Joshua shook his head. "I'm fine."
The sudden rush of memories left him with a faint headache and a heaviness in his chest. But ever since that day, he had already decided to cast those ugly memories aside. He looked at Henry before him—the man hadn't taken his eyes off him for even a second, as if Joshua might disappear the moment he blinked.
Joshua couldn't help smiling. "Have I been asleep for a long time?"
Henry replied softly, "Two months."
Joshua froze for a moment, then immediately sat up, excitement lighting his face. "Then the world out there must have changed a lot! Where is this? Is this our home?"
Henry didn't answer. He only wrapped his arms around Joshua, burying his face almost against Joshua's stomach.
Joshua stiffened, then lifted a hand to gently pat Henry's head, smiling. "It's alright now, Henry."
Joshua's awakening marked his new role as Eden City's primary doctor.
Even though he had no advanced medical training, his ability itself was the answer.
