Swimming two miles to reach the island wasn't difficult, especially with magic strengthening my own body.
Once I get off the beach I change out of my wetsuit, and put on a long sleeve shirt and a pair of sweats.
As I move through the jungle, I see an elevated rail system hidden within the jungle. Following the line I can see it leading towards a waterfall south of where I am. While following the track to the waterfall might work, I have no idea what I will find at the end of the line and it would be the same problem if I try following toward the beginning of the track.
While debating a course of action, a plane, in the shape of a manta ray, flies over the island before plugging into the water. It didn't look like a crash landing, but rather a planned descent. If so, then this place is more advanced than I thought.
I decided to take a closer look of the jungle around me. I noticed several birds along my path, but it is not their beauty that attracts my attention, rather the fact that they don't behave like normal birds.
Yes, their heads move around and they occasionally peck themselves, but not once have they moved from the branches they sit on nor have they attempted to fly away.
I'm beginning to suspect that they are sophisticated surveillance devices. Some of the best I have ever seen. Still... some improvements need to be made if they want to spot me, but these could be useful if I could find out how they where made.
Bypassing the suspicious birds, I am about a mile away from the compound.
RUMBLE RUMBLE
RUMBLE BOOM RUMBLE
Feeling the ground shake beneath me. I stop and focus my magic into my ears. I can hear several mechanical noises, moving towards me, but away from the compound.
I hide myself behind a large bush and prepare some flashbangs just in case.
Soon a giant... spherical robot travels through the jungle. Standing on six elongated legs with each leg having three claws. It knocks over several trees as it traverses through the jungle.
As it moves pass me, I slowly keep moving forward. I soon come upon a strange man in a black body suit with a large white S on the front and also white gauntlets and boots.
His looks are identical to the rumored founder of the company, but he has definitely changed his appearance, especially his hair. He appears to be talking into a communicator located on his gauntlets.
"I'm going after Mr. Incredible, continue the preparation of phase 3 and make sure everything is completed to my direct orders."
The costumed man then launches into the air using what appears to be rocket boots. While he rockets off after someone, I turn toward an exposed conference room. The outer wall slowly rises up.
If I don't take the chance to get inside know. I might spend the rest of the day trying to get in.
"...Screw it"
I sprint toward the opening and perform a vertical jump over the rising wall before it gets too high.
"Ok.... I made it in.... now what?"
