Dinner. Sera's last dinner with the group.
Everyone's gathered in the dining room. The atmosphere is tense. Awkward.
People are making conversation. But it's forced. Stilted.
Sera is being perfectly pleasant. Smiling. Engaging.
Acting like her interview didn't just throw shade at everyone.
Doyun is as far from her as possible. Again.
Jisoo is trying to keep conversation flowing. Bless him.
"So, Sera, what's your first stop when you get back? Home or straight to work?"
"Probably home. I miss my bed." She laughs. Light. Easy. "Resort beds are nice but nothing beats your own, right?"
"Totally," Jisoo agrees.
Minjae adds, "Any projects lined up?"
"A few things. Some variety show appearances. Maybe a collaboration." She's vague. Noncommittal.
Haejin is quiet. Eating. Not engaging.
Taekyung is equally silent. Observing.
The meal continues. Awkward small talk. Forced pleasantries.
Then Sera's phone buzzes.
