Neither Yang Ze nor Cang Yue knew just how long they were asleep for. Perhaps due to their injuries, or perhaps due to the fact that they were really tired after going through so much, but neither of them wanted to wake up first. They just snuggled against each other with Cang Yue now facing towards Yang Ze while burying his tender body in hers. Her hands were tightly hugging him while her legs were wrapped around his waist like an octopus.
It was the slow noise from the outside world as well as the gentle morning sunlight that woke Cang Yue up.
"Umm..." Feeling the warm sunlight on her face, Cang Yue simply took a moment to breathe before looking down at Yang Ze's sleeping face with a complicated expression.
Who would have thought that, decades of living alone, always on the edge... she, too, would one day find someone who cared so deeply about her.
