Early morning.
Fahad was sitting on his bed, leaning slightly forward.
On the table beside his bed lay a half-filled glass of water and an Aleve tablet.
Fahad was shirtless.
Someone knocked on his bedroom door.
Fahad said, "You can come in."
Juliana entered the room.
She asked Fahad, "Are you feeling okay?"
Fahad sat up properly and replied,
"I've never really felt unwell.
Just a slight headache."
Elsewhere, Frostbite was engaged in intense, brutal training.
At the same time, Colonel Jafar was sitting inside the monitoring room of Fahad's house.
Suddenly, he heard something.
His system began capturing an extremely high-frequency signal.
Colonel Jafar immediately called everyone at once.
After that, everyone gathered in the monitoring room and began listening to what was happening.
From the sounds alone, it was clear that President Hamid was inside a room, adjusting a chair and a table.
Then he sat down on a chair.
He cleared his throat.
Just from the audio, everyone could tell one thing for sure that the President was extremely nervous.
Then he started speaking:
"We have started something.
Something we want to finish, but many obstacles have come in our way.
Now the time has come to complete the task. Our location has changed slightly."
Fahad and everyone else listened carefully to the President's words.
But the moment he began to say the address, his voice suddenly started to distort.
Within seconds, the sound completely cut off.
Everyone was confused, wondering what was happening.
At that moment, Colonel Jafar stood up and said,
"The President is sweating."
Frostbite asked,
"What?"
Colonel Jafar repeated,
"The President is sweating. Because of that, the device isn't functioning properly."
Fahad was surprised and said, "I misjudged the path. But I have to make it right."
Frostbite asked, "But how?"
Fahad said,
"Since the President said 'we', that means he was discussing this with several people somewhere—most likely in a place like a conference room. He was extremely nervous, which means he was afraid to speak.
So it's possible that he mentioned a location that he knows isn't very convenient. Right now, the President is thinking that we'll assume the location is far away.
But I can say this with complete confidence that the location will be very close to the Science Lab. And the President will put on an act so that we believe the location is out of range. That's it."
Seeing Fahad's sharp reasoning, both Jafar and Juliana were completely stunned.
Because there was almost a ninety percent chance that Fahad's analysis was correct.
Then suddenly, a sound was heard through the cameras inside the Science Lab. Since there were so many cameras, no one could immediately understand which camera the sound was coming from.
Fahad quickly tracked the sound frequency through the camera system and discovered that the noise was coming from Camera Number 37.
The sound felt like someone was knocking violently on a door, again and again.
Fahad and the others waited for a few moments, trying to observe what was happening. Then, all of a sudden, the sound stopped completely.
Fahad sensed danger at the Science Lab. Frostbite had felt the same danger but only earlier than Fahad.
Fahad stood up and said,
"Something isn't right. Uncle Jafar, stay with Juliana and keep her safe. Frostbite, come with me."
Within minutes, Fahad and Frostbite reached the Science Lab. They quickly jumped out of Jafar's car and ran toward the building.
Even from outside the main door, loud noises could be heard. It felt as if many people were inside.
As soon as they entered, they saw Captain Abraham's dead body. He had been killed brutally.
Frostbite immediately drew his sword and held it firmly in his hand. Fahad, unarmed, carefully observed everything around him.
Suddenly, a tall, well-built man wearing a suit stepped forward in front of them.
Frostbite moved in front of Fahad and said,
"John Harvey."
