Shinji had said to befriend Kurama but achieving that goal was, to put it mildly, too difficult.
In the original story, Naruto, from childhood, always treated everyone he met with sincerity. This gradually led Kurama to truly acknowledge Naruto.
After all, even knowing his parents died protecting Konoha, Naruto was still willing to risk his life to protect Konoha.
Honestly, after being with such a person for a long time, even if you don't understand his actions, you will still admire him.
"But, sensei, what should I do?" Although Naruto thought it might be feasible, he had no idea where to start.
After all, if he were to talk about friends, besides Shikamaru and a few others, he hardly had any friends.
Shinji said with a light chuckle, "You don't need to do anything."
"Huh?" Naruto was momentarily confused, looking up blankly at Shinji.
Shinji said, slowly pointing to Naruto's chest, "Naruto, the core of friendship, or rather, companionship, is mutual equality and understanding."
"If you have nothing to do, communicate well with 'him' inside you, explore 'his' past, and only then will you understand how to get along with 'him'."
"No one can help you with this, it can only be you yourself."
Hearing these words, Naruto gradually broke into a smile. He didn't know how to explain it, but even though it was the first time he'd heard Shinji's words, he inexplicably felt that this was the best option.
Inside the sealed space, Kurama bared its fangs, its tails wildly thrashing behind it.
"That damn brat!"
"I will not communicate with that damn brat! No! Forget communication, I'll make sure he can't even get in here!"
"Is that so?"
A calm voice interrupted the furious Kurama.
"Who!"
The sudden voice agitated Kurama, and the entire sealed space was instantly filled with its Chakra.
Inside the sealed space, Shinji looked around. He ignored the puddles, or rather, the Chakra-formed puddles, rippling on the ground due to Kurama's Chakra.
Last time he came in, he was busy absorbing Kurama's Chakra, so he didn't have time to properly look around. Now, looking at it, it's no wonder Kurama held such resentment.
Minato was not only a genius at naming, but his aesthetic sense was also quite something.
"It's you, brat!" Kurama finally noticed Shinji standing in front of the cage, its huge eyes filled with hatred.
"Heh heh, I didn't expect a human to be able to get in. Brat, take a few more steps forward."
Shinji tilted his head, carefully observing Kurama.
He chuckled, "Hello, Kurama!"
Kurama, who was planning to trick Shinji into coming closer to deal with him, instantly constricted its pupils.
Bang!
"Brat! Who exactly are you?! How do you know that name?!"
Kurama's claw slammed heavily against the bars of the cage, its massive fox face pressed against them, looking down at Shinji and roaring loudly.
"Me? You can call me Shinji, Naruto's master."
Shinji said, taking a few more steps forward to stand before Kurama's giant claw, which extended from the bars.
"But, Kurama, could you please calm down and listen to me for a few moments?"
Silence.
Inside the sealed space, Kurama's Chakra rampage ceased. It looked at the person before it.
After a long pause, Kurama slowly spoke, its voice cold, "Speak."
"However, I'm curious as to how you, a human, were able to enter."
Shinji's lips curved into a smile. This was him probing his depths.
With this, who would dare say that Tailed Beasts are just violent Chakra conglomerates?
"Me? Of course, I just came in like this."
As Shinji's words fell, the Yin and Yang Chakra within his body emanated. This was the reason he could enter this place.
By combining Yin Release with genjutsu, he could create a spiritual mirror image projection. Then, maintaining this projection with Yang Chakra made it possible. This was another application of Yin and Yang Release that he had developed after obtaining the basic Yin and Yang Release scrolls.
Kurama could awaken at any time, so Shinji naturally had to make some preparations for Naruto.
"Heh heh, I didn't think anyone in the current world could use Yin and Yang Release to this extent."
Even Kurama, seeing the Yin and Yang Chakra emanating from Shinji, couldn't help but exclaim.
After all, it had been a long time since it had seen a human capable of such a feat.
"Thank you for the compliment, but Kurama, I only came in to have a good talk with you."
Shinji said, sitting down on the ground, propping his chin up, and looking up at Kurama.
"Talk? For the brat in this body?"
After seeing Shinji's Yin and Yang Release, Kurama abandoned its original intentions. After all, it wouldn't succeed. If there weren't a sealed space, it might have been able to manipulate things. But Minato's jutsu was just that overbearing. It was as if he had applied the Uzumaki clan's Fuinjutsu to its peak here.
Shinji said with a light chuckle, "Yes, Naruto, like you, was forced to endure all of this, not of his own free will. So, I thought perhaps you two could try to get along."
Although he had told Naruto to try to understand Kurama, if he didn't first be honest with Kurama, Naruto would probably have a lot of trouble later on just to barely achieve it.
"What a joke! Minato sealed me in here and now you want me to get along with his son!"
"Who do you think I am!"
If it weren't for the cage's confinement, Kurama would want to bite this presumptuous person to shreds right now.
Shinji completely disregarded Kurama's naked malice, instead asking, "I wonder, Kurama, if you still remember that prophecy."
"Prophecy?" Kurama was startled by these words, and distant memories flooded back.
"The prophecy of Mount Myōboku's Gamamaru, the blue-eyed boy who calls the names of the nine beasts and plays with them."
Shinji said this with a relaxed expression, helping Kurama recall this memory.
"So what? Who exactly are you? How do you know this prophecy?"
Kurama now wished it could grab Shinji and pull him closer to its eyes, to get a good look at who this human really was.
"I told you, I am just Naruto's master. To prevent your unleashed Chakra from affecting Naruto's growth, could you consider my suggestion and try to get along with Naruto?"
"Heh heh heh... so what if I do? Why should I listen to you and do such a boring thing?"
Kurama scoffed at Shinji's words. Without verification, it wouldn't easily trust a human.
"It's not about listening to me, but about not treating Naruto with the resentment you hold for those who hurt you. Communicate with Naruto in your own way. That's all I wanted to say."
Shinji shook his head, refuting Kurama's statement, as he didn't have the ability to make Kurama listen to him but the Sage of Six Paths did.
