Chapter 5: Wang Dong'er
After finishing my cleaning, I headed to the cafeteria for a quick snack.
Each grade had its own cafeteria, located behind the dormitory area. When I arrived at the first-year cafeteria, it was nearly empty. There wasn't even a single table or chair… the place was completely bare, except for a sink on one side for washing hands and dishes.
Inside, I saw windows for ordering food, each with its own price. There were eight windows, each offering a different menu, with prices gradually increasing from right to left.
Could it be that we were supposed to eat in the cafeteria without any place to sit? A sign at the entrance even clearly warned against taking food outside.
I couldn't hide my amazement at the peculiar ways of Shrek Academy. It seemed that Flender's spiritual legacy had remained unchanged for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
After getting over my surprise, I went to the most expensive window and bought two plates of Spirit Beast meat with vegetables. I ate quickly and then left the cafeteria.
When I arrived, there was someone waiting for me inside.
Wang Dong'er said coldly, folding her arms across her chest:
"You're in this dorm too. And since you seem relatively clean, I've grudgingly allowed you to live with me. But there are rules you must follow carefully. First, you may not bring anyone into the dorm arbitrarily. Second, you may not roam around naked and disturb others. Third, no snoring at night. Fourth, do not bother me. Fifth, cleaning the dorm is your responsibility, but do not touch my bed. Understood?"
Her tone was sharp, but when she noticed my neatly arranged clothes reflecting my meticulous personality, I saw her harshness soften slightly.
I raised my head and replied calmly:"I'm sorry, I cannot accept your demands… and I don't like your attitude in the first place."
Even if I had some feelings for her, I would never be a pet dog like Huo Yuhao. My position and status did not allow me to submit.
She stared at me in shock, then roared angrily:"Huh? How dare you refuse me? Then you'll probably vanish from Shrek Academy. It seems you're dissatisfied with me, and if you don't submit willingly… I will force you to!"
She shoved me outside and pointed at the open courtyard in front of the dorm, determined to make me submit by force.
I smiled coldly and said,"Strike first, or you won't get any chance at all."
Thanks to the experience, skills, and techniques I had acquired from Kenshiro, Rei, and Itachi Uchiha, she was no match for me… in my current state, no one below the level of a Spirit King could touch me.
At that moment, Wang Dong'er shouted in frustration, her chest swelling with anger:"Arrogant! It seems I, Wang Dong'er, must teach you a lesson!"
She never imagined that a new student would dare to be more arrogant than her. As a great Spirit Master, she was undoubtedly one of the best of the new students… yet she never considered that someone could surpass her.
At that moment, a pair of blue butterfly wings sprouted from Wang Dong'er's back. The tips of the wings transitioned from deep blue to sky blue, then to pale blue, like a celestial palette breathing life. The surface of the wings resembled a glowing V-shaped aura merging with the sky, scattering light across the world around her. Their shape and color were of unparalleled beauty… pure beauty without flaw.
Beneath Wang Dong'er's body, two Spirit Rings—one yellow, one purple—flashed, rising in a majestic aura.
Wang Dong'er's Spirit stunned everyone, as the two Spirit Rings—yellow and purple—announced her identity.
It was the Light Butterfly, a first-rank Spirit of the Light type, described as the most beautiful Spirit on the entire continent!
At that moment, Wang Dong'er lifted her chin arrogantly and said:
"Your cultivation level is not on par with mine, is it? If you wish to surrender, you still have time!"
If she hadn't been slightly annoyed, she wouldn't have unleashed her Spirit so quickly. But she knew her own strength well… in this tier, no one could rival her.
What a coincidence! I truly am beneath you… I smiled, lips curling upward as I stared at the Light Butterfly Spirit behind Wang Dong'er.
That Spirit… was truly beautiful!
It had a long, intricate form, rich with detail… It was a shame that Wang Dong'er was dressed in men's clothing now, or the sense of awe would have completely overwhelmed me!
I noticed how Wang Dong'er's chest seemed slightly fuller after releasing the Light Butterfly Spirit, and her face appeared even more captivating. Even in men's attire, I couldn't ignore the clear curves of a young woman's body before my eyes.
Wang Dong'er said,
"What is your Spirit? Then you should have surrendered earlier. The Light Butterfly is the most advanced of the Light types… Admit your defeat, and I will save you."
Despite her pride, Wang Dong'er also seemed gentle. She couldn't fully control her power yet and feared harming me in combat.
"What if my Spirit is stronger than yours?" I raised my eyebrows, ready to challenge her.
"Hah… Are you still pretending? There is no Spirit in this world stronger than the Light Butterfly." Wang Dong'er said with disdain.
"Then let's make a bet. If I'm weaker than you, I will be your younger brother from now on. And if you lose, you will be my younger brother, and you must follow my orders." I continued confidently.
As long as Wang Dong'er agreed to this condition, I would be able to…
"Certainly! If I lose, I will do whatever you wish." Wang Dong'er agreed without hesitation, eager to see my admission of defeat.
Seeing her agreement, I unleashed my Spirit.
(Third-person POV)
At first, his pupils looked normal, but then something strange happened.
Slowly, his pupils dilated under an intense internal pressure, and the deep black gradually vanished, revealing a burning crimson red within the eye.
A swirl of darkness formed around the pupil, then transformed into a sharp circle.
As the glow intensified, the redness became brighter, as if light itself radiated from within, like a burning ember in the dark.
A black crescent split from the first tomoe, orbiting the pupil like a dark planet in a bloody trajectory.
Then the second and third tomoe appeared, each radiating a terrifying aura, while fine black rings and triadic tracking lines gradually settled around the pupil.
When the transformation was complete, his eye was entirely crimson, the pupil gleaming like a blade, and the three black rings gave it a metaphysical, terrifying appearance.
Anyone who looked directly into that eye would feel as if it saw everything around them, surpassing the limits of human vision.
It was no longer merely a human eye… it had become a blazing crimson mirror, reflecting every movement of an opponent, every breath, every thread of time.
The Sharingan… the eye of demons and geniuses, the eternal Uchiha curse awakened within him.
At that moment, Wang Dong'er froze. Her confident smile vanished, replaced by subtle shock and fear. Every movement she made, every thought she had, was anticipated by that eye before it even acted.
A heavy silence filled the space, and his calm smile alone was enough to inspire awe. The balance of power between them had shifted abruptly, turning the challenge Wang Dong'er had accepted into a true test, facing a force beyond the comprehension of the human mind.
