He smiled arrogantly at Daichi, "I have not come for you, so you can piss off."
"I see your foul tone hasn't changed one bit. Be careful, it may lead you to trouble," Daichi replied
Raiden snorted; he removed his gaze from Daichi and turned to Kurogami, who was by his side.
"Here, Daichi play thing, come with me real quick, I want to talk to you," Raidan said, not even waiting for an answer. He turned around, expecting Kurogami to follow.
" You haven't changed one bit, still Riku Arrand dog," Daichi laughed.
Raiden turned back, angry. He looked at Daichi, "Do you want to lose another arm?"
Daichi's expression turned cold as his eyes "Are you capable of doing that?"
The air around them got heavy, and their Khaos energy clashed with each other. Raiden Khaos was yellow in color, while Daichi Khaos' energy was blue. The nobles around Raiden got a handle on the energy; some of them had legs that trembled and struggled to breathe properly.
Raiden gazed at Kurogami, who was unfazed, "Daichi must have been protecting him." Raiden thought as he walked closer to Kurogami, Daichi not even intervening one bit. He placed his right hand on Kurogami's shoulder, grabbing it tightly. "I said you should come with me."
Raiden tried dragging Kurogami with him, but couldn't; "impossible," his face showed signs of shock. Raiden from the Stormfang clan was known as the strongest in raw strength among the young six heirs. At a young age, he had even gone on a strength battle with someone with an Obsidian physique. He won using his Khaos energy, but Raiden was strong; no doubt they all recognized his strength. Having a B-class Talent doesn't mean shit to him; he was the Stormfang heir, having a mountain size of resources on him, he was strong.
Now, there was a D-rank talent person right in front of him, and he couldn't budge Kurogami even without using his full strength.
Kurogami grabbed Raiden's hand and removed it slowly from his shoulders. He twisted it slightly, and Raiden was forced to kneel. Raiden struggled to get back control, but couldn't while using all his strength. Vines popped out of his head. "I can't feel a hint of Khaos energy from him; this is just pure strength alone." Raiden looked closely at Kurogami, emotionless face, he could tell he wanted to even using half of his strength.
Raiden was enraged; he strengthened his right fist with khaos energy with the thought to punch Kurogami, but just as he was about to, he felt Kurogami's killing intent. He was like a rabbit trying to challenge the strength of a tiger. Raiden was sweating; he couldn't bear to move.
"What Raiden is losing i a strength battle," one of the nobles around Raiden said, stepping back twice.
"Impossible," another said
Why am I having the feeling?" Raiden thought, his mind went back to the past when he sparred with Riku, which he lost terribly; he hated this week's feeling and the expressionless expression Riku and Kurogami were giving him, looking at him as insignificant. Raiden gritted his teeth, enraged, but he couldn't bear to attack; all he could do was put his head down.
Kurogami finally broke his silence, "I don't have time with you six heirs, piss off."
Kurogami stared at the noble with Raiden. They all stepped away in fear. Raiden lost to him; they didn't dare to resist.
He let go of Raiden's hand and turned around, walking away with Daichi. After a few breaths, they vanished from Raiden's sight.
Raiden was still on the ground. He gradually got up; he was enraged.
Suddenly, someone appeared beside him, and he was wearing a black mask.
Raiden turned and looked at him, "You bastard, you were here."
Haru, the heir of the venomshades clan heir, didn't say a word towards Raiden, just looking in the direction Kurogami and Daichi passed.
Name: Haru Hoshiguro
Age: 20
Physic: 6 feet tall, with a slim built body, purple hair, and eyes.
Current Cultivation: unknown.
"Tho raiden isn't the strongest, but in terms of raw strength, raiden and Kenji hold the top rank, but for him to overpower Raiden like that, he is going to be a tough one", Haru thought, "I'd better report back to Riku." Instantly, he disappeared. This was the specialty of the Venomshades clan: stealth and precise attack.
Far ahead of Kurogami, he spotted a sleek car approaching, its frame hovering just inches above the ground. The vehicle gleamed in polished black, sharp and smooth like a blade, humming faintly with energy. It was clearly a VIP-class ride, slim, long, built for speed and luxury, more like a floating Lambo than a normal car.
Daichi whistled low and glanced at Kurogami with a grin. "Guess we're getting special treatment today."
The car door slid open with a soft hiss. They both stepped in, sitting opposite each other. The interior was wide and spotless, lined with chrome lights that pulsed softly along the edges.
As the car lifted higher, gliding through the airways of the city, Kurogami turned toward the window, eyes wide. The city stretched endlessly beneath them, alive and shining.
Neon signs flickered across the skyline, drones zipped past in steady lines, and the rhythm of human progress thrummed in the distance. "Wow…" Kurogami murmured, his reflection caught in the glass.
Daichi chuckled softly, his arms folded as he leaned back. "Yeah. We've come this far,"
After a moment of silence, Kurogami turned to him, a small smile forming. "You're not going to ask about my strength, or my origin?"
Daichi tilted his head, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "If you're not ready to talk, I'll respect that. Everyone has their secrets."
Kurogami's eyes narrowed slightly, amused, but he said nothing. The two shared a quiet moment as the car glided beyond the bustling towers of the main district. Slowly, the scenery began to shift, from the bright, towering city to a more grounded area, less crowded, less polished. In every society, there is always the best part and the bad part.
Kurogami's expression lost its spark.. "Where are we going?" he asked.
Daichi smirked without looking back. "Don't rush. I figured you probably don't have the necessities of a citizen yet."
"Oh… ?" Kurogami said, scratching his neck awkwardly.
"Yeah," Daichi replied, his tone casual but firm. "So, first stop, we're getting your registration handled."
The car soon descended, landing beside a smaller station building that looked like a branch of one of the city's main industries. The place wasn't large, but the technology inside was advanced.
As they stepped in, the staff immediately straightened up, their expressions shifting when they noticed two young lads coming over.
The staff behind the counter was a middle-aged man with pale skin and a calm, steady posture. Attached to his right eye was a small metallic scope, faintly glowing blue. The lens extended slightly as it began to scan the incoming figures.
The moment his scan caught Daichi's face, the man froze briefly before straightening his back."Mr. Daichi," the employee greeted, voice polite but careful. "How can I be of assistance today?"
"I'm here to open an account for my friend," Daichi replied, motioning toward Kurogami.
The man's lens retracted as his brows lifted slightly; he had no information on kurogami. "Understood. That won't take long."
He reached beneath the counter and brought out a small cylindrical device with a glowing thumbprint pad on top. Inserting a thin cable from the device into his work console, he said, "Place your thumb here, sir."
Kurogami pressed his thumb against the surface. The pad flickered, scanning lines of blue data up his arm before flashing green.
"All done, Mr. Kurogami, " the man said. The scanning brought up all the information about Kurogami. There was nothing much, just name and general detail, the staff's normal left eye gazed at Kurogami, "Hmm, he is probably Daichi's new pet," the man thought. After a few brief taps on his terminal, he pulled out a small white card.
He slid it across the counter toward Kurogami; the card had Kurogami's name on it.
"This is a standard account card where one can store drakons, the currency of the Duskborne nation. White means your balance is currently empty," he explained. "Once you start storing drakons, it will shift in color based on your total amount. Green for stable funds, blue for million-tier accounts, red for hundred-million accounts, and black for the billion-tier, the are only but handful full if black cards in the world."
Kurogami turned the card in his hand, the thin surface gleaming under the light. He nodded and slipped it into his pocket.
"Thanks," Daichi said, giving the man a brief nod before turning.
The two stepped out of the mini-branch and moved deeper into the district. The air was warmer, thick with the scent of metal, oil, and street food. The narrow market lanes were crowded with traders shouting prices, machines humming, and buyers haggling for mechanical parts or small devices.
Food stalls lined the corners, the smell of spice and steam mixing with the faint stench of exhaust. even anomalies part around where displayed for sale. Anomalies are best outside the city, which is corrupted by Khaos energy
Not everything here was trade. Along the street's edge, women stood by neon posts, their bodies enhanced with high-grade prosthetics that gave them an almost unreal symmetry. Smooth curves, perfect lines, and metallic tattoos glowed faintly under their skin.
"Hey, handsome," one of them said, running her hand lightly over Daichi's arm. "Want a good time?"
Daichi didn't even glance her way. He simply walked past, eyes fixed ahead.
Kurogami, however, froze for a moment, eyes wide, trying to make sense of everything he was seeing. The sights, the sounds, the voices, it was all so new.
Then Daichi's voice snapped him back. "yoo...Keep moving," he said without turning.
Kurogami quickly followed behind, still glancing around at the chaotic beauty of the lower district.
