a Quasi-God-Domain one.
Right now, let alone unleashing her full power, Giovanni had actually only allowed Mewtwo to unleash about Champion-initial level power. Even so, her power was enough to give Superior-level Champion Pokémon a headache!
If he could unleash her full power and end the battle quickly, why wouldn't Giovanni want to?
But the problem was, once the machinery was completely removed, even Giovanni wasn't sure if he could fully control Mewtwo, because he wasn't Mewtwo's Trainer. Without mechanical restraints, he couldn't forcibly control Mewtwo.
If Mewtwo rebelled the moment her shackles were removed, it would truly be a case of trying to gain a small advantage but suffering a big loss.
"No choice, I'll try unleashing another stage..." Giovanni took a deep breath and murmured.
Then he pulled out a remote control from his pocket and pressed a button. One-third of the machinery that firmly enveloped Mewtwo dropped off. Instantly, the Aura erupting from Mewtwo became even more formidable!
"Still haven't unleashed all your power? It seems even you are afraid, afraid of Mewtwo." Aura Ash sneered with a cold smile.
"I'm afraid? What a joke. I'm just afraid you'll despair directly after seeing Mewtwo's true power. That would be no fun." Giovanni certainly wouldn't admit that he would fear a Pokémon he had ordered to create.
On the field, after Mewtwo's second layer of restraint was removed, she rotated her body, a sense of ease washing over her. Since donning this machinery, she hadn't felt this relaxed in a long time.
In fact, Giovanni's worries were quite superfluous. She had never had any thoughts of leaving or defecting, because Team Rockets created her, and so she wanted to find her meaning of existence within Team Rockets.
But all this time, apart from helping Team Rockets destroy one or two small islands, she had spent the rest of her time in Gyms, living a boring life of crushing weaker opponents.
She truly didn't know what the meaning of doing this was, and she still hadn't found her meaning of existence.
All battles were meaningless, merely following Giovanni's words and fulfilling what he wanted to achieve.
Perhaps life would have continued uneventfully until today, when she met Ash.
Initially, the Venusaur Ash sent out was no different from the weaklings she had faced before. Giovanni had adjusted the machinery on her body to its maximum, allowing her to use about one-tenth of her power.
She could have dealt with that Venusaur with just a flick of her hand, but in reality, she not only failed to defeat Venusaur with a flick of her hand but was even injured by Venusaur.
The difference between them was like heaven and earth. For her to be injured by the opponent in such a situation was absolutely incredible for Mewtwo.
Furthermore, there were two powers within Ash that gave her a strange sense of resonance, so she began to grow curious about Ash.
Even so, she had no intention of betraying Giovanni. After all, Giovanni was the most special human she had ever met, and he had also said he would help her find her meaning of existence.
But now, Giovanni's hesitant actions had begun to make Mewtwo feel discontent.
She felt not a shred of trust from Giovanni. If this feeling wasn't too profound before, now it could only be said that there was no harm without comparison.
With Ash's presence, Giovanni's trust in Pokémon was highlighted as pure garbage, and his attitude towards Pokémon was like discarding a worn-out shoe.
One, after his Pokémon was severely injured, recalled it into its Poké Ball without a word of comfort and tossed it aside. The other, seeing his Pokémon's power about to run out, quickly recalled it to prevent it from suffering unnecessary harm.
Coupled with Giovanni's complete distrust of her now, Mewtwo was already deeply disappointed in Giovanni.
But she was now very interested in Ash and Lucario. Since her birth, she had never encountered such a powerful Pokémon. In the past, those Pokémon, let alone making her use her full power, she even had to control her power to be extremely minimal, to prevent killing them.
Yet Lucario gave Mewtwo a feeling that even if she truly unleashed all her power, she might not be Lucario's opponent!
This feeling of meeting a worthy opponent made Mewtwo's usually calm heart begin to stir. She didn't know what this feeling was, only that she greatly enjoyed her current mood!
So this battle was not for Giovanni, but for herself. She would do her utmost to achieve victory!
As the power shackles were released, an even more terrifying Psychic erupted from Mewtwo. Even a Champion peak Pokémon would probably only be able to resist by facing a wall.
Mewtwo raised her palm, and her three spherical fingers suddenly tightened—Psychic!
A Psychic power even stronger than before attached itself to Lucario's body.
"Creak, creak" sounds emanated from Lucario, seemingly the sound of bones being compressed. However, before Misty and the others could grow anxious, Lucario clenched his fists and let out a roar.
"Awoo!"
The deafening sound, carrying unparalleled momentum, completely broke through the restraints on Lucario's body!
This was also the first time Giovanni and Mewtwo saw Lucario unleash his full power. Unlike merely a body tremor earlier, the power erupting from Lucario this time made both the human and the Pokémon change color!
This power was both familiar and strange to them, because it was the realm that Mewtwo had been constantly striving for since birth but always fell short of by a hair's breadth—God-Domain level!
No wonder Lucario didn't need any power, and could directly shatter the restraints imposed by Mewtwo just by his Aura. It turned out he had already reached that realm!
But... what the hell kind of joke was this?! This was Lucario, who had just evolved right in front of them!
Just evolved, his body hadn't even adapted yet, and he was already God-Domain level? Screw you, you can't cheat like this!
After breaking free from Mewtwo's restraints, Lucario's sharp gaze fixed on Mewtwo. The next second, he appeared directly in front of Mewtwo, clenched his fist, bent down, and punched!
"Bang!"
