Concubine Peng did not cry after that. In her drunkard state she stare at the moon. She keep drinking till Bing Ming comes to carry her back to her room. She curl up to him as he walks away with her in his arms. Song Ning watch them and try to recall if anyone ever carry her this way. She feels a sense of jealousy and think of the times she have with Nan Feng. The most they did was to hold hands and nothing more than that. She sigh and think that maybe romance is out for her this life time. She is too busy with taking care of her little brother. The night ends with The Third Prince appearing. He order the maid to help consort Ling back to her room. He slowly scoop up Song Ning and carry her. In her confusing state of mind she look at the man who is carry her. She reach out to touch his long nose. It feels real and bony. She give it a pinch and he open his mouth to breath. She let go off his nose and circle her arms around his shoulder and lay on him. She hear the beating of his heart. It sounds like a nice melody.
From a distance, Song Qin look at his sister being carry off. He doesn't know if it is the correct thing to allow another man so casually carry her off. He knows that his sister did said that she did not have any feelings for The Third Prince. However feelings can be develop. He take another sip on the alcohol and watch them disappear behind the corner. He mumble to himself that if the prince marry his sister maybe he have less worries. After all the prince have the means to take care of anyone. Unlike him who is still growing up and still attending school.
Staring this year, he stop writing to the eldest sister. Since she doesn't want to deal with anything about them, it is best for him to stop writing. After all, only second sister is the one taking care of everything they are doing right now. He doesn't know why the eldest sister choose to be so heartless to them but he knows that she is well taken care of, Thus there is nothing for him to do for her. So he decided to let her be and he will take care of himself and second sister.
