Centered on the continuous blue beam of light, within a ten-kilometer radius, the New York battle raged. The urban area was now devoid of human life. In the streets and alleys, on the ground and in the sky, gun-wielding alien robots and crawling alien machines were everywhere.
And that wasn't all.
A super-giant, centipede-like alien warship, nearly a hundred meters long, its shell shimmering with a cold metallic luster, was flying at a low altitude, less than fifty meters above the city streets.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The alien warship accelerated, smashing through the buildings that blocked its path, crushing the tall skyscrapers into pieces and covering half the street in gravel and dust.
SCREEECH!
The giant alien battleship, as if it had a life of its own, continued to accelerate toward the outer city, intent on crushing the entire street into ruins.
"Can anyone get rid of that big guy?" Iron Man, suspended in mid-air, was struggling to cope with the small, locust-like flight machines that swarmed around him.
None of the other superheroes could respond. The battle at the center of the invasion had entered a white-hot stage, and everyone was locked in a difficult struggle with the enemy. Even the Hulk had no spare power.
Iron Man sighed, and could only watch as the giant alien warship headed away from the city.
Then, a scene that shocked him to his core appeared.
The warship, which had not yet left the inner battle zone, was suddenly split in two.
That's right, broken in two! For a moment, Iron Man suspected that he was seeing things.
The entire 100-meter-long alien battleship had been cut off by some kind of force, without any warning. The cut in the middle was extremely flat, and even the extraterrestrial machinery units inside the battleship had been cut in half without any precaution or anticipation.
BANG!
The two halves of the alien battleship crashed into the street below, the earth trembling slightly.
Under the bright sunshine, a tiny metal web appeared in the sky above the wreckage.
More than one. At the intersection of the street alone, there were more than a dozen webs, densely and horizontally hanging over the street.
SLICE! SLICE! SLICE!
The alien robots driving the small flight devices that approached were instantly chipped into pieces of debris by the metal webs, their forward inertia sending them crashing to the ground.
A silver metal figure with a spider pattern stood on one of the metal webs.
Magneto Spider Leo had arrived.
He wasn't in a hurry to take back the metal webs. Instead, he continued to spin them, centering them on his own body and extending them radially for hundreds, even thousands, of meters. The webs intertwined one by one into a net, and soon, they quietly covered a small half of the city.
He pinched countless webs in his left hand, closed his eyes, and extended his Spider-Sense through them.
Ten meters, a hundred meters, a kilometer.
Everything within a kilometer of the webs was now exposed to his Spider-Sense, especially the metallic alien existences.
"Goodbye," he whispered. He shook the metal webs in his hand, and a green magnetic force surged along the countless strands.
It was like a grand trial.
CRACK!
Within the urban area covered by the webs, alien machines were destroyed and disordered by the overflowing magnetic force, and fell to the ground without function. At that moment, more than a hundred alien machines died.
With a wave of his hand, he snapped off and took back the countless metal webs.
Controlling metal was one of the strongest derivative abilities of magnetic force. And with the two extraordinary abilities of controlling magnetism and super spiders at the same time, his ability to control metal was pushed to another level. Even Lorna, who possessed extraordinary magnetic ability, could not produce metal from nothing, and could only manipulate existing metal objects. But under the strengthening of his spider genes, he could metalize his own webs. In other words, he could produce metal out of thin air. And with his Spider-Sense, his control of the metal was more exquisite and perfect.
"I've almost figured out my abilities," he said, and raised his icy blue eyes. He flipped his right wrist, and a metal web with its own magnetic force shot out, rushing forward into the central battle zone of the city.
The metal web, with the efficiency of magnetic levitation, traveled for several miles until it was nailed to the headquarters building of Stark Industries. At the same time, his Spider-Sense spread outward along the web like static electricity.
"Found her," he said. He pulled on the web, and his entire body, covered in the metal Spider battlesuit, flew forward like a silver lightning.
In an office building not far from the Stark Industries headquarters, on the twelfth floor, the Spider-Woman was panting for breath. She had just knocked out two alien mechanical bodies, but more were swarming in from the severely damaged windows.
Though these alien machines were not that powerful, they were crazy and not afraid of death. They were like weapons born only for combat and killing. And there were so many of them. No matter how many she eliminated, the number never seemed to decrease, but only grew.
If this continued, she would be consumed here in vain.
As she was thinking this, the alien mechanical bodies that were drilling inside suddenly stopped. Smooth cracks appeared on their necks, bodies, or limbs.
More than a dozen alien mechanical bodies were cut into dozens of pieces, the remains of their parts scattered all over the place.
"That's… a web?" she said, her eyes widening.
A single alien robot that had crawled in escaped for a moment. It looked at its companions, who had been shattered into pieces, and its metal teeth immediately began to chatter.
It was scared. The extraterrestrial machinery was scared of the unknown powerful existence outside.
The Spider-Woman didn't feel flustered, but showed a look of surprise. Under her Spider-Sense, she already knew who had come.
