The courtroom was packed again. Same energy. Same chaos. But different this time.
Today was sentencing.
Soorin sat in her usual spot. Daehyun beside her. Both exhausted from a week of media frenzy.
"How's he doing?" Daehyun whispered.
Soorin glanced at Haejin in the front row. He looked worse than last week. Like he hadn't slept at all.
"Bad."
"Has he talked to anyone?"
"The members say no. He's shutting down."
"Fuck."
"Yeah."
The judge entered. Everyone stood.
Jiwon was brought in. Orange prison uniform. But something was different about her today.
She was smiling.
Not the manic smile from before. Something colder. More calculated.
She sat at the defendant's table. Looked directly at Haejin.
And winked.
Soorin felt her blood run cold.
