Amelia set the coffee down beside her and said gently, "Ms. Morgan, don't believe what she said. I don't really know her, but from what I just saw, she's clearly the type who loves to stir things up."
"Amelia, I want to be alone for a while. You can go," Sophia said.
She looked exhausted. She knew she should trust Lucas, yet Olivia's words kept replaying in her mind.
Amelia sighed quietly to herself. It was obvious—Ms. Morgan had been affected. Some things had to be figured out on one's own. No amount of reassurance from others would truly help.
"Ms. Morgan, I'll step out now. Call me if you need anything," she said.
As she closed the door, she wasn't sure if her eyes were playing tricks on her—but she clearly saw Sophia crush the report in her hand into a tight ball.
"Sophia… what are you really thinking? Is there really something you can't figure out? Olivia was obviously just trying to provoke you. You wouldn't fall for that so easily… would you?"
