Chapter 68: A Jutsu That Can Fly
"Wait, keep me alive, I can help you take revenge on the Third."
"I know many of the Third's ninjutsu secrets…"
"I… ugh!"
Li Yao looked at Sarutobi Mina's head—only her head remained. The kunoichi was truly beautiful; if possible, he wouldn't have minded leaving the Third a very special gift.
Unfortunately, his current strength didn't allow him to act so high-profile.
Bang!
"Hm…"
A high-temperature flame formed from Fire Release chakra appeared above Li Yao's palm. Just as he was about to destroy the evidence, three scrolls lying beside Sarutobi Mina's broken body caught his attention.
Extinguishing the flame in his hand, Li Yao crouched down and picked up the three scrolls.
"Oh… these seem to be sealing scrolls. They can seal ninjutsu, kunai, and other ninja tools inside."
"I wonder… can they seal a head?"
Li Yao glanced at Sarutobi Mina's beautiful, wide-open eyes. Suddenly, a certain jutsu developed by the Second Hokage came to mind.
It seemed… that even affronting someone in front of their father could still be made possible.
With that thought, the corners of Li Yao's mouth curled upward in a faint smile.
"Only one way to find out."
Li Yao unrolled a scroll. In the center, black sealing patterns like tadpole markings formed a circle. The inside was blank, meaning nothing had yet been sealed into it—it was still usable.
Sensing the flow of the sealing formula's markings within the scroll, Li Yao thought for a moment, then placed the scroll on the ground. Forming chakra in both hands, he pressed them against the scroll, activating the black sealing marks.
In an instant, Li Yao felt the sealing patterns come alive under his control.
He immediately guided the black markings to crawl outward, spreading over Sarutobi Mina's head.
Then something remarkable happened.
Once the black markings covered her head completely, her head seemed to melt like molten iron, turning into a black liquid that flowed back along the sealing patterns into the scroll.
Soon, a large "Seal" character appeared at the center of the circular pattern on the scroll.
At the same time, in the upper left corner, a "Release" character formed—likely the point where chakra could be applied to unseal it.
Tucking the scroll away into his chest, Li Yao stood up, his face showing an expectant smile.
"I look forward to the moment you and your father reunite."
"That will surely be an unforgettable and exquisite moment."
So he thought to himself.
Then, Li Yao unleashed three Fire Release techniques to completely erase everything on the ground before heading toward his main body's location.
He needed to hand over the sealing scroll to his true self for safekeeping.
This was something that could cause the Third great pain in the future—it must not be lost.
Six hours later.
In a dense forest, three figures arrived at the scene. The leader was tall and wore a white monkey-patterned mask.
The other two also wore the special masks of the Anbu.
One of them crouched beside a pile of black powder, pinched some between his fingers, and said to the man with the white mask, "Lord Tenchu, it's already been six hours."
Another brought over three Yuzu Village forehead protectors left on the ground and said, "It was the patrol team that spotted Li Yao."
Sarutobi Tenchu glanced at them, picked up one forehead protector, flipped it over, and saw the engraved characters "Mina" on the back. His brows furrowed slightly.
He knew of this illegitimate daughter of his father's.
But he had never acknowledged her. A child born of his father's drunken lust had no right to inherit the Sarutobi name.
Now that she was dead, it was for the best—she would no longer tarnish his father's honor.
"Report the patrol team's sacrifice to Konoha."
Handing the protector to one of his subordinates, Sarutobi Tenchu spoke expressionlessly.
"Yes." The teammate immediately whistled to summon a messenger hawk and began writing the report.
