Manager Park went still.
"After the first photo," she added. "I called my mother. My father will know by now." She paused. "And if he is doing something about it, he will not necessarily tell me. He tends to handle things quietly."
Daehyun turned and looked at her.
"Handle things," he said.
"He usually has people around me when he thinks a situation needs it. Undercover. I do not always know they are there." She said it simply, the way you said something that was just true. "The first time he told me. After that he stopped mentioning it because I kept arguing with him about transparency."
Daehyun stared at her.
Then he looked at Manager Park.
Manager Park looked back at him with the expression of someone also processing this but better at keeping it off his face.
"Your father," Daehyun said slowly, "places undercover agents around you."
"When he thinks the situation calls for it."
"And he does this quietly."
"Generally yes."
