Chapter 73 - My Name is Fujimaru Ritsuka, and This One Seems Stable

72. My Name is Fujimaru Ritsuka, and This One Seems Stable

My name is Fujimaru Ritsuka, I'm 17 years old, and I'm a savior trying to save the world.

Well, that being said, I'm just an ordinary person.

I went there only to donate blood, but somehow ended up joining an organization called Chaldea.

As for why I joined, they mentioned the high salary, so I decided to accept the offer.

It wasn't a big deal at first, but then one day the organization collapsed.

And so began my journey.

Singularity F - Flame Contaminated City: Fuyuki.

First Singularity - Hundred Years' War of the Evil Dragons: Orleans.

Second Singularity - Eternal Madness Empire: Septem

Third Singularity - Sealed Ends of the Four Seas: Okeanos

Fourth Singularity - The Mist City: London

Fifth Singularity - North American Myth War: E Pluribus Unum

Sixth Singularity - Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot

And the upcoming singularity - Mesopotamia, her destination.

Fujimaru Ritsuka took a deep breath. She had a feeling this journey would be very different.

"Senior, are you alright?" Mash asked worriedly.

Mash thought it might be the approaching Seventh Singularity that had made her nervous.

Fujimaru Ritsuka smiled and shook her head.

"It's okay, Mash. I just have this weird feeling."

Mash tilted her head in confusion.

"What is that weird feeling?"

Fujimaru Ritsuka smiled brightly.

"I have a feeling something good will happen today."

"I hope so," Roman approached, his tone tinged with worry.

The Seventh Singularity is definitely not going to be easy; that was back in the days when gods still roamed.

Fujimaru Ritsuka gave Roman a thumbs-up.

"Don't worry, doctor, it'll be fine."

"I've always felt an inexplicable sense of confidence from you. Any secrets?" Da Vinci asked as she smiled.

"I don't know. But somehow I just feel a strange sense of relief about it," Fujimaru Ritsuka smiled and shook her head.

"Alright, confidence is a good thing, but you still need to be cautious. Get ready now, it's time to set off," Da Vinci instructed earnestly.

Roman also began adjusting Chaldea's instruments and nodded solemnly to Fujimaru Ritsuka.

The spirit particle transformation began.

...

The sky was a brilliant blue, free of any industrial pollution, its purity enchanting. A sharp wind blew, carrying a refreshing air unique to ancient times, as if even the air was imbued with the magic of the Age of Gods.

—If you ignore their current situation.

Fujimaru Ritsuka blinked, confirming she was seeing things correctly—she was free-falling!

"Waaaah... "

She instinctively flailed her arms, trying to grasp at something, but there was nothing around her except air.

"Senior! Hold on to me!" Mash quickly adjusted her stance, attempting to use her shield as a buffer, but the next second—

"Fuck you, chat group, you piece of shit! Why are we in the sky?" Xiling complained loudly.

"You're still complaining? Hurry and figure something out!" Kevin shouted as the wind roared.

"I need to get used to this world's magic. I can't use magic for now!" the Tarnished cried in terror.

Fujimaru Ritsuka reluctantly turned her head and saw several unfamiliar figures also falling from the sky. A black-haired young man, expressionless, allowed himself to fall, his eyes surveying her and Mash thoughtfully.

And further away—

"Wow! Is this what free-falling feels like?!" a purple-haired girl shouted excitedly. As she finished her cry, a pair of wings instantly appeared behind her, carrying her and a pale, gray-haired girl in her arms, her eyes tightly closed.

Elaina, on her broom, carried Lemuen, and the four of them soared through the air. Elaina watched the other four people falling from the sky and raised her staff, intending to help them.

But the four of them had already found their feet. Kevin, without a second thought, embraced Xiling, who was standing nearby. The Tarnished had already clung to Xiling, while Dan Heng placed a hand on Xiling's shoulder, expressionless.

Xiling felt the heaviness of his group. Could this be the Gravity Boy?

Putting aside his scattered thoughts, Xiling stopped mid-air and scooped up the two stunned people nearby.

Everyone's falling speed suddenly slowed, and they finally landed lightly on the ground. After everyone arrived, Xiling looked around before asking, "Why are you all here?"

Kevin said seriously, "It's just a part-time job, not bad at all."

The Tarnished said equally seriously, "I'm here to get the reward."

"Saving the world? Of course, the savior has to be there," Houraiji Kyuushou said with a smile, touching her nose after setting Luo Tianyi down.

Luo Tianyi rubbed her head sheepishly, "I had a feeling everyone would come together. If I didn't come, I'd feel a bit out of place."

"Is this the place described in the quest, Babylon?" Dan Heng rubbed his chin in thought.

Still sitting on her broom, Elaina frowned as she gazed down from high above, warning the group below, "We have been surrounded by Demonic Beasts. Be prepared!"

A voice from the sky silenced Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash, who were about to ask something.

Almost as Elaina finished her words, a foul gust of wind blew in their faces.

From all directions, dense swarms of Demonic Beasts emerged from behind the dunes, their fangs bared, saliva dripping from their mouths, their crimson eyes fixed intently on the uninvited guests.

"Senior, stand behind me!" Mash immediately raised her shield, blocking Fujimaru Ritsuka's path.

However—

"Submit to me."

A gentle yet unmistakable voice rang out.

Luo Tianyi took a step forward, facing the ferocious herd of monsters, and softly uttered three words.

The wind suddenly stilled for a moment.

The next second, invisible waves spread out from her center, and the Demonic Beasts froze in their movements. The fierce gleam in their eyes gradually faded, replaced by a bewildered docility. They crouched down, sitting obediently on the ground like tamed beasts, some even wagging their tails ingratiatingly.

Fujimaru Ritsuka: "...?"

Mash: "...?!"

After completing all this, Luo Tianyi put her hands on her hips and exuded a proud expression, hoping to receive praise from her friends, but what she received was...

"How could this be? Since when did you, Tianyi, actually say such things?" Xiling covered his mouth, a look of devastated shock on his face.

"Hey!" Luo Tianyi puffed out her cheeks and stamped her foot in dissatisfaction.

Houraiji Kyuushou gave her a thumbs-up: "So cool, Tianyi! But you could change the lines next time; I think it could be more domineering—"

She flung her cape violently, covered her eyes with one hand, and shouted with a chuunibyou slang: "Demonic Beasts! Submit to me!"

Luo Tianyi: "...No."

Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mashu exchanged glances, finally unable to resist stepping forward and asking: "Um... may I ask who you are?"

The wind suddenly picked up.

Houraiji Kyuushou's coat rustled, and she turned with an exaggerated gesture, covering her eyes with one hand and raising the other high—

"We are those who hear the world's cries!"

"Crossing the dimensional wall, we answer the call of despair!"

"This is the path to salvation, this is a battle of destiny!"

"We—the saviors of another world—are here!" "

Fujimaru Ritsuka: "..."

Mash: "..."

Kevin: "Does she have to say such long lines every time she appears?"

Tarnished: "Yeah, you'll get used to it."

Dan Heng: "..."

Fujimaru Ritsuka was silent for three seconds, then suddenly smiled brightly: "Great! It seems we have a lot of reliable allies this time!"

Mash: "...Senior, aren't you accepting this too quickly?"
