Chapter 133 - Chapter 134: Black Seal City

"That's a fifth-tier magical beast, the Six-Winged Black Snake King! To be able to tame it and use it as a mount, this person must be incredibly powerful!"

"That's right! To dare to flaunt himself in the Black Horn Region, his strength must be unfathomable. We must absolutely not provoke him.

If we anger him, we'll be dead." "Right, right, right. We can't afford to offend such a powerful individual. We just ask them to leave quickly and not linger here."

Everyone whispered to each other, their voices trembling. They stared at Xiao Ling and his companions as they retreated, their eyes filled with fear and retreat. They dared not even breathe, fearing to attract the attention of Xiao

Ling and his companions. Xiao Ling had little interest in these looters. He patted the Six-Winged Black Snake King, signaling them to continue forward.

The Six-Winged Black Snake King understood his intention and soared high, leading the group away from the uneasy and dangerous plains of the Black Horn Region.

After another half day of flight, a massive mountain came into view.

At the foot of the mountain, a vast city, formed from massive, dark rocks, loomed vaguely.

The atmosphere at the city's four gates was gloomy and oppressive.

Tall and heavy, like the closed jaws of a great beast, they exuded an unsettling aura. The jet-black metal, stained with rust, seemed to speak of the vicissitudes and suffering this city has endured.

In the center of the gate, the three characters "Black Seal City" were written prominently. The handwriting was vigorous, yet also tinged with a chilling atmosphere.

On either side of the gate stood a group of heavily armed guards, their faces stern, their eyes piercing with ruthlessness and indifference, surveying the passersby like frozen statues.

Those entering the city were silent, hurried, and their steps heavy. People carrying backpacks hunched over, as if suffocating under an invisible burden.

Riders on skinny horses lowered their heads, their faces etched with exhaustion and resignation. Carts carrying goods struggled across the rough ground, making an irritating creaking sound.

Occasionally, a low cry was drowned out by the gloomy atmosphere. Children dared not cry, fearing unnecessary trouble.

The entire city gate seemed shrouded in a haze, creating an overwhelming sense of oppression and dreariness.

"This is the Black Horn Region. There is no order, only strength reigns supreme. You must be careful when you visit the Black Horn Region." Xiao Ling, who was seated at the banquet, stood up and gave Xiao Yan a few words of advice.

"Don't worry, cousin. I'll be careful." Seeing Xiao Ling's serious expression, Xiao Yan nodded earnestly.

Xiao Ling formed a specific hand seal, casting a phantom dream, blocking the perception of those below.

Xiao Ling's hands moved rapidly, and strange rays of light swirled around his fingertips, with mysterious runes looming.

The strange light instantly spread out, enveloping the crowd below like an overwhelming force, creating a subtle effect that made it difficult for them to detect the six-winged black snake king in the sky. After

passing through the gates of Black Seal City, Xiao Ling found a relatively open area and allowed the six-winged black snake king to land.

The six-winged black snake king circled in the air and slowly descended. Its massive wings whipped up gusts of wind, sending dust flying from the streets below. Xiao Ling stood firmly on the king's back, his expression serious and focused. He stared intently at an empty area below—an abandoned square, sparsely populated, a relatively safe landing spot.

As the king neared the ground, its wings slowed, its massive body gradually lowering in altitude. Xiao Ling was the first to leap from its back, landing firmly on the rubble.

Xiao Yan, Zi Yan, Xiao Yixian, and Qing Lin followed suit. Xiao Yan stumbled slightly upon landing, but Xiao Ling reached out to steady him.

After the others landed, the six-winged black snake king's massive body trembled slightly, letting out a low hiss, as if expressing exhaustion from the flight. Qing Lin stepped forward, gently stroking the king's body, soothing it.

After Xiao Ling glanced around to make sure he hadn't attracted anyone's attention, he led everyone to an inn and rented a small courtyard.

After confirming there were no nearby threats, Xiao Ling said, "I'm going to get something first. You all find a place to rest. Once I've got it, we'll return to Canaan Academy."

After giving his instructions, Xiao Ling left the courtyard, wrapped in a black robe, and headed for the largest auction house in Black Seal City.

Arriving at the Black Seal Auction House, Xiao Ling slowly looked up and surveyed the building. The building before him was magnificent, even surpassing the grandeur of the Mitel Auction House headquarters in the Jiama Empire.

At the Black Seal Auction House's gate, dozens of impassive men in black, sharp weapons strapped to their waists, scanned the incoming and outgoing crowd with eagle-like gazes. The faint aura emanating from these men revealed that five were at the level of Doushi, while the others were at the peak of Douzhe.

The fact that a Dou Master could be seen guarding the gates speaks volumes about the Black Seal Auction House's strength. Compared to the Miter family of the Jiama Empire, it's far superior.

Leveraging his Dou Huang cultivation, Xiao Ling radiated a layer of Dou Qi around him, making it difficult for those around him to approach, allowing him to easily enter the auction hall.

His gaze scanned the surroundings, finally resting on the doorframe of a treasure appraisal room. After a moment's hesitation, Xiao Ling slowly entered.

As Xiao Ling entered the room, a strikingly dressed maid approached, her voice dripping with allure. "Sir, are you here to appraise treasures? Or to assess prices for auction?"

"The latter," Xiao Ling replied calmly, taking in the maid's voluptuous figure.

"Please follow me," the maid smiled charmingly, then turned and walked before Xiao Ling, her slender waist twisting.

Retracting his gaze from the maid and following her, Xiao Ling muttered to himself, "I don't know if this is just a fantasy novel trope, but auction houses usually have some very sexy maids."

He followed the maid for several dozen meters before she stopped in front of a small back room. She bowed respectfully to Xiao Ling and said with a smile, "Sir, as long as you submit your auction items to the masters inside for evaluation and review, you will be able to obtain auction seats of varying levels based on the value of your items."

With a slight nod, Xiao Ling gently pushed open the black wooden door, walked in, and closed the door behind him.
