Chapter 424: Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star VS Time-Space Mirage
And so it was!
As the Six Paths Yin-Yang power in Naruto and Sasuke's palms glowed, an invisible force spread out in all directions. The space seemed to turn into chaos, and Li Yao's Flying Thunder God technique had no effect; he couldn't teleport away.
Zzzzt!
Li Yao's eyes widened in an instant, but there was no time to think and respond. Instinctively, with the speed of thought, Li Yao used the most reliable technique he could think of to save his life in this situation.
A dark purple chakra flickered!
At the same time.
"Six Paths—Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star!"
"Ninjutsu—Time-Space Mirage!"
The Six Paths sealing technique and Li Yao's space-time ninjutsu were almost simultaneously activated.
Invisible spatial gravity nodes instantly descended upon Li Yao, with waves of spatial power compressing into his body.
However…
Li Yao's body became illusory in that instant, appearing in front of them but remaining impossible to touch.
The violent spatial forces gathered on Li Yao's illusory body but couldn't form a spatial gravity node, unable to complete the final Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique.
At that moment, Li Yao resembled the moon reflected in the water. The spatial forces activated by the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique surged like a tumultuous stream of water.
It seemed as if Li Yao, the moon in the water, was affected by the turbulent water, but in reality, the true Li Yao remained untouched.
"Impossible!!!"
"Absolutely impossible!!!"
In the Pure Land space, the Six Paths Sage, floating cross-legged, suddenly fell to the ground, bracing himself on the floor, kneeling in the pure water. He ignored his disheveled position and stared in shock at the reflection in the water.
"The Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique was clearly completed, but why hasn't the final seal activated?"
The Six Paths Sage spoke with disbelief.
This was a technique he had improved over the millennia, more refined and powerful than when he sealed his mother a thousand years ago. It was the most powerful space sealing technique.
With his expertise in space ninjutsu, it was impossible for Li Yao, an outsider, to surpass him.
Once activated, the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique would lock the space, and no matter how powerful the space ninjutsu, it would be sealed and could not be used.
Why wasn't Li Yao affected?
Could it be that his space ninjutsu is stronger than mine?
That's impossible!
The Six Paths Sage shook his head.
If Li Yao's space ninjutsu were stronger, Naruto and Sasuke would have already lost.
His space ninjutsu could never be as powerful as mine.
Could his space ninjutsu be special?
The Six Paths Sage thought again.
Was Li Yao's illusory figure in a layered space?
Or had he done the same thing as that Uchiha kid, moving his body to another space?
The Six Paths Sage considered many possibilities, but even if everything was as he thought, such a level of space ninjutsu should still not be able to escape the spatial confinement of the seal!
The Six Paths Sage was baffled.
He could clearly see that the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique had been triggered, which meant Li Yao had been locked, but the spatial gravity node wasn't placed to complete the final sealing.
After the activation of the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique, the surrounding space had already been locked. Li Yao should not have been able to use his space abilities, even in a layered space.
Logically, Li Yao couldn't escape the seal.
The fact that Li Yao failed to teleport shows his space ninjutsu was indeed affected.
But why?
The Six Paths Sage looked at Li Yao's illusory figure, disturbed by the chaotic spatial force, and his expression flickered.
The Six Paths Sage was impulsively tempted to intervene directly and see how Li Yao had resisted the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique, but he suppressed the urge.
"At this point, I can only see if those two kids can create another miracle."
The Six Paths Sage sighed, floating again, sitting cross-legged, and even closed his eyes. The reflection in the pure water vanished.
The Six Paths Sage decided to stop thinking about Li Yao, forcing himself not to focus on him.
If he didn't, he feared he might be unable to stop himself from acting directly.
After all, he was a powerful being from another world, with chakra and the ability to travel between worlds. The Six Paths Sage was very interested, especially in the Dragon Vein chakra.
The Dragon Vein had existed since ancient times, and the Six Paths Sage had once pursued it.
But the Dragon Vein, it seemed, had a will of its own. Whoever sought it couldn't find it unless it allowed them to.
A thousand years ago, after his mother was sealed, the Six Paths Sage had wanted to resurrect his lover and restore the damaged land. He had learned about the Dragon Vein's time properties from the toads of Mount Myoboku and thought to use it to restore the land and bring his lover back from the river of time.
But he searched the world, and the Dragon Vein was nowhere to be found.
For thousands of years, people had entered the Kingdom of Loulan only to emerge, but when someone else sought it, the Kingdom of Loulan had already turned to ruins.
Time and space are unpredictable, and no one could control them.
Now, through the Nine Tails chakra, the Six Paths Sage had discovered that Li Yao, this outsider, had bypassed the Dragon Vein's power and used his own strength to come to this world. How could the Six Paths Sage not be intrigued?
He wanted to seal Li Yao to study him and see if he could learn the ability to traverse worlds from him.
But unfortunately, Li Yao's space... No, maybe it wasn't space, but time-space ninjutsu.
The Six Paths Sage suddenly opened his eyes, and an idea struck him.
Li Yao was not unaffected by the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique because his space ninjutsu was stronger, but because Li Yao was using true time-space ninjutsu, a ninjutsu that encompassed both time and space.
Therefore, the Six Paths Earth-Bursting Heavenly Star sealing technique, which could only seal space, had no effect on Li Yao's time ninjutsu, causing the sealing to fail.
"Yes, that's it!"
"Li Yao..."
The Six Paths Sage's eyes lit with greed. After all, it was time-space ninjutsu.
But just as he couldn't suppress his urge to intervene directly, a pair of starry eyes in the depths of his memory instantly extinguished the greed in his gaze.
"Forget it, I've waited for a thousand years, there's no need to take risks now."
The Six Paths Sage's expression darkened, shaking his head and closing his eyes.
This time, the Six Paths Sage truly let go of his greed for Li Yao and stopped thinking about what Li Yao had.
At this moment.
In the real world.
Boom!
A massive explosion erupted.
The uncontrollable spatial force that had been searching for Li Yao's real body exploded. Naruto and Sasuke were sent flying three kilometers away, crashing into the ground.
Boom! Boom! Boom! They tumbled and created several deep craters before finally stopping.
Pff! Pff!
Once they stopped, wrapped in Nine Tails chakra and Susanoo, both Naruto and Sasuke immediately spat out blood.
The spatial force's explosion had directly penetrated the protection of Nine Tails and Susanoo, attacking their internal organs. Had they not had Six Paths-level chakra protecting them, they would have exploded when the spatial force passed.
But though they didn't die, both were severely injured.
