Chapter 10: Son Goku!
After a few days, Trunks and Goten were sparring in Super Saiyan mode, in a grassy plain.
"Goten, you've gotten stronger… have you been training?"
"Yes… I asked my brother Gohan to help me, I didn't want you to surpass me too much."
"Well, you need to train hard because I…"
Trunks was about to tell Goten that he had reached Super Saiyan 3, but he stopped before saying it.
He didn't want anyone to know he had achieved Super Saiyan 3, because if anyone found out, they might be suspicious. This was no longer just a terrifying talent.
Additionally, he wanted to keep SS3 as a trump card against Majin Buu in the future.
Also, if he mentioned that he had even surpassed Vegeta and reached Super Saiyan 3, it could affect Goten's determination.
Trunks didn't want Goten to be weak as in the original story.
Goten had talent that could surpass his father Goku and his brother Gohan.
However, Goten hadn't had enough opportunities to fight and grow stronger, because Vegeta, Goku, and the others always took on the dangers themselves.
"Anyway, Goten… I wanted to talk to you about something important."
Trunks returned to his normal form, as did Goten.
"What is it?"
Goten looked at Trunks curiously, who hesitated to speak.
"Goten… do you want to meet your father… Uncle Goku?"
"My father… of course, but how?"
Trunks felt strange; how could someone speak so calmly when being told they could meet their deceased father?
"Well, it's simple… but don't tell anyone."
Goten nodded at Trunks, and then Trunks explained to him what they were going to do.

The next day, Trunks and Goten stood before an old woman sitting on a massive floating crystal ball.
"So you want to go to the Other World for one day…"
The old woman said seriously, looking at Trunks and Goten with curiosity.
"Yes… I want to try to convince Uncle Goku to be resurrected using the Dragon Balls."
Hearing Trunks' words, the old woman glanced sideways at Goten, noticing the hope and happiness in his eyes at meeting his father. Naturally, she wasn't harsh enough to refuse the boy's request.
"Alright… but just one day."
"After that day, you'll be returned directly to this place."
Trunks and Goten nodded in understanding, then bowed as a gesture of thanks.

In the Other World, on King Kai's planet,
Son Goku was training while wearing very heavy weights, delivering punches and kicks at incredible speed.
Suddenly, he stopped and looked toward Snake Way, which seemed endless, with no beginning or end.
"King Kai, do you feel that ki?"
Goku asked after landing on King Kai's planet, looking at King Kai.
"Yes… although I feel this ki for the first time, it's very strong."
"And it seems there are two of them, not one…"
Goku smiled, clearly excited to meet someone strong to spar with.

After a while, Son Goku and King Kai were looking curiously at Trunks and Goten standing before them.
King Kai stared at Goten for a moment, then turned to Goku and exclaimed in shock:
"Goku, do you have a dwarf twin…?"
"Ah… do I have a twin?" Goku was also shocked, and the situation became funny for Trunks, especially when Goten shouted:
"Who are you calling a dwarf?!"
"Calm down, Goten… this is King Kai, one of your father's teachers."
"Really?"
"Yes… I think it's obvious, but the person who looks like you is your father."
"My father… Dad!" — Goten
"My father… wait, do I have another son besides Gohan?!"
"...."
Although he knew it might be hard for Goku to realize he had another son, Trunks felt that Goku was truly clueless.
I mean, you can see the resemblance, so why are you shocked?

Goten looked at Goku nervously, unsure what to say. Goku smiled at his son.

Seeing his close friend meet his father for the first time, Trunks felt happy, a smile creeping onto his face.
He gave them some time to spend with each other.
Then he noticed a brown monkey staring at him strangely.
Trunks followed the monkey's gaze and realized it was staring at his tail.
He remembered that after defeating Gohan some time ago, he had gained a stronger Saiyan lineage, and his tail began to grow slowly; after this period, his Saiyan tail had fully grown.
He initially thought of removing it to avoid the problems of turning into a giant ape during the full moon,
but later decided to keep it to achieve Super Saiyan 4 from Dragon Ball GT.
So he chose to keep it.
After all, even Super Saiyan 3 might not be enough to defeat Majin Buu.
"Then, Goku-san… what do you think about being resurrected using the Dragon Balls?"
Trunks looked seriously at Goku, who put Goten down, then looked at Trunks.
"So, you're Vegeta's son… I have to admit your talent has exceeded all my expectations."
"As for resurrecting me, I refuse… I prefer to continue training in the Other World."
Trunks looked at Goku, and their eyes met. He noticed that Goku had no intention of returning.

"Let's fight, and if I win, you will agree to resurrect me… you, King Kai, and all his pets."
Hearing Trunks' words, joy appeared on King Kai's face.

Goku stared silently for a moment, then smiled.
He wouldn't hesitate to fight Trunks.
Although he felt that Trunks had become arrogant because of his current strength, Goku intended to show him the true power of a Super Saiyan.
If Trunks could hear Goku's thoughts, he would have laughed to death.
It wasn't just that he had mastered Super Saiyan 2 perfectly, but also reached Super Saiyan 3.
