"The ladies," he said.
The room erupted.
Genuinely. Full room. The journalist laughed. The camera operators laughed. Someone in the back made a sound.
"I'm joking," Doyun added, grinning from ear to ear, completely unbothered. "Mostly."
Beside Soorin, Yura made a sound that was very much a laugh before she could stop it.
At the table, Minjae had covered his face with both hands. Jisoo was gone, fully dissolved, holding the edge of the table. Taekyung had turned and was looking at the ceiling in the way of a man asking something of a higher power. Haejin closed his eyes. Kept them closed for a full two seconds. Opened them and looked at the journalist with the expression of someone who had signed up for thirteen years of this and was absolutely completing his contract.
"Next question," he said.
"He's exactly how I imagined," Yura said, very quietly, beside Soorin.
"He's worse," Soorin said. "In the best way."
Yura looked at her.
"You're okay," Yura said. Not asking.
