Haejin nods. Takes a breath. "Okay. So. 'My Valentine Star.' I've been working on it for five days. You've all helped with translations and melodies. But I want to make sure... I want to make sure it's right."
He pulls out another notebook. This one specifically for lyrics. Opens to a page covered in English words and Korean translations and crossed-out phrases.
"The intro," he says. Reads aloud:
"Every February, when the snow begins to fall,
I search the crowds for eyes of blue, the brightest of them all.
She hides behind her canvas, paints the world in different light,
But I see through her disguise, my Valentine, my sight."
The room goes quiet.
"That's..." Minjae starts. "That's beautiful, hyung."
"You think so?"
"I know so. The 'eyes of blue' line—that's so specific to her. Anyone who knows her will know."
"That's the point," Haejin says. "I want it vague enough for privacy but specific enough that she knows. That it's hers."
