Seoul Central District Court. Day six.
The courtroom was at maximum capacity. Standing room only. Press packed shoulder to shoulder. Every major outlet had cameras ready.
There had been no word from Truth Unveiled, all they could bank on was the court cases. Everyone wanted to get first hand scoop of the proceedings.
Closing arguments today.
Verdict next week.
Soorin sat in her usual spot. Daehyun beside her. The tension in the air was overwhelming.
"This is it," Daehyun whispered.
"Yeah."
Haejin sat in the front row. Face blank. Like he'd disconnected from reality just to survive.
The judge entered. Everyone stood.
"We'll begin with closing arguments. Prosecution, you may proceed."
The lead prosecutor stood. Woman in her fifties. Sharp suit. Sharper eyes.
She walked to the jury. Made eye contact with each one.
"Six weeks ago, Kim Mina and Choi Eunji were alive. They had families. Dreams. Futures. Today, they're dead. Murdered by the woman sitting at that table."
