The mission details are written on that piece of paper.
And the function of this phone is simply for Zhang Jie to contact someone after completing the mission and arriving in South Norwalk.
If it had any purpose, it would probably be for tracking.
But it didn't matter; Zhang Jie tucked the phone into his pocket and headed straight for the Danbury train station. The security at American train stations isn't strict, or rather, it's completely different from real-world security; security in the assassin world is practically just for show.
After buying a ticket and boarding the train, Zhang Jie began searching the carriage.
Because Zhang Jie hadn't worn his bulletproof suit this time, but having some financial surplus, he also bought a bulletproof vest and bulletproof leg guards.
The bulletproof vest worn on top can protect his chest and abdomen's main areas from gunshot wounds, and the protection level reached III. The bulletproof leg guards were similar, only they were worn under loose pants and were not easily noticeable.
This was also the first time Zhang Jie had made some improvements to his life after accumulating savings; always wearing a bulletproof suit could be very conspicuous at times.
In fact, ever since the European mission, after bringing John back from Europe flawlessly, John's style had also undergone some changes.
Perhaps influenced by Zhang Jie, John also had a bit of a sneaky potential.
But Zhang Jie and Veronica both thought this was a good thing, after all, bulletproof suits were indeed too eye-catching; you'd be spotted immediately wherever you went.
So, John spent a fortune to have two custom-made bulletproof vests and bulletproof armor for himself. When Zhang Jie found out that John had spent nearly 150,000 usd plus 10 gold coins for this, he cursed him as a spendthrift.
Well, he was just jealous.
However, when he learned that John had also ordered a set for him, he immediately smiled and said to his teacher, "Master, you're so handsome."
Which earned him a pair of eye-rolls.
To be honest, John still hadn't gotten used to Zhang Jie's erratic personality.
Compared to Ling Feng's calmness and silence, Zhang Jie was simply the other extreme.
But one thing that has to be said is that Zhang Jie's mind sometimes turns really fast; although he has some sneaky behaviors, it's undeniable that Zhang Jie's practicality-first approach is indeed very effective.
Hidden under a hoodie and sweatpants, Zhang Jie looked like an ordinary passenger, slowly searching the carriages towards the back.
Fortunately, there weren't many passengers on the train, which also reduced the difficulty considerably.
Starting from the first carriage, Zhang Jie moved to the second, still finding nothing. In the third carriage, he still didn't find anything strange; where exactly was that so-called silver briefcase?
When Zhang Jie arrived at the fourth carriage, he finally saw the silver briefcase among a pile of miscellaneous items. So, he looked around, confirmed that no one had noticed him, and immediately rushed forward to pick up the box, then walked towards the fifth carriage.
As Zhang Jie walked into the fifth carriage, two men, a fat and a thin Black brother, also came from the third carriage to the fourth, and they were also searching everywhere.
But they kept finding nothing.
When Zhang Jie arrived at the fifth carriage, he casually took a traveler's clothes that were placed on an armrest, sat in an empty spot near the fifth carriage, and covered the silver briefcase with the clothes.
This box was locked with a combination lock, and he couldn't open it anyway, so a proper disguise could save him a lot of unnecessary trouble.
Soon, the two Black brothers, one fat and one thin, after searching the fourth carriage in vain, walked towards the fifth carriage. Zhang Jie saw them from a distance.
"These two should be assassins too, right?"
However, the two of them clearly didn't notice the briefcase covered by clothes and simply proceeded to the sixth carriage.
Just as Zhang Jie was about to breathe a sigh of relief, a man sat in front of him. This was a Black man with a full beard.
He directly plunged a dagger into the table in front of Zhang Jie, saying, "Kid, I saw you get that box. Hand it over, or your hand will say goodbye to you forever."
Zhang Jie subconsciously glanced at the carriage, found no one was paying attention, then looked at the bearded Black man, and then at the dagger he had plunged into the table.
He immediately kicked out directly at the man's knee.
The man instantly cried out in pain and tried to pull out the dagger, but Zhang Jie was faster. He raised his left hand and slapped the man's hand hard.
Then he directly pulled out the dagger with his right hand, stood up, leaned forward sharply, and with a push of his right hand, the dagger was forcefully plunged into his throat.
An intense feeling of suffocation instantly filled his brain, and he subconsciously tried to reach out and pull out the dagger.
But Zhang Jie immediately stepped beside him, pressed his left hand on the dagger's handle, and with his right hand, he slammed his left hand hard inwards, embedding the dagger deep into his spine.
Then Zhang Jie took off the man's jacket, wrapped it directly around his neck, and whispered in his ear, "Relax, take a deep breath. Dizziness is normal, just sleep for a while and you'll be fine."
He propped the man's head against the innermost part of the seat, making it look like he was sleeping. Then Zhang Jie picked up the box from under the table and walked back towards the sixth carriage.
Just as he reached the aisle between the fifth and sixth carriages, he ran into a White man in a suit, who didn't look like someone to be trifled with.
When the White man saw Zhang Jie, he initially didn't show anything, but he subconsciously looked down and happened to see the not-so-well-wrapped silver briefcase.
In an instant, he directly raised his hand and elbowed Zhang Jie's chest, but Zhang Jie instinctively dodged sideways as soon as the man moved.
He had intended to let him pass, but by a strange twist of fate, he dodged that heart-thrusting elbow.
Zhang Jie also realized that the other party had seen through his identity, so he directly aimed his right hand at the opponent's eyes.
This White man had clearly learned martial arts; he immediately turned his hand into a blade and held it in front of his nose, blocking Zhang Jie's eye poke, then grinned and said, "Chinese Kung Fu!"
Unfortunately, his coolness lasted less than a second as Zhang Jie swung the box in his left hand, powerfully sweeping it towards the man's crotch.
"Ow! ! ! ! ! !"
The man's 'little brother' instantly suffered a heavy blow.
His two feet immediately turned inward, and the intense pain made him roll his eyes a bit.
But Zhang Jie's attack wasn't over. In the blink of an eye, he retracted his right hand that had been aiming for the eyes, then clenched his fist and slammed it hard into the man's throat.
Crunch!
A very crisp sound of bone breaking.
The man clutched his groin with one hand and his throat with the other, unable to make a sound.
Then, Zhang Jie swung the silver briefcase with his left hand and hit the man on the forehead.
As the man fell to the ground, he immediately used his knee to forcefully strike the back of the man's neck.
Thwack!
The man fell to the ground, motionless.
"High-quality sleep, you deserve it."
After casually arranging the man into a resting posture leaning against the side, Zhang Jie walked towards the sixth carriage.
