Chris didn't understand how Leo would be better than the 6 progeny's but he decided to just put that aside and believe the blue haired girl.
Chris nodded once.
"In that case," he said, "there's no need for us to go over meditation again."
He turned back toward the board, tapping it lightly with his knuckle.
"I'll move on to the next item on the list."
Chris looked back at the class.
"Dungeons."
The word alone caused a subtle shift in the room.
"From this point onward," Chris continued, "dungeons will be a core part of your growth. They are where affinities are refined, instincts are sharpened, and weakness is punished."
"You are all aware," Chris continued, "that the Descent came with dungeons to prepare us for the day the protection is lost."
The room grew quiet.
"These dungeons are not optional," he said firmly. "They exist to bolster growth."
He paced slowly at the front of the class.
"Inside them, you will strengthen your bodies, yes, but power isn't the only reward."
Chris stopped.
"You'll gain treasures," he said. "Skills. Artifacts. Buffs and other bonuses that cannot be obtained anywhere else."
A low murmur rippled through the students.
"Everything you need to survive what's coming," Chris added, his voice lowering, "is hidden inside those dungeons."
Chris continued, pacing slowly in front of the class.
"Dungeons are classified according to the power level required to clear them," he explained. "This ensures that each of you faces challenges suited to your current abilities."
He raised a hand, gesturing toward the images displayed behind him.
"You can identify the type of dungeon by the color of its gates."
Leo leaned forward, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.
"The gates are more than just markers—they are portals. They grant you entrance into the dungeon itself, sealing off the outside world until you either succeed or fail."
Chris's gaze swept the room.
"Pay attention to the gates," he added. "They are your first warning of what lies ahead. Underestimating them could be fatal."
"Based on the records we currently have, the system ranks the gates from lowest to highest as follows: Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green."
He paused, letting the information sink in.
"These are the colors you'll encounter most often. They indicate the minimum power level needed to enter and survive the dungeon beyond."
"Beyond Green," Chris added, his tone dropping slightly, "we do not know if higher-ranked gates exist—or what they might hold. Records are incomplete, and any information past that point is speculative."
Leo thought about it. He felt that there is likely more to dungeons than their world knows. His conjecture was confirmed by a...
{ Yup, there are indeed gates beyond green. Your worlds scale is limited and yould only truly identify how expansive the multiverse is} Primo's voice sounded in Leo's head.
'Primo has a point there' Leo sighed 'it seems I have to make so with what I have now if we get to that bridge we'll cross it.'
{ No need to wait that long, when we get the time I'll sit you through the Power scaling of the multiverse and other common general knowledge you need to know. It will give you a well needed edge over the others}
Primo added to Leo's delight. His attention was drawn back to class when he heard Chris say...
"To clarify," he said, "the gate colors correspond to your rank. Pink gates are designed for Ranks F and E, red gates for D, orange gates for C, yellow gates for B, and green gates for A."
He let the words hang in the air for a moment.
"This ranking reflects the minimum strength and skill level required to enter and survive each dungeon type," he explained. "Attempting a gate above your rank is highly dangerous and strongly discouraged."
Leo shifted uncomfortably in his seat, realizing just how carefully he'd need to choose their dungeons.
Chris's gaze swept across the class.
"I hope you all understand how the levels the system shows translate to ranks," he asked.
Every student nodded in unison.
"Good," Chris said, a small smile tugging at his lips. "As a sort of meeting gift, I've arranged for us to go see a Pink Gate under the academy's jurisdiction."
A ripple of excitement ran through the students.
"Pack your things," Chris continued, his tone sharp and commanding. "Let's get moving."
