The café buzzed with chatter as Devin, Lucian, and Davon lingered behind after Elise, Anastasia, and Patricia excused themselves for a little "fresh air." The brothers barely had a moment before a group of girls swooped in like moths to flame.
"Davon, you were amazing earlier, saving that girl!" one squealed, leaning close enough to brush his arm.
Lucian chuckled politely as another girl slipped her hand around his sleeve.
Devin, stoic as ever, had three girls circling him, laughing at everything he didn't say.
Their angelic charm pulled every eye in the café, and soon whispers filled the room: The vampire cousins—no, the golden brothers…
Meanwhile, outside, Elise and her friends were returning from their little stroll. The laughter in their throats died when they stepped back in.
Anastasia froze. Patricia clenched her fists. Elise's jaw dropped.
The boys—their boys—were surrounded, practically drowning in a sea of giggles and flirty hands.
A spark of heat coiled in Elise's chest. Anastasia's cheeks flushed crimson, jealousy crackling in her violet eyes. Patricia's lips curved into a dangerous scowl.
Without hesitation, the three of them stormed over.
"Elise!" one of the girls trilled. "Oh, we were just keeping Davon company—"
But Elise grabbed Davon's wrist and tugged him firmly away, ignoring the protests. Anastasia latched onto Devin's arm with a glare so sharp it silenced the girl clinging to him. Patricia looped her hand through Lucian's, yanking him away with enough force to make his admirers stumble back.
The café fell into stunned silence.
The three brothers didn't resist. Didn't even utter a word. They simply allowed themselves to be pulled away, smirks tugging at their lips as if they'd been waiting for this all along.
The girls left behind fumed, jealousy burning in their eyes as whispers rose again—only this time about Elise, Anastasia, and Patricia.
By the time the door swung shut behind them, the three brothers exchanged knowing glances, while the girls huffed and flushed with possessive triumph.
Lucian leaned down to Patricia with a sly grin. "You jealous, by any chance?"
Patricia sputtered. "Shut up."
Devin's smirk widened when he caught Anastasia avoiding his gaze. Davon walked silently beside Elise, but the way her hand still clutched his wrist told him everything he needed to know.
For once, none of the brothers argued. They'd been claimed—and they didn't mind it one bit.
