King asked, "Didn't you say the future can be changed?"
Emiya nodded.
"It can."
"But in the original future, the closer Mai got to Andy, the faster Andy ran away."
"I remember that in '97, Mai even wore a wedding dress to the KOF tournament."

Emiya asked instead, "Do you think Mai would share a man with other women?"
King snorted.
She knew Mai too well.
Mai would never do that.
That wasn't the kind of love she wanted.
Emiya clapped his hands.
"Exactly."
"Since she wouldn't share, why would I pursue her?"
King froze.
Then she understood.
She looked at Emiya with clear disdain.
"...Ugh. You scumbag."
"I admit I'm a playboy," Emiya said calmly.
"But 'scumbag' is too harsh."
"It's mutual consent."
"I thought you were a good person," King muttered.
"I've always been a good person," Emiya interrupted.
King was furious.
Her understanding of Emiya's shamelessness deepened.
"A good person wouldn't do this."
"What did I do?"
"Toying with girls' feelings."
"You're wrong." Emiya was completely calm.
"I've never deceived anyone."
"If I pursue someone, I tell them everything."

The bar's doorbell rang.
Both of them looked toward the entrance.
A blond man in a yellow training suit walked in.
The outfit was unmistakable.
The Invincible Dragon.
Ryo Sakazaki.
Emiya was a little surprised to see him here.
But after thinking about it, it made sense.
This was Illusion Bar.
Ryo Sakazaki walked in with firm, powerful steps.
He was also surprised.
He rarely saw King alone with a man.

Ryo's expression darkened.
For a moment, he wanted to turn around and leave.
But he stopped himself.
He walked over and sat down beside Emiya.
He wanted to see exactly who this man was.
"King," Ryo said slowly.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to this man?"
