Valentina returned from the bathroom where she went to dress up to be discharged, to find doctor Hernandez waiting for her.
Natalia and Elio who were supposed to be waiting for her were not in the room anymore.
She decided the doctor had perhaps told them to step out.
"Hey doctor. Please tell me I can finally leave? Why wasn't I able to go yesterday when I already felt better?" She questioned, planting her hand on her hips.
Doctor Hernandez continued to look at her as if she was a mystery.
"Hello doctor?" She waved across his face, and that was when he snapped out of it.
"I'm so sorry about that," he cleared his throat, and wiped an invincible spec of dust from his eyes.
"Let me guess? You're one of those people that knew Bianca Barone?" She lifted a brow.
He smiled. "You're intuitive."
She shrugged. "I seem to bear a striking resemblance to my mother. That's my curse right?"
His eyes squinted. "A curse? Why would that be a curse?"
