The black wolf tore through the rogue like paper. Sera clutched Luna tighter, unable to look away as Darius ripped apart the wolf that had entered their home. His movements were brutal, efficient, frightening.
This wasn't the smooth politician who'd whispered sweet lies three years ago. This was a monster wearing her mate's skin. The rogue's body hit the ground with a painful thud.
Darius shifted mid-stride, his huge wolf form melting into the man she'd tried so hard to forget. Blood splattered his bare chest. His green eyes Luna's eyesblazed with rage as he stepped through the broken doorway.
"Sera." Just her name. Nothing else. But the way he said it made her knees weak.
"Get out." Her voice shook despite her best effort. "There are five more rogues outside—"
"I said GET OUT!" Darius flinched like she'd slapped him. Luna peeked around Sera's legs, looking at the stranger with wide, curious eyes.
